chapter 1 New Features for Enterprise CRM 2.9 Before You Upgrade Database Diagrams and Changes New Configuration Tasks and Code Tables Security Administration Batch Communications Constituents Data Mart and OLAP Direct Marketing Events Fundraising General Ledger Setup Prospects Query Revenue Sponsorship Web Before you upgrade and begin to use Blackbaud Enterprise CRM 2.9, take a moment to review the following information that highlights new features and changes to existing features. It is important to share this information with Enterprise CRM users in your organization.

2 C HAPTER 1 Before You Upgrade Previously, all tables in the database had auditing enabled by default. With version 2.9, audit tables that are not explicitly enabled will be disabled by default after you upgrade. Prior to the 2.9 upgrade, you should determine which tables you want to audit and explicitly enable auditing for those tables. Tables that do not having auditing explicitly enabled will have auditing disabled by default after the upgrade. For more information, see Audit Tables on page 4. Multicurrency was new in version 2.8. When you upgrade from a version prior to 2.8 and your organization receives revenue in more than one currency, you can use the Multicurrency feature to manage and report on this revenue. Although you can run version 2.9 as a single currency or a multiple currency system, you may want to decide if the Multicurrency feature will benefit your organization before you upgrade. Once you enable Multicurrency, you cannot return to a single currency database. Also, certain parts in NetCommunity are not currently available for use if Multicurrency has been enabled and configured in Enterprise CRM. These parts include: Scrolling Donor Display, Fundraiser, Fundraiser Dashboard, Fundraiser Page Element, and Fundraiser Report. The Transaction Manager part is now supported in version 2.9. Warning: Before you enable and configure Multicurrency, you should remove any of the currently unsupported parts from your NetCommunity website. The Transaction Manager part is now supported in version 2.9. For information about Multicurrency, see the Multicurrency Guide. When you upgrade from a version prior to Enterprise CRM 2.5, your upgrade includes new GL mapping functionality. For information, see the General Ledger Setup chapter of the Administration Guide. If you would like to continue to use the old Map Revenue to GL functionality while you plan your implementation of the new mapping functionality, contact Support at BEsupport@blackbaud.com. Database Diagrams and Changes With each release, we capture information about database changes since the previous version of the program. With the Blackbaud Infinity SDK, you can access this data about any new, modified, and removed tables, views, procedures, functions, fields, indexes, triggers, and parameters. Note: To install the Blackbaud Infinity SDK, go to the Downloads page on the Blackbaud website at For more information, see the Blackbaud Infinity SDK Installation Guide. In the folder where you install the SDK, the \SDK\Documentation folder includes.chm files that describe the database schema. Open the BlackbaudEnterpriseCRM.chm file and, click View the list of changes at the bottom of the main Database Reference page. We also generate entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) for the database as PDF files. To access these diagrams, open the BlackbaudEnterpriseCRM.chm file, select a table, and click Entity Relationship diagram at the bottom of the page. The Documentation folder also includes previous versions of the BlackbaudEnterpriseCRM.chm file. You can view previous *.chm files for version to version changes.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM New Configuration Tasks and Code Tables To enable some features in the program, you must complete configuration tasks. These tasks appear under Configuration on pages throughout the program. In addition, some system wide configuration tasks and features appear in Administration. If a new feature includes a code table, you may want to determine the values to use with the code table. This release includes the new configuration tasks and code tables below. Note: We recommend that you review the entire new feature documentation to determine how new features affect your organization. New Configuration Tasks This section provides a list of new configuration tasks added for this release. To help you locate each new task, we provide the area of the application where each task is located. Administration Unmapped Transaction Setting on page 15 Individual Display Name on page 6 New Code Tables This section provides a list of new code tables added for this release. To help you locate each new table, we provide the area of the application where table entries can be added. Administration Additional Fields for Sites on page 6 Constituents Education History on page 10 Prospects Planned Gift Designations on page 16 Opportunities and Designations on page 15 Stewardship Plan Type and Subtype on page 17 Enhanced Configuration Tasks This section provides a list of configuration tasks and features that have been enhanced for this release. We recommend that you review the changes and evaluate how they affect your organization. The changes may require updates to your configuration.to help you locate each enhanced task, we provide the area of the application where each is located.

