2 Intrductin Intrductin Cisc Tetratin Analytics is designed t address number f critical datacenter peratinal use cases using big-data technlgies and algrithimic appraches. In the current release f the prduct, it prvides the fllwing functinality: Pervasive visibility f traffic acrss the datacenter infrastructure and lng term data retentin fr frensics and analysis Understands cmmunicatin and dependencies fr applicatins within the datacenter infrastructure Prvides a whitelist plicy mdel and identifies behavir deviatin in real time Supprt fr plicy simulatin and impact analysis This platfrm is designed t cllect this rich telemetry at line rate at datacenter scale. The algrithmic apprach includes unsupervised machine-learning techniques and behaviral analysis, t prvide a turn-key slutin. This slutin is designed t: Prcess millins f flws per secnd, apply intelligent algrithms and prvide actinable insights in minutes Capture and stre hundreds f billins f telemetry recrds withut aggregatin t enable lng term frensics Prvide cmplete visibility int applicatin cmpnents, its cmmunicatins and dependencies t enable implementatin f a zer-trust mdel within the netwrk T supprt the analysis and supprt varius use cases within the Cisc Tetratin Analytics platfrm, cnsistent telemetry is required frm acrss the datacenter infrastructure. Rich Cisc Tetratin Analytics telemetry is cllected using sensrs. There are tw types f sensrs in the this release, hardware and sftware (hst) sensrs. With these tw types f sensrs, this slutin is designed t supprt bth existing (brwnfield) and new (greenfield) data center infrastructures. Sftware, r hst sensrs, can be installed n any end hst (virtualized r bare metal) servers. Knwn Behavirs This sectin describes knwn behavirs: Knwn Behavirs in the Release Under sme circumstances, certain queries using NOT peratrs return incrrect results fr the last rw f every data segment. This is due t an ff-by-ne errr inside its cmpressed bitmap representatin. Fr example, a query like A AND (NOT A) returns a result when the last flw in a minute matches A when it shuld nt return anything. 4
