4 Stakeholder consultation process and online consultation platform 1 Introduction This report present the preliminary plan for consultation (section 2) that was presented in January 2015 and the online tool used for the WP2 consultation, in the first 6months of the project (section 3). 2 Stakeholders engagement and consultation Plan In the early stages of the project (January 2015, Month 3), the consortium had developed a clear consultation plan for the duration of the project, indicating the type of consultation that will be carried out, with an indicative timing, supported by preliminary dates for the organization of event. In addition, the plan describes the different level of involvement from the various types of stakeholders (affiliated partners, supporting partners, etc.) in each of the consultation steps. The stakeholders engagement and consultation plan was developed with the aim to increase visibility on the project scope and duration and to support the recruitment of affiliated and supporting partners that are needed for the success of the project. Roles and expected input from the various stakeholders The stakeholders engagement and consultation plan has been disseminated in bilateral exchanges with industry and key stakeholders and was presented at the Launch conference in April. 3 Online consultation platform The project success t is highly dependent on the input from the various stakeholders, from industry to NGO, from academia and policy makers, including experts on Guarantees of Origin system in other sectors. However, the amount of input needed from each of them and the best format to be used will vary widely. Each of the consultations will use a different format: - WP1 consultation: communication and bilateral phone calls. This was sufficient to identify all the key resources and literature available to develop a comprehensive market outlook for green hydrogen. - WP2 consultation: this consultation has been divided in several steps, each of them using a different communication platform. Online survey system, workshops discussions, direct input into draft documents (via ), open text questionnaires (in word format). 5

6 Stakeholder consultation process and online consultation platform - WP3 consultation: An exchange of phone calls and s is sufficient to cover the main aspects. - Etc. A specialized online consultation platform has been chosen to support the work of the consultation on the definition of green hydrogen (WP2). The tool, Surveymonkey ( allows to easily gather input in multi-option questions and helps with the analysis of the results. The tool was used in the first step of the consultation. Some examples on the functionalities of the tool are displayed below: 6

8 Stakeholder consultation process and online consultation platform For the last phase of the consultation, given the reduced number of opened questions and the need for elaborate responses, Hinicio opted to gather the input in simple word documents. The consultation documents were available through the certifhy website ( ). See below a snapshot of the article announcing the consultation. 8