4 C HAPTER 1 Administration Audit Tables on page 4 Constituents Relationships on page 11 Security Existing application users and system roles upgrade unchanged to version 2.9; however, with each version, you should review the new features and any security related information to determine if you need to make changes or additions to your existing security setup. Note: For more information about security features and changes, see the Security Guide. Audit Tables There are more than 2500 tables in the Enterprise CRM database and most of the tables, and their audit data, are not of general interest. In addition, as audit tables grow, their size can impact performance of the system. Previously, all tables in the database had auditing enabled by default. With this version, audit tables that are not explicitly enabled will be disabled by default after you upgrade. Any tables with auditing explicitly disabled prior to the upgrade will still have auditing disabled after the upgrade. Prior to the 2.9 upgrade, you should determine which tables you want to audit and explicitly enable auditing for those tables. Tables that do not having auditing explicitly enabled will have auditing disabled by default after the upgrade. However, you can still manually enable auditing for tables after the upgrade. We recommend you disable auditing for any table unless there is a specific business reason for your organization to have auditing enabled for a table. Explicitly enable auditing for tables before you upgrade 1. Determine which tables you want to audit. 2. From Administration, click Audit tables. The Audit Tables page appears. 3. Select the table you want to explicitly enable auditing for and click Disable auditing. 4. Select the same table and click Enable auditing. Auditing for the table is now explicitly enabled. Note: You can also contact Support at BEsupport@blackbaud.com. If you submit a list of tables you want to audit, a Support analyst will provide you with a script to run against your database to explicitly enable auditing for those tables before you upgrade. 5. When you upgrade to version 2.9, the tables you explicitly enabled auditing for whether manually or with the script will remain enabled.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM There is also a Enable or disable audit tables global change process you can use after you upgrade to help enable or disable auditing for multiple tables at one time. For more information, see Global Change: Enable or Disable Audit Tables on page 5. Note: There are several History views, such as the Constituent History and Revenue History pages, which display audit data from several tables. Auditing for those tables is not disabled during the upgrade, even if you do not explicitly enable auditing for those tables. For more information, see Audit Data for History Views on page 5. Audit Data for History Views There are several History views, such as the Constituent History and Revenue History pages, which display audit data from several tables. The tables used by these page will not have auditing disabled during the upgrade, even if you did not explicitly enable auditing for those tables. However, if you previously explicitly disabled auditing for any of the tables, the upgrade will keep auditing disabled for those tables. For a list of tables, download this spreadsheet from the Blackbaud website. Global Change: Enable or Disable Audit Tables When audit tables are enabled, the system tracks information about every change or deletion of data in that table. Over time, you may decide to enable additional tables or disable audit tables you don t need. You can do this manually or you can use the Enable or disable audit tables global change process. The global change process is based on a selection of audit tables that you create in Query. This gives you the flexibility to build your selection and then re use it if necessary. Cancel on Login Screen After a user s session becomes inactive, the user is prompted to log back in to reactivate the session. Previously, this login screen had no Cancel button, so the user had to log back in. Now, if the user leaves or if the workstation is shared, you can click Cancel on the login screen to end the session. Any unsaved changes will not be saved. For example, if a user has an Add or Edit form open and the session is ended, those changes will not be saved. Any business process the user started, such as an export, will continue to run on the server. The user can log back into the program and return to the business process to view the status or history. Additional Site Security We added site security to the following areas: acknowledgement letters and tributes. Sites on Acknowledgement Letters Revenue and tribute acknowledgement letters can be associated with one or more sites, in order to allow users from different sites to create and use them. Sites on Tributes Tributes can be associated with one or more sites, in order to help organizations manage a large volume of tributes. When you associate a site with a tribute, the association is used for filtering purposes only and does not limit user access to tributes based on security.

