2 SAFETY INFORMATION 1. To ensure the best results from this product, please read this manual and all other documentation before operating your equipment. Retain all documentation for future reference. 2. Follow all instructions printed on unit chassis for proper operation. 3. To reduce the risk of fire, do not spill water or other liquids into or on the unit, or operate the unit while standing in liquid. 4. 6 FRONT PANEL - FUNCTION KEYS FRONT PANEL 1. POWER SWITCH: The power switch turns the unit on and off. The LED will illuminate blue to indicate that the switcher is ON and is receiving power. The switcher will remember that last state during a power cycle. When power is removed and resorted, the last configuration will be evoked. 2. STATUS DISPLAY: Front panel status display shows current routing configuration. This same display also shows particular configuration settings depending on your current function. In run mode (as shown above), the display shows each Output (destination) channel and which input (source) is assigned. 3. VOLUME CONTROL BUTTON: Press VR button to adjust Audio output (AR/AL) volume control. 4. IR SENSOR: The IR sensor receives IR commands from the supplied remote control or third party IR emitter. 5. INPUTS STATUS DISPLAY: Input sources 1 to 4 LEDs illuminates blue to indicate that a video source is present on that input. 6. HDMI SOURCE SELECT BUTTONS: Separate HDMI Inputs 1 thru 4 select buttons are provided for each source selection and UP/DOWN/ RIGHT/LEFT control when you press the MENU button. 7. How to select the HDMI & AUDIO Input source: To enable the SWITCH option on a specific HDMI and Audio output, perform the following steps: 1. Press HDMI 1 THRU 4 buttons. The screen will return to HDMI switch status. 2. On the Audio source row press AUDIO 1 THRU 4, AUXILIARY AUDIO 1 THRU 2 or the MICROPHONE button row (the button will illuminate momentarily). The new configuration will take effect. Press either function keys HDMI or AUDIO source to cancel the operation. Example: Select SW function: 1. Press HD1, HD2, HD3 or HD4 buttons to select the video HDMI source on the source row (the button will illuminate). 2. Press AUD1, AUD2, AUD3, AUD4, AUX1, AUX2 or MIC buttons for select the AUDIO source on the Audio source row. Select only (1) VIDEO source and (1) AUDIO source output while using switch function. 5

Press the UP / DOWN buttons to select 1.EDID mode (the button will illuminate) or press the MENU button to cancel the operation. Presets are stored in local EDID using the MENU button. Configure desired matrices. 1. Press the MENU button. The LCM display will display on current status. 2. Press the UP / DOWN (1 or 2) buttons, to select 3.LRN-M2 mode (the button will illuminate) or press MENU to cancel the operation. Presets are stored in the local LRN-M2, by pressing the MENU button. ADJUSTING LIST: 1. EDID 2. Projector 3. LRN-M2 (Second Learning mode) 4. RESET 3. Press the LEFT / RIGHT (3 or 4) buttons, to cycle thru LRN-M2 to turn ON or OFF or press MENU to cancel the operation. 4. Press ENTER. The new configuration will be stored. Operation completes. NOTE: When the Source has Learned the EDID data from a destination, it will save that EDID information into EPROM and the EDID data will not change. To change a saved HDMI EDID, you have to select a new LEARNING destination to source or Disable the LEARNING. 8

11 FRONT PANEL - MENU (RESET) / LOCK FRONT PANEL-FUNCTION KEY - MENU/LOCK 11. FUNCTION KEY - MENU (SETUP RESET): MENU mode to adjust the EDID, Projector, Learning M2 modes & Reset status. Configure desired matrices. 1. Press the MENU button. The LCM display will display on current status. 2. Press the UP / DOWN buttons, to select 4.RESET mode (the button will illuminate) or press MENU to cancel the operation. Presets are stored in the local RESET, by pressing the MENU button. ADJUSTING LIST: 1. EDID 2. Projector 3. LRN-M2 (Second Learning mode) 4. RESET 3. Press ENTER. The new configuration will be stored. The LCM display will show the SYSTEM RESET status. Press MENU to cancel the operation. Operation completes. 12. FUNCTION KEY - LOCK: 1. Press Lock Key to turn On or Off the connected projector. 2. The operation will take effect after the set up of the RS-232 protocol for turning On or Off the projector. 9

12 REAR PANEL - CONTROLS REAR PANEL 1. DC POWER INLET: The switcher is fitted with a DC power plug input connector. Ensure that it is of an approved type and is of sufficient current carrying connector capacity with the correct voltage and connector polarity. 100~240Volt AC, 50/60Hz power supply. POWER SOCKET: Connector Type: IEC C13 2. IR EXTENDER CONTROL: Supports one IR Extender. Extends a maximum distance of up to ~984 feet/300m. When you plug the external IR extender into the switcher, the front panel IR receiver remains active. IR EXTENDER JACK: Female Jack - inner OD Ø 3.5mm 3. PROJECTOR RS-232 CONNECTION: The projector s RS-232 control port allows for interfacing to a PC, such as a computer or touch panel control, to the switcher via the DB-9pin female connector for serial RS-232 control. REMOTE PORT: DB-9pin female connector 4. ETHERNET CONNECTION: ETHERNET control port allows for TCP/IP interfacing to a PC, such as a computer or touch panel control (not a web-browser), to the switcher via the RJ-45 female connector to control switcher. REMOTE PORT: Control the switcher RJ-45 female connector ETHERNET PORT: Note: The Ethernet port and RS-232 port cannot be used simultaneously. Any connection to the Ethernet port will disable serial commands sent to the RS-232 port. 5. SWITCH RS-232 CONNECTION: The switcher s RS-232 control port allows for interfacing to a PC, such as a computer or touch panel control, to the switcher via the DB-9pin female connector for serial RS-232 control. 13 REAR PANEL - I/O DEFINITIONS REAR PANEL 6. (2) AUX INPUTS (Auxiliary Audio): Connects a Stereo/Auxiliary AUDIO signal direct to the 3.5mm OD female jack. This jack supports Auxiliary/Analog/Stereo Audio sources. Audio: The auxiliary audio (Analog Stereo Audio). AUX CONNECTOR: OD Ø 3.5mm phone jack female socket connector Note: With the proper adapters, the switcher can be used with Auxiliary Audio input signals. 7. (4) AUDIO INPUTS (Stereo Audio): Connects a Stereo Audio input signal to the connector. Audio via (1) female RCA connector 8. AUDIO OUTPUT (Stereo Audio): Connects a Stereo Audio output signal to the connector. Audio via (1) female RCA connector 9. (4) HDMI INPUTS: Connects a HDMI signal to the HDMI female connector, which supports HDMI digital video and audio to a HDMI display. 14 REMOTE CONTROL Before making any connections to the switcher, observe the following: Ensure the main voltage supply matches the label on the supplied plug-pack (+/-10%). Ensure that the power switch is OFF. Ensure that all system grounds (earth) are connected to a common point. Avoid powering equipment within a system from multiple power sources that may be separated by large distances. Connect all audio video sources and destination equipment. Power up all source and destination audio-visual sources. To yield video/audio to an output, select the input source by using the front panel input buttons, the supplied IR remote control, or through the RS-232 serial communication port. Upon power up the switcher will return to its last used setting before being powered down. REMOTE CONTROL IR REMOTE CONTROL KEY: 1. /2. POWER ON AND OFF: Turns on or off the scaler 3./4./5./6.
