Each unit may handle up to 24 connectors. Adapters for ST, SC and LC may be delivered. Description A flexible panel suited for DIN-rail mounting. The panel is modular and may be delivered in variable sizes. The base unit has room for up to 24 LC-connectors or 12 SC or ST-connectors. The add-on unit has room for the same amount of connectors. The extending with an extra unit is done by removing the lid from the base unit and attach the add-on unit instead. The lid is then put on the add-on unit. In this way we may deliver panels with 48, 72, 96 or more connectors by increasing the total with of the panel. The base unit also has a mounting board for attaching components. This may be taken out of the panel to simplify assembly. The unit has two round cable entrances in the bottom. 1 PG cable gland is included for one of the entrances, the other entrance is covered with a membrane gland. There is an opening between the units to enable the fibre form the cable to be distributed between the units. DIN-panel, open with mounting board taken out Both the units and the lid is hinged at the top to make it easy to work inside all units without taking everything apart. This also helps avoiding damage to the fibre because the units are opened and closed in a controlled way. The hinges are snap-locks, this enables the units to be fully disconnected without the use of any tools. The adapter plate may also be removed by loosening similar snap-locks. Incoming cable may be directly terminated using field connectors (e.g. FAST, UniCam, LightCrimp Plus) or by splicing pigtails. Adapters, DIN-Rail clips and splice holder are included. The panel may be delivered with pigtails or pre-terminated cable type AXAI, QXXI or Micro-cable. AXAI have tight buffer and up to 24 fibre, a panel with 48 fibre will therefore be delivered with 2 cables. Double DIN-panel, open for work. The panel may also be delivered with CWDM multiplexer and de-multiplexer. Two panels (one at each end of the link) will then make a complete system with necessary components for duplex communication. The connection may be done by splicing the subscriber cable in the box. An option is also to install a pre-terminated subscriber cable directly in the box, or you may buy a pre-terminated wall-mount box with a defined cable length. The wall-mount box is normally mounted close to the home central. Connection to this is done using a subscriber patch cord. When running cable in a house the cable may be exposed to more severe bends than are normal in other parts of the network. This requires a fibre that is more insensitive to these types of effects. The subscriber patch cord/cable contains fibre according to ITU-T G.657.A2. Pigtails contain fibre according to ITU-T G.657.A1. The racetrack may be mounted directly on steel masts using four 10 mm J-bolts type On some steel masts it may be difficult to mount the racetrack directly. In those cases a tower attachment bracket (402920/1) may be used. This adapter is mounted to the mast using two 16 mm J-bolts type (10 mm J-opening). The racetrack is then mounted to this adapter using four 10 mm J-bolts type (18 mm J-opening). For single phase tower two galvanised steel tower attachment brackets may be used. These are mounted to the mast with four 16 mm J-bolts and the racetrack is mounted to the brackets with four 10 mm J-bolts. These may be delivered as a complete kit (402920/2K) - see accessories. When using Tykoflex joint closure the OPGW-cable is secured on the plate with cable clamps - see accessories. The FOSC-OPGW joint closure do not use the cable clamps - the cable is secured in the closure. J-bolts, cable clamps and tower attachments must be ordered separately.