6 C HAPTER 1 Additional Fields for Sites To further identify a site, we added several new fields for sites. When you add a site, you can now specify a site type, short name, site ID, and acronym. From the Sites page, you can view detailed information about each site you add to your database. When you select a site, a Site details section now appears at the bottom of the page and includes information, such as site name, short name, site ID, acronym, site type, and description. Site type is a code table configured in Administration. Administration The following Administration enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Administration Guide. Catalog Browser To enhance performance and save disk space, we made a change in 2.9 with the Catalog Browser and how we package catalog items. With this version, most catalog items have been removed from the Catalog Browser and are instead loaded automatically using revisions during the upgrade. Reports are still included in the Catalog Browser, in case you need to reload them to a new report server. Global Change We added the following new global change definitions: Set Recognition Credit Type: This definition allows you to change the recognition type assigned a selected group of records. You can change to either match the system default recognition or to a specific recognition you select.this global change definition does not insert new recognition credits or delete existing recognition credits. It only updates existing credits. In addition, only Revenue recognition credit query types can be used in this global change. Enable or disable audit tables: When audit tables are enabled, the system tracks information about every change, addition, or deletion of data in that table. Over time, you may decide to enable additional tables or disable audit tables you don t need. You can do this manually or you can use the Enable or disable audit tables global change process. The global change process is based on a selection of audit tables that you create in Query. This gives you the flexibility to build your selection and then re use it if necessary. Individual Display Name In Administration, under Configuration, with Individual display name you can now configure how individual constituent names format throughout the system. When you configure the name format for individual constituents, you set the display name for all your system users. The default individual display name is first name, middle initial, last name. You can select to change the individual display name to any of the existing name formats for individuals. From the Individual Display Name page, under Configuration, click Name format options to set up the individual name formats. When you set up the individual display name, it appears only internally in your system for identification purposes. You can still use your preferences in Marketing and Communications to set up how you prefer to communicate with constituents.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM Academic Catalog When you set up the academic catalog for an affiliated school, for colleges you can now add divisions and for departments you can now add sub departments. When you set up the catalog you do not have to use divisions and sub departments. For example, after you set up the college, you can add a department or a division next. Batch The following Batch enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Batch and Import Guide. Enhanced Revenue Batch In an enhanced revenue batch, you can now edit existing pledge commitments on the Apply to commitment screen. To edit an existing pledge, select it in the grid and click Edit on the action bar. Once you save the pledge, your changes are immediately applied to the pledge record in the database. When you generate payments or credit cards and choose to create an enhanced revenue batch or revenue update batch, the Appeal ID from a pledge or recurring gift is applied to the payment record after you commit the batch. The Appeal ID is automatically applied for single application payments only.

8 C HAPTER 1 Revenue Update Batch In the Revenue Update Batch template, you can now select whether or not to automatically update tributes if transaction amounts are edited or adjusted. This means that if a payment or pledge transaction amount is changed, regardless of whether it is posted or not posted, the tribute amount associated with the transaction will update proportionately. For example, if a pledge of $100 that has an associated tribute of $30 is changed to $70, then the tribute will update to $21. Batch Usability Enhancements To support data entry for credit card transactions processed externally, we updated batch entry for credit card fields. Now when you enter credit card numbers with four digits or fewer, other credit card information is not required. Field requirements and validation for credit card numbers with greater than four digits were not changed for this update. Other forms with credit card fields were not changed for this update. Communications The following Communications enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Communications Guide.

Sites on Acknowledgement Letters NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM Revenue and tribute acknowledgement letters can be associated with one or more sites, in order to allow users from different sites to create and use them. Letter Templates You can now create constituent letter templates based on constituent export definitions. On the Add letter template screen, in the new Output type field, select Export definition to use a user defined set of export fields. Only export definitions with Allow definition to be used by other areas of the application selected on the Options tab of the Export Definition Properties screen can be used for constituent letters. For information about export definitions, see Export Definitions on page 12. Constituents The following Constituents enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Constituents Guide. Revenue and Recognition Page The Revenue summary and Recognition summary tabs on a constituent Revenue and Recognition page now display a split view, showing the individual s data on the left and the household s data on the right. This configuration appears only if the individual constituent is also a member of a household. Recognition Credit for Recognition Programs When a constituent qualifies for a recognition program, you can view the recognition program from the Recognition Programs tab of the Revenue and Recognition page for the constituent. From the constituent, click Revenue and recognition under More information. From the Recognition Programs tab, you can select a program and click Go to recognition. On the recognition page, you can go to the Recognition Credit History tab to view the recognition credits associated with gifts that qualify for the recognition program. The Recognition Credit History tab now includes the designation information for the qualifying revenue. Start and End Dates You can now track start and end dates for addresses. When you add an address, you can enter a start date. When you edit an address, you can include the end date. The address is automatically considered a former address. In order to view the address on the Contact tab of the constituent record, you must select the Show former contact information filter. Remove Members from Groups and Committees Previously, when you deleted a group member from a group or committee, you were prompted to keep or discard the member s history with the group or committee. Now group or committee members have end dates.

