10 TSM Preparation Create PDTX node Note: By default, PDTX archives logs to TSM. This should be a separate pool. Warning! PDTX comes with TSM client If your source servers are at a higher level, you must upgrade PDTX TSM client to match the source servers. When you completed all migrations, revert PDTX TSM client to

11 Source System Preparation Upgrade to Use TSM for database backups Point source TSM to PDTX node Grant dbadm, secadm, dataaccess, accessctrl to the PDTX instance owner.

12 PDTX Database Preparation Create a shell db on the PDTX instance. Settings should match the source DB (page size, etc) Create the default database user. Get the shell db s id. You ll need this later.

13 PDTX Database Preparation Disable OPM data collection to enable offline backup and restore

15 Migration Process Source : Point source instance TSM to the PDTX TSM node. Offline backup of the source database to TSM Un-catalog Source Database If there are other dbs on the server Reset the TSM node to the original value.

16 Migration Process Target: PDTX Most work done on the PDTX command line db2set DB2_RESTORE_GRANT_ADMIN_AUTHORITIES=ON Will give the PDTX instance owner Admin rights to the migrated database. This is a Registry variable. Requires Instance Stop/Start.
