1 Mounting Bracket for 8 in. Charles Industries Pedestal for use with 3M Fiber Dome Terminal Closure FDT 08 Instructions October A

3 1.0 Introduction This kit mounts a 3M Fiber Dome Terminal Closure FDT 08 into an 8-inch Charles Industries pedestal. 2.0 Kit Contents A. (2) ¼-20 x 1 carriage bolts B. (2) ¼-20 nuts C. (2) 8 cable ties D. Mounting Bracket D Visually inspect all components. If any component is missing or appears damaged, do not install and call 3M customer service at for a replacement product. B A C 3.0 Installation 3.1 Install two 8 cable ties into the cable exit end of the mounting bracket to secure the main cables after closure installation. 3.2 Install the 1 inch long carriage bolts into the upper 2 holes as shown. Loosely attached nuts to back side to retain the bolts. These will be used to mount the fiber dome terminal closure. 3
4 3.3 Slide fiber dome mounting feet under the heads of the carriage bolts and tighten both nuts to 25 in.-lbs. ± 5 in.-lbs. 3.4 Tighten cable ties around cables. Attach drops to main cable. 3.5 Remove any existing mounting plates from the pedestal. Install the mounting bracket into pedestal base with bracket rotated clockwise relative to the mounting pins in the pedestal. 3.6 First position left side of bracket onto mounting pins. Then rotate bracket counterclockwise and pop right side pins into mounting slots.
5 4.0 Removal Use a screwdriver to pry out left side of bracket to clear pins. Rotate bracket counterclockwise and remove bracket from pins on opposite side. Lift bracket out of pedestal base. 5.0 Accessories UPC Number 3M I.D.