10 C HAPTER 1 If you want to remove a member from a group or committee and preserve the member s history with the group, go to the Members tab of the group or committee, select the member and click Edit. You can enter an end date for the member. The member is no longer active with the group or committee, but the member s history of activity with the group is preserved. If you want to remove a member from a group or committee and delete the member s history, such as if you added the member by mistake, you can select the member and click Delete. This removes the member from the group or committee and deletes any history for the member with the group. Address Attributes and the Address Page If attributes are enabled for addresses, you can select an address on the Contact tab and click Go to address to view the Address page. With attributes, you can track additional information about each address, such as the number of returned mail pieces sent to each address. Note: Your organization sets up address attributes in Administration. For information about how to create and manage attribute categories, see the Administration Guide. When you access the Address page, you can view the basic address information on the Address tab. Additional information, including address validation information, is available on the Details tab. You can also manage address attributes on the Attributes tab. In order to edit the address from the Address page, click Edit address under Tasks. You can also return to the Contact tab for the constituent, select the address, and click Edit. Tributes and Sites Tributes can be associated with one or more sites, in order to help organizations manage a large volume of tributes. When you associate a site with a tribute, the association is used for filtering purposes only and does not limit user access to tributes based on security. Education History When you add an education history for a constituent, under Additional Information, we added two new columns. For a constituent s program, if needed, you can enter the division and sub department. For un affiliated schools, the Educational Division and Educational Sub Department code tables for the Division and Sub department fields on the Education tab of a constituent record can be configured in Administration. For affiliated schools, you set up the division and sub department in the academic catalog. For more information about the academic catalog, see Academic Catalog on page 7. Educational Involvements We made the following enhancements to education involvements: We added the Position field to both the Add and Edit educational involvement screens. Use this field to enter the position held for an educational involvement. You can now view the position in the Involvement section on the Education tab of a constituent record. We added the Position field to both Constituent batch and Education history update batch. We added the Position field to Query and Import.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM We added Division and Sub department fields to the Add and Edit education involvement screens. Recognition Programs We made the following enhancements to constituent recognition programs: You can now track a constituent's wish to decline a recognition level within a recognition program. On the Add a constituent recognition screen, we added the Declined recognition program levels grid where you can select levels to decline within a recognition program. You can view declined levels associated with a recognition program in the summary information for the recognition program. You can edit declined recognition levels from the Recognition History tab. You can also include declined levels in Query searches. Relationships We made the following enhancements to relationships: On the Constituents page, under Configuration, we renamed the Relationship types task to Relationship settings. We also renamed the Relationship Types page to Relationship Settings. On the Relationship Settings page, we added the new Corporate relationships tab. From this tab, click Edit to access the Configure corporate relationships screen. From this screen, you can specify parent, intermediate, and subsidiary organization relationships. You can also automatically set end dates for organizations when the relationship is no longer valid. From this tab, you also specify corporate peer and employee relationship information (this was previously done directly from the Relationship Types page). From an organization constituent record, you can now view top parent information in the summary area. On the Add a relationship screen for an organization constituent, Organization is the parent organization checkboxes appear for you to specify either the organization or the relationship as the parent. We removed the Parent org field on the Organization tab of an organization constituent record as well as the Edit organization details screen. You now work with parent organization information primarily through an organization's Relationships tab. Write a Letter You can now write a constituent letter based on a constituent export definition. For more information, see Letter Templates on page 9. Data Mart and OLAP The following enhancements to the standard data mart are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Data Mart and OLAP Guide.

