2 UIC 558 VE series connector The connector complies with the requirements of UIC 558 VE (up to 1994: UIC 58 VE). It connects lines used for the: remote control of lights remote control of doors public address systems in passenger coaches and multiple units transmission of binary data We can also supply contact inserts for special applications. Rugged design T he receptacle features an emergency release that ensures, provided the receptacle is installed in the correct position, a non-destructive separation of plug and receptacle when two electrically not decoupled vehicles move apart. Material I ncreased corrosion resistance to chemicals, in particular to detergents containing acids or alkalis Shell Quick and easy to install Shell can be split, allowing wiring checks Simple to replace individual elements Seals can be replaced without disassembling the contacts Uses the same basic design for normal receptacles and dummy receptacles.
