We deliver a full range of services from consultancy, design and engineering to manufacture, installation and onsite project management. We are a principal railway infrastructure provider with over 20 years of engineering design experience. Being at the forefront of rail engineering in the UK, we have an influential role in the design and operation of the UK rail network. Our projects include major national flagship projects such as Kings Cross Station Redevelopment, East of Leeds Trans-Pennine Route Improvement, Oxford Corridor Capacity Improvements and Great Western Route Modernisation. We employ more than 400 highly experienced designers, engineers, architects, planners and project managers. Our clients are among the key UK providers in the rail sector, including Network Rail and Transport for London. Our discipline capabilities include: What we do The efficient delivery of large rail infrastructure designs is key to meeting the ever-increasing demand of rail passengers and UK business. Major rail schemes are highly complex, affect large numbers of stakeholders and require safety driven designs, implemented in safety critical environments. 4 Our Projects TSP PROJECTS R E A D I N G S TAT I O N A R E A R E D E V E L O P M E N T P R O J E C T As lead designer, TSP Projects worked in partnership with Network Rail to transform Reading Station into a modern world class facility. The station now has fifteen platforms which are fed by a re-engineered track layout which has significantly reduced delays, increased capacity and has removed Reading as the major bottleneck on the network. All the station construction works have been undertaken with the station still operational which has led to innovative engineering solutions. HAS WORKED ON A NUMBER OF MAJOR FLAGSHIP PROJECTS IN THE RAIL SECTOR. T R A N S P E N N I N E E L E C T R I F I C AT I O N C H A N G E TO TRANS PENNINE ROUTE IMPROVEMENT TSP Projects have developed this scheme from an electrification concept through to a route improvement strategy. We led the programme development to deliver electrification, capacity improvements, journey time improvements to support the stakeholders aspirations including DfT s and TOC s. Having developed concept solutions we were retained by the client to deliver the multidisciplinary design for the East of Leeds Upgrade section of the route. P E T E R B O R O U G H S TAT I O N Peterborough Station currently serves 4 million passengers a year. Network Rail have invested 43 million in capacity improvements to the station s track and platform layout, including a new island platform, longer and wider platforms, access improvements, and a goods loop with connections to all main lines. TSP Projects has successfully delivered the GRIP 2-4 multidiscipline designs for this project. Building on this successful design delivery, we were appointed designer for the framework contractor, Carillion, to complete the GRIP 5 to 8 works. K I N G S C R O S S S TAT I O N REDEVELOPMENT Network Rail have undertaken a 550 million redevelopment of King s Cross Station, used by 47 million passengers a year, to double its capacity. OXFO RD CO RRI D O R CAPACIT Y I M PROVE M E NT TSP Projects is developing the area around Oxford to accommodate several ongoing major rail improvement programmes. These include the new East West Rail service, the electrification of the Great Western line, safety and signalling improvements, the development of Oxford Station and capacity improvements. We are delivering a full BIM level 2 compliant solution and we facilitated challenging consultations with residents groups and local authorities, proactively engaging with a variety of partners and third parties, including the Department for Transport, First Great Western and prospective contractors, at many organisational levels. 6 As lead designer on this project, we delivered a full design solution from concept through to detailed design and supported constriction works on site for all works in the main train shed. This included the refurbishment of the grade 1 listed main train shed roof and providing a new glazing system complete with solar panels. Design of a new glazed footbridge with lifts and escalators, refurbishment and resurfacing of all platforms, creation of larger southern concourse and the design of a new platform in the old taxi rank under the Eastern Range Building with associated sidings. 7
