4 Services International Voice Hubbing Service Protel provides International Voice Hubbing services to major Carriers, fixed line and mobile operators across the globe. Protel entertains all types of traffic for both origination and termination worldwide. We have established strong commitments and direct bilateral connections with major Tier-1 Carriers & Operators. Currently, we have over 150 bilateral direct links with various carriers worldwide. To meet different carrier needs, Protel offers a choice of three different types of International Voice Hubbing service: Premium, Retail and Wholesale. 1- Premium service: Optimal voice termination through direct routes with CLI & roaming guaranteed in addition to FAX, DTMF and other main features. 2- Retail service: A to Z competitive rates with sophisticated routing mechanism to assure best quality that satisfies the end user. 3- Wholesale service: Inbound traffic is directed through the path that provides the highest savings using our smart least cost routing. To deliver a reliable and stable voice hubbing service, important KPIs such as average call duration (ACD), Answer Seizure Ratio (ASR) & Network Efficiency Ratio (NER) are constantly being monitored 24/7 by our NOC department. 5 Protel s NGN Architecture Protel s high quality international wholesale voice services are built on a TELES C4 Softswitch Cluster, a carrier-grade high-availability platform that provides any-to-any interworking between all major VoIP and PSTN signaling protocols. Protel offers retail telephony applications using the DIGITALK solution, a platform that supports pre- and post-paid consumer communications, from residential IP telephony to international calling cards. In order to enhance the routing capability of our softswitch and to enable Least Cost Routing (LCR), Quality of Service Routing (QoSR) and other traffic handling features, Protel has deployed T.One application, a fully automated multi LCR and intelligent routing technology provided by Vanrise solutions. 06

6 Co-locations & Pops Protel s Headquarters and Operations are located in Beirut, Lebanon. Protel s softswitches are located in Telehouse Europe in London where majority of the International wholesale carriers and operators have established Point of Presence. In order to strengthen its presence, Protel has established connectivity with virtual meet-me-room services (vmmr) of the international hub operators Epsilon and Equinix. This enables Protel to interconnect with all major telecom operators and wholesale carriers worldwide. 7 Customer Support Protel s network is monitored 24x7 by full time multilingual dedicated personnel in our Network Operations Center, to maintain high quality service and continuity on daily basis. We provide real-time monitoring of traffic key performance indicators, as well as other quality metrics and immediate response to service outages. Our billing and management software system T.One provides a good benchmark in order to offer a high quality standard service and resilience. 08
