Locate all components within box: Monitor Shroud Assembly Full Acoustic Seal (2) Half Acoustic Seal (2) Support Brackets (4) Monitor Mounting Brackets - LH & RH Hardware Bag Assembly Direction Parts Tree Cable Ties (4) Foil Tape 2. Install two (2) support brackets to vertical posts with screws (2a). 3 4. Install two (2) support brackets to the vertical posts with screws into upper support brackets (4a), then into the monitor shroud upper corners (4b). Install two (2) screws in each lower corner of the monitor shroud assembly (4c). 3. Install bottom horizontal edge of monitor shroud assembly onto the support brackets (3a). 4 5. INSTALL ACOUSTIC SEALS Install the half acoustic seals on the monitor side of the shroud (5a) and install the full acoustic seals on the opposite side (5b). NOTE: HVAC type aluminum foil tape is provided to cover all unused openings in the mounting surface for best acoustical performance. TIP: Apply foil AFTER completing steps 6, 7, 8 and up to Engaging the Monitor to the Shroud in step 9. FULL ACOUSTIC SEAL 5b HALF ACOUSTIC SEAL 5a Page 4 of 19

5 6. ROUTING POWER Remove screws and acoustic barrier pan (6a). NOTE: If adding a second power receptacle box, additional holes may need to be drilled. Relocate the existing power receptable box to the vertical edge (90 from original position). Locate the second box in the same orientation (6b) or 180 (6c) from the first box. Use existing holes or drill additional holes as needed to attach the boxes using the two screws that are provided. NOTE: Pass through slots for cable routing are provided in the horizontal members of the monitor shroud unit. 6d CABLE TIE Route the flex conduit whip from the receptacle box to the power source location (ceiling, floor, etc.) (6d). The flex conduit whip must be supported every 4-1/2 foot using cable ties (provided). Select closest knockout feature (6e) for routing the conduit whip out of the acoustic barrier pan and remove the knockout. NOTE: If media:scape is part of the installation, cable tie slots are provided in multiple locations for optimal placement of the media:scape scaler. 6 7. ROUTING COMMUNICATIONS CABLING Determine where the cabling from the audio/video source will enter the monitor shroud unit (7a) and remove the closest elongated knockout (7b). NOTE: Four (4) elongated knockouts are provided to allow separation of power and communications cabling. 7b Route cabling through (7a - 7b) to the termination bracket (7c). 7 8. ADD MOUNTING BRACKETS TO BACK OF MONITOR Do not exceed maximum monitor weight rating of 200 pounds (91 Kg). Using screws, washers and spacers (provided in hardware bag) position mounting brackets as shown, arrows pointing toward each other, and run screws in loosely. 8 Measure monitor height and refer to the chart provided on this page to determine Dim X (bottom edge of monitor to bottom edge of brackets). Adjust mounting brackets vertically to Dim X and tighten screws securely. NOTE: To avoid difficulty engaging mounting bracket hooks into their respective slotted openings in the monitor shroud, please use reasonable care to align brackets vertically and parallel to each other. AUDIO/VIDEO CONNECTIONS AND MONITOR INSTALLATION Make audio/video connections from the termination bracket (9a) using short jumper cables (not provided) routing out for connection to the monitor inputs (VGA, HDMI, USB, etc.). Route the power cord from the monitor as needed and plug into the receptacle box (9b) on the monitor shroud. 9b For proper acoustical performance, apply HVAC type aluminum foil tape (provided) covering all openings on the face of the monitor shroud. (Tabs on the monitor mounting brackets will easily pierce the foil tape when engaging the monitor to the shroud.) Lift the monitor into position vertically and centered within the monitor shroud unit. Engage monitor mounting bracket tabs into slotted openings on the shroud (9c). VGA HDMI 9a CAUTION: Before walking away, lift the monitor firmly from the bottom in a vertical motion to ensure the anti-dislodgement feature is engaged. 9c Monitor security locking features NOTE: If security lock is required, acoustic barrier pan will need to be removed to access the security lock. 9 SAFETY CATCH FEATURE 10. DISENGAGING AND REMOVAL OF THE MONITOR NOTE: If security lock is installed, the skin on the opposite side of the wall and the acoustic barrier pan will need to be removed to access the security lock. See page 5, steps 6a & 6f for acoustic barrier pan removal. To remove, grasp firmly on the bottom edge of the monitor, pull outward first (10a), then upward (10b) to disengage the bottom hooks. NOTE: A safety catch feature on the top hook will keep the monitor from disengaging and falling forward at the top. With the bottom hooks disengaged, ease the monitor back to a near vertical position (10c) while dropping down slightly (10d). The top hooks should now disengage and allow the monitor to move easily away from the shroud (10e). 10 Optional skin segmentation below the monitor shroud (Double unit only) NOTE: Skin segmentation is only allowed below the double unit (not permitted above the unit) and the vertical post assembly must be centered under the monitor shroud assembly. 1. Swing vertical post assembly into position (1a). Holes are provided on the bottom of the monitor shroud assembly for installation of the vertical post assembly. Install two (2) screws (1b). Optional Camera Mounting Plate 1. Remove two (2) screws and receptacle box (1a) or termination bracket (1b) for access to six (6) mounting hole pattern. Slip tapping plate behind mounting surface of monitor shroud, align to hole pattern and secure as shown with two (2) metric M5 screws provided (1c). Position camera mounting shelf over hole pattern and secure into tapping plate with four (4) metric M5 screws (provided) (1d). Adjust elevation as needed. 13 5. Install Acoustic Seals Install the half acoustic seals on the monitor side of the shroud (5a) and install the full acoustic seals on the opposite side (5b). 15 8. Route cabling through elongated knock-out (8a), through the opening in the barrier pan (8b) and into the termination bracket (8c). Use the appropriate plastic termination bezel(s) for the type of connection required (VGA, HDMI, USB, etc.) from the parts tree (8d) provided. 7. Routing Communications Cable OPENING IN BARRIER PAN CABLING Determine where the cabling from the audio/video source will enter the monitor shroud unit (7a) and remove the closest elongated knockout (7b). Audio/Video Connections (see Microsoft Surface HUB User Guide) Make audio/video connections from the termination bracket (10a) using short jumper cables (not provided) routing out for connection to the monitor inputs (VGA, HDMI, USB, etc.). Install Security Screws UPPER SUPPORT BRACKET Lift the monitor into position vertically and centered within the monitor shroud unit. Engage the tabs located on the upper and lower support brackets into slotted openings on the shroud. Disengaging and Removal of the Monitor (See Microsoft Surface Hub User Guide) NOTE: See Microsoft Surface Hub Site Readiness Guide for installing handles for easier monitor removal. Side View 13a LOWER SUPPORT BRACKET 13e MONITOR Disconnect the power cord from the receptacle and all cables from input terminals on the monitor. SECURITY SCREW Remove each security screw (13a). Pull outward on each lower support bracket (13b). The bracket will want to spring back into place, making it difficult to remove the moniotor. To remedy this, place a scrap piece of wood or cardboard between the lower support bracket and the monitor shroud to prevent bracket from springing back (13c). 13b 13c LOWER SUPPORT BRACKET MONITOR SHROUD 13d To remove monitor, grasp firmly on the removal handles on the monitor, pull outward first (13d), then upward (13e) to disengage the bottom hooks.