12 C HAPTER 1 Recurring Gifts The standard data mart and OLAP cube now include information about recurring gifts. You can include these transactions in revenue reports, and you can create reports specifically for these transactions. Direct Marketing The following enhancements to export definitions are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about this feature, see the Marketing Efforts Guide. Export Definitions Marketing export definitions now support the export of one to many fields in addition to one to one export fields. A one to one export field contains one value in your database. For example, Last name is a one to one export field because a segment member can have only one last name. A one to many export field contains several values in your database. For example, Interests is a one to many export field because constituents can have multiple interests assigned to their record. When you select a one to many field on the New Export Definition screen, the Criteria screen appears. From this screen, you can select the number to export and define how the export sorts and filters the fields. Events The following Events enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Events Guide. Event Coordinators You can have more than one event coordinator on the Tasks/Coordinators tab of an event. Now you can mark one coordinator as the primary coordinator for the event. The primary coordinator is the one displayed in the event summary. If you change the primary coordinator, the corresponding information in the event summary also changes. Fundraising The following Fundraising enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Fundraising Guide. Naming Opportunities and Constituents Previously, once you created a naming opportunity, the only way to associate a constituent with it was to add the revenue. Now you can associate a constituent with the naming opportunity from the Recognition History tab of the naming opportunity.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM On the Recognition History tab of the naming opportunity, click Add. You can link the opportunity to existing revenue (if the revenue was entered previously without the naming opportunity information) or to a constituent. If you add the constituent to the naming opportunity recognition, you can later associate the revenue with the naming opportunity, as well. The naming opportunity recognition information is displayed on the constituent s Named Recognition History tab on the Revenue and Recognition page. From there, you can go to the recognition and view the associated revenue or you can go to the naming opportunity. Designation Search On the Designation Search screen, you can use the following fields to narrow your search: Use code, Purpose type, Purpose category, and Purpose site. You can also use additional criteria such as Report code and Revenue designation to further define your search. To add these additional search fields to the Designation Search screen, from Administration, click Search list configuration. On the Search list configuration page, click Configure search list fields. The Search List Fields page appears where you can edit the search criteria for the Designation Search screen. Designation Web Settings When potential donors search your website for causes to support, the search results provide a short description of each designation that meets their criteria. On the new Web tab, you can assign a URL to the designation so the search results include a link to detailed information about the designation. You can also assign a thumbnail image that appears with the designation s description in the search results. General Ledger Setup The following General Ledger mapping enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Administration Guide. Edit Account Segment Mapping We added the Edit all button on the Map Segment page for an account segment. From the action bar, click Edit all to access the Edit Account Segment Mapping screen. From here, you can edit segment values for multiple account segments at the same time. Accounts We added the Account alias field to the Add an account screen. In the Account alias field, enter an alias to associate the account number in the system with the account number in your third party general ledger system. If you choose to use an account alias, the system uses the account alias in place of the account number in the following areas: pre post reports, post reports, exception reports, and post files for download. The account alias is used in these areas to ensure accuracy when you import data into your third party general ledger system. To access the Add an account screen, from the General ledger system setup page in Administration, click Define GL Accounts.

