4 Registration data This Data Privacy Statement applies to the use of our Internet Route Planning Service ("Service"). You can access the Data Privacy Statement applicable to our website at This Data Privacy Statement takes priority when you register as a User of our Route Planning Service. 1 Registration data You must set up a user account to use our services. We use the data you provide at registration to create this account. The registration data contains certain company-related and personal data provided by you. You can change this login data in the Customer Centre. We would like to point out specifically that we will only use your personal data if and insofar as required for the use of the service or if you have agreed for your data to be used for additional purposes. 2 Use of the Service Every time the user logs in, we save the login data and time of login. In addition, the IP address of the User is stored at each login. Storage of the IP address is for the sole purpose of resolving and preventing technical problems and misuse of the Service (see Point 6). When the User saves information within the service (e.g. addresses for route planning, lists of stop-off points, settings, collectively the "User's usage data"), PTV saves this data together with the User's login data. You may independently edit and delete this data. Editing or use of the usage data only takes place in accordance with the Terms of Use and to the extent to which this is necessary to provide the agreed service. Please be aware that we shall also collect and store certain enquiries sent to the Service in order to analyse general user behaviour and adapt the Service to users needs. The data utilised for this purpose is rendered completely anonymous prior to use. A consolidation of this data with the User's or third party's personal data does not take place. During the licence test phase, we collect and store usage behaviour to provide Users with targeted support and enable us to respond to enquiries relating to test licenses. A statistical value is created for use in relation to enquiries and product improvement as well as internal use. 5 Data security Our website contains a live chat function through which we maintain contact with visitors to our website and answer questions. We use the technology of Intercom Inc., 98 Battery Street, Suite 402, San Francisco, CA 94111, USA, for this purpose. During the chat, we can see the location, operating system, browser and website visited and use this information with the help of Intercom. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions in this respect. 5 Data processing by third parties In order to save and process your data, we also use the storage systems of external service providers. In addition, your data is also processed by us, our affiliated companies and cooperation partners within the scope of other services and applications. In such cases, we guarantee the security of your data by concluding data processing contracts with the respective service provider in compliance with the strict legal data protection requirements. Please ensure that your approval, and the approval of your employees or other persons, of the Data Privacy Statement also includes third-party data processing, as described above. 6 Deleting data IP addresses saved during registration are automatically deleted within a week after the login. We also delete all of your data within eight weeks after terminating the licence agreement. Please be aware that we block data which we are obliged to store due to statutory retention periods (e.g. invoicing and contractual data). 7 The User's right to information Should you, or your employees or other affected parties, wish to do so, an affected party may request information on their personal data stored by us at any time in accordance with legal requirements.
