The X-USB's four USB connectors enable users to extend a combination of USB keyboard and mouse and audio signals and/or up to four connected USB devices plus SVGA video. 23 ADDERLINK X Series KVM extension for high density environments and Cat6 installations X Series Skew ADDERLINK X SERIES The X Series Skew Compensation unit overcomes the problems sometimes caused when extending video across Cat5e and Cat6 cables. These cables are manufactured with different twist rates on the internal cable cores to reduce digital interference. However this causes cable length differences that can sometimes make the colours separate when carrying Red, Green and Blue video signals. To adjust for this effect the X-Skew can create a crystal clear image by selectively introducing signal delays to compensate for the signal mismatch in the cable. For maximum convenience your X-KVM and X-Gold units have built in skew reporting functions allowing the straightforward configuration of the Skew Compensation unit. X Series PDM The X Series Power Distribution unit is required when sending video signals only or when rackmounting multiple receivers. One module powers up to four X Series units. 23
