An MDM system is a system that provides clean, consistent master data to enterpriser. Different data values exist across the applications for same entity. With many such applications, pairwise synchronization can be complex and fragile. MDM will extend the functionality by providing consistent and authorized source of business core information. Efficiently manage relationship between domains (Customer to Multiple Addresses, Customer to Product and Customer to Location etc.). Categorization, grouping and hierarchical management of master data entities. Easy to configure and administer reference master data. Data Quality Configurable and easy to implement simple and complex data validations. Ability to integrate with data quality tools like IBM quality stage, trillium. Real time support for standardization of data (Person and organization names, Addresses, Phone numbers, Identification numbers). Duplicate Record Processing Powerful data de-duplication algorithm to remove duplicate records (Or identity duplicate records). Ability to easily configure critical data elements required for matching according to organizations requirements.

4 How does MDM works? MDM User Interface: MDM System will have proper user interface to view customer and its attribute along with features like filtering, grouping, searching, sorting. All data will be from MDM warehouse. It will be synchronized and corrected data at any moment. MDM API: This API will be called from any source system to push changes of Customer attributes or new customer into MDM transaction table. MDM Engine: 4
