1 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HITACHI INTERACTIVE SOLUTIONS STAND NUMBER G30 OLYMPIA LONDON JANUARY 2012 Hitachi will introduce the latest innovations in interactive & digital solutions for education at BETT 2012 London, January Two Hitachi Group companies, Hitachi Solutions Europe, Ltd. and Hitachi Digital Media Group, announced their attendance at the BETT 2012, the largest European trade show for educational technologies, which will be held in London, Olympia from 11 th to 14 th of January Both group companies will display their latest innovative solutions which includes interactive whiteboards and interactive 3LCD projectors for Education. Among the new products to be discovered at the show Hitachi Solutions will introduce its new concept of modular interactive whiteboard - the StarBoard Link EZ. This is a unit type Interactive whiteboard system, which transforms any flat surface into a fully functioning interactive whiteboard. The system consists of digitizer and reflective bars, which can be easily attached to a wall or an existing dry-erase board. Once attached, it is connected to computer and projector. Following a quick set up routine it is ready to use. The StarBoard Link EZ is based on finger-driven technology, which means that all operations can be performed by the touch of a finger. The size of the interactive area is easily adjustable to any surface or room size from 45 inches for limited surfaces, to 90 inches for rooms where a bigger size of projection and work-space is required. The main advantage of StarBoard Link EZ is its affordability. The system can be used with any existing whiteboard and projector. As all commands can be given by the touch of a finger, this eases any concerns about electronic pens which can be easily lost or broken in a school environment you can always write with a finger or any other object. The compact packing size of StarBoard Link significantly reduces the cost of transportation and maintenance. Like all other products in the Hitachi StarBoard range, the Link EZ system will be delivered as standard with the StarBoard Software. The latest 9.3 version of software presents a dynamic set of teaching tools designed for the needs of education. The StarBoard software is compatible with all operating systems and integrates rich editing tools, numerous learning resources as well as a conferencing feature for linking several remote IWBs into collaborative workspace. The demonstrations of StarBoard software interactive features for education are planned and will take place every day of show.

2 Hitachi Digital Media will showcase ipj-aw250nm Ultimate Interactive projector which is the latest edition to the growing family of Ultimate projectors. The innovative ipj- AW250NM integrates well established Hitachi StarBoard Software that, when used with an interactive pen delivers a complete interactive experience on any flat surface. With a rich feature set that meets the specific interactive needs of education users, the compact ipj- AW250NM, like the other models in the Ultimate range, is easy to install, easy on the environment and designed to deliver outstanding performance in any setting. The renowned StarBoard Software supplied with the ipj-aw250nm provides a wealth of content for both educators and students.
