2 Sustainable production is a significant contributor to energy and resource efficiency and it has taken on an important role in the social discourse. The high level of value creation in worldwide industrial production requires the secured availability and an optimal use of raw materials and energy resources. Research and industrial developments are key driving forces in this aim. A conference during the large international production engineering trade fair EMO 2011 presents an excellent platform to discuss the latest discoveries and development results in this field. Total payment (cash or credit card) is due immediately upon registration in the conference office.
