This checklist is used by the installing engineer t ensure that the instrument and assciated systems are crrectly installed, upgraded and functining as designed in yur facility. This checklist will be cmpleted at the end f the service and prvided t yu as a recrd f the installatin. Custmer Infrmatin Custmers shuld prvide all necessary perating supplies upn request f the engineer. Service Engineer s Respnsibilities Only cmplete/printut pages that relate t the system being installed. Cmplete empty fields with the relevant infrmatin. Cmplete the relevant checkbxes in the checklist using a X r tick mark in the checkbx. Cmplete Nt Applicable check bxes t indicate services nt delivered, as needed. 5 Agilent G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Checklist General Preparatin Verify that the Site Preparatin Checklist has been fllwed and fully cmpleted. Measure the main utlet line vltage VAC. Unpack/verify the cnditin and cmpleteness f shipment. Fr unpacking instructins, see the crrespnding unpacking r user guide. Fr discrepancies, use the table belw. Prduct r part descriptin Observatin Actin CAUTION Ensure that the y-axis and x-axis shipping stps remain installed n the Brav head munt until after yu install the Risers t prevent ptential equipment damage. Discuss any specific questins r issues with the custmer prir t starting. Discuss any cnfiguratin ptins with the custmer prir t starting. Determine whether the BenchCel and MiniHub devices will be installed n risers. Check fr required service nte applicability and firmware updates if cnnecting t instruments. Check that custmer-supplied PC hardware meets minimum requirements e.g. Site Preparatin Tl Infrmatics/Utilities/Pages/SWSitePrepTl.aspx Upgrades nly Ensure with custmer that instrument cntrl settings, data, methds, and s frth have been prperly saved r archived prir t starting any installatin prcedures. Task 1 - Install and set up the cmputer See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). Cnnect the cmputer, mnitr, muse, and keybard. Turn n the cmputer and create a Windws Administratr accunt fr the custmer (with administratr privileges) fr the custmer instead f using the preset Agilent ADMIN accunt, if pssible Verify that the VWrks sftware versin is crrect and activate the license. Ensure that yu have the NGS applicatin flder: XT_Illumina_ Set up the VWrks sftware fr the NGS prtcls: Create the VWrks NGS flder structure. Update the labware definitins and liquid classes (3 registry files). Set default errr handling behavir. Set up labware inventry management. 6 Agilent G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Checklist Task 2 - Install the Brav Platfrm See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). Install the Brav 146-mm Risers. Remve the y-axis and x-axis shipping stps frm the head munt. Cnnect the Brav pwer crd. Cnnect the Brav cmmunicatins cable using an Ethernet switch. Install the Rbt Disable Hub. Cnnect the 2 pendants and 4 e-stp jumpers. Cnnect the device prt n the hub t the Brav pendant prt. Task 3 - Install the Brav accessries and pipette head See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). Figure. Brav deck cnfiguratin (tp view) Install the Thermal Statin (cling pad) at deck lcatin 9. Cnnect and fill the Therm Cube, and turn n the pwer. Install the tw Peltier Thermal Statins (CPAC2) at deck lcatins 4 and 6. D nt install the plate inserts at this stage. Install the PCA bards in the Inhec MTC Cntrller fr the Peltier Thermal Statins. Cnnect and turn n the pwer. Install the Orbital Shaking Statin at deck lcatin 5. Cnnect and turn n the pwer. Prepare the Magnetic Bead Accessry fr installatin at deck lcatin 7. D nt install the accessry at this stage. Ensure pipette head is ready t install (tip bx stripper pins are retracted), and install the head. 7 Agilent G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Checklist Task 4 - Install the BenchCel Micrplate Handler See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). If applicable, install the BenchCel risers. Munt the rbt head n the BenchCel x-axis carriage. Integrate the BenchCel riser r integratin plate with the Brav riser. Cnnect the BenchCel pwer and the air surce. Cnnect the BenchCel pendant and pendant prt thrugh the Rbt Disable Hub. Cnnect the BenchCel cmmunicatins cable t the Ethernet switch. Task 5 - Install the Labware MiniHub See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). If applicable, install the MiniHub base n the MiniHub iplate riser assembly. Integrate the MiniHub riser assembly with the BenchCel riser, if applicable. Otherwise, integrate MiniHub iplate with BenchCel iplate. Inspect the 5 shelves t ensure that they are flat. Assemble the MiniHub shelves and spacers per the specified cnfiguratin. Cnnect the AC pwer supply. Cnnect the cmmunicatins cable. Ensure that the prper drivers are installed fr the DB9-t-RJ45 adapter and USB-t-serial adapter. Task 6 - Turn n the devices and cmplete the installatin See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). Ensure that pwer is n fr the Brav accessries. At Rbt Disable Hub, ensure LIGHT CURTAIN switch remains set t BYPASS. Ensure that cmputer is n. Turn n BenchCel air supply and pwer. Wait fr rbt t finish hming. Install labware racks n BenchCel. Turn n Brav Platfrm. Task 7 - Verify VWrks device files and Brav prfiles See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). In the VWrks sftware, check the device file check the device file fr the NGS XT_Illumina_1.5.1 applicatin: BravMiniPHBenchCel_rund_magnet.dev. In Brav Diagnstics, verify the Brav-Mag and Shaker prfile settings and initialize the prfile. Verify the deck cnfiguratin in the prfile and test the accessries. 8 Agilent G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Checklist Set and verify the pipette head teachpints fr the prfile: Use single pipette tip t set teachpint at lcatin 2. Remve single tip and munt full clumn f tips. Using a feeler gauge set teachpints at lcatins 1, 3, 8; at lcatins 4 and 6; at lcatin 5 using a teaching plate; and at lcatin 7. Verify the teachpint z-axis values. Munt full head f pipette tips. Verify lcatin 7 teachpint. Remve pipette tips frm head. Verify the gripper ffset. Save the prfile, remve the pipette tips, clse Brav Diagnstics, and clse the device file. Open the secnd device file, BravMiniPHBenchCel_rund_magnet_wash.dev, and create new Brav-2 Inserts Mag and Shaker prfile: Adjust z-axis teachpint at lcatin 4 fr the Red PCR Plate Insert. Adjust z-axis teachpint at lcatin 6 fr the Deepwell Plate Insert. In the device file, relink the Brav-2 Inserts Mag and Shaker prfile and save the changes. Task 8 - Set up the BenchCel and MiniHub See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). In BenchCel Diagnstics, initialize the BenchCel device. Verify that the BenchCel dwnstacks and upstacks tip bxes crrectly and that the sensrs are detecting the tip bxes. Set and verify the BenchCel teachpint at Brav deck lcatin 3 and tighten screws n the Brav- BenchCel integratin clamp. In MiniHub Diagnstics, initialize the MiniHub device. Set the MiniHub hme psitin at cassette 1 and tighten the BenchCel-MiniHub clamp screw. Set and verify the BenchCel teachpints fr MiniHub cassette 1, shelves 1 t 5. Task 9 - Install and test the safety equipment See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). Install the BenchCel shields. Install the Brav Light Curtain and cnnect the transmitter and receiver cables t Rbt Disable Hub. At the Rbt Disable Hub, set LIGHT CURTAIN switch t ENABLE. Install the Brav frnt tp and bttm shields. Install the Brav side shields and rear shield, if applicable. Test the safety equipment t ensure that interrupting the Light Curtain r pressing either pendant will cause an emergency stp f bth the Brav and BenchCel devices. Sectin NOT Applicable Unpack the PlateLc Sealer. Cnnect the PlateLc Sealer t the pwer surce. Cnnect the PlateLc Sealer t the air surce. Remve the small blck f fam packed inside the PlateLc Sealer. Task 11 - Validate the wrkstatin setup See the G5522A NGS Wrkstatin Optin B Installatin Guide (part number G ). In VWrks, cmpile the NGS applicatin prtcls t check fr errrs. Perfrm a simulated run f the AMPureXP_ILM_v1.5.1 prtcl (XT_Illumina_1.5.1 applicatin). Perfrm a mck run f AMPureXP_ILM_v1.5.1 prtcl. Service Review Attach available reprts/printuts t this dcumentatin. Recrd the time/date f installatin r upgrade cmpletin in the custmer s recrds/lgbk. Cmplete the Service Engineer Cmments sectin belw if there are additinal cmments. Review the installatin/upgrade with the custmer. Explain Agilent warranty fr instruments. Explain hw t use manuals, guides, and nline help. Explain hw t get self-help, FAQs frm the web. Explain hw t lg an instrument service call, supprt services available. Advise custmer f additinal instrument training ptins. If the Instrument firmware was updated, recrd the details f the change in the Service Engineer s Cmments bx belw r if necessary, in the custmer s IQ recrds.