14 C HAPTER 1 Account Segments We made several enhancements to the Add an account segment screen: On the Add an account segment screen, we added <No separator> as an option in the Separator field. Use this separator if your third party general ledger system does not include a separator in the account number. You can also use this separator when an account segment is calculated by two different options in the Calculated by field. On the Add an account segment screen, we added Constant Value as a selection in the Calculated using field. You may want to use this for any account segment that always needs to return the same value for all general ledger accounts. Once you add an account segment based on Constant Value, you must map the segment to the value you wish to use. From the Edit mapping screen, specify a value in the Segment value field. Your selection here is used in GL distributions when the transaction mapping is defined to use an account code. You can now create more than one account segment using the same selection in the Calculate using field. For example, on the Add an account segment screen, you select Designation in the Calculated using field and save the account segment. You can then create a second account segment and select to calculate the segment using Designation. This is useful if your account segments are hierarchical and must use the same selection in the Calculated using field. Edit Account Segments You can now edit the value in the Calculated using field. The new value you select is applied to future transaction calculations. Existing transactions are not affected. Define Fiscal Years We added a Define Fiscal Years link to the General ledger setup page. Before you add transactions, you must first establish fiscal years. When you click Define Fiscal Years, the Fiscal Years page appears. You can also access this page by clicking Fiscal years from Administration. Journal Codes We added the new Journal code link on the Post Revenue to GL page. Your organization may need to use a specific journal code in export files, pre post reports, and post reports. From the Post Revenue to GL page, click Journal code under Configuration in the explorer bar. The Edit journal code screen appears where you can enter a journal code. Post File Formats We added two additional post file formats: Sage Peachtree post format: This format is typically imported into Sage Peachtree. Intuit QuickBooks (IIF) post format: This format is typically imported into Intuit QuickBooks.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM Unmapped Transaction Setting On the General ledger setup page for an account system, we added the Unmapped transaction setting task under Configuration. Click this link to access the Edit setting for unmapped transactions screen. From this screen, select whether or not you want to allow revenue transactions to be created without a transaction mapping. When you select Do not allow revenue transactions to be created unless a transaction mapping exists for the transaction GL distribution, revenue transactions cannot be saved and posted unless a valid transaction mapping exists. To map transactions, click Define Transaction Mappings on the General ledger setup page. When you select Allow revenue transactions to be created without a transaction mapping by building the GL distribution with the GL account, the Account field is enabled. Click the search button at the end of the field to access the Account Search screen. The account you select is used as a temporary account for the missing transaction mapping. The account you select here is only temporary. To successfully save and post revenue transactions, valid transaction mappings must exist within all applicable offices. If these do not exist, an error is generated in the exception report for the post process. You may also receive an error during the post process due to unmapped segments or missing GL accounts. Prospects The following Prospects enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9 For more information about these features, see the Prospects Guide. Prospect Records The Planned Gift History page now includes the payments associated with revenue for a planned gift. Request Major Giving Plans On the Plans tab of a prospect, you can request a major giving plan for a prospect. When you make a request, a plan is not created. Instead, you request a plan for the prospect manager to approve or reject. On the Prospect Requests tab of a fundraiser page, the prospect manager can approve, review, or reject requested major giving plans. In the requests Pending approval grid, you can review who requested the plan, when they requested it, and the request type. Opportunities and Designations Previously, you could mark opportunities as Accepted only if you had designation information for the opportunity. Now you can mark opportunities as Accepted without designation information. This gives you greater flexibility as donors may not always know where to direct their funds at the time of the agreement. The Accepted amount for an opportunity is now based on the Accepted amount field on the opportunity, not the sum of the designation amounts on the opportunity.

16 C HAPTER 1 When you add an opportunity you can now select how the prospect will fund the gift such as a pledge or planned gift bequest in the Funding Method column. The funding method you select does not impact the ability to add revenue of any type for the opportunity. You can also define how you will use the revenue from the prospect opportunity in the Category, Type, and Use code columns. The Opportunity Designation Funding method code table for the Funding Method column and the Opportunity Designation Type code table for the Type column on the Opportunities tab of a major giving plan can be configured in Administration. Planned Gift Designations When you add a planned gift, you can now enter more details about the designations to which to apply the planned gift. On the Planned Gift Details tab, you can now enter details in the Category, Type, and Use code columns. You can also leave the Designation column empty if you haven t set up a designation for the planned gift yet. You can still add the planned gift as revenue and select the designation then. The Opportunity Designation Type code table for the planned gift designation Type column can be configured in Administration. This designation type can also be used on other major giving plan opportunities. For each designation you set up, you can also see the gift s current value in the Net present value column. Based on the Net present value field, the amount divides based on how you distributed the planned gift in the Amount column. Planned Gift Status The status of the planned gift is now displayed in the summary view of the planned gift. Previously you had to edit the planned gift to view the status. Planned Gift Notifications On the Planned Gift Documentation tab for a planned gift, you can now add notifications for notes. You can manage notifications for planned gift notes, as well other notes such as notes for events and constituents, in Administration. Planned Giving Relationships On the Planned Giving Relationships tab, you track any prospect relationships relevant to the planned gift, such as an attorney or family member. From this tab, you can access the relationship s constituent record and edit the relationship entry. On the constituent record, when you click Revenue under More information, there is a Planned Gifts tab. The planned gift will now appear for any constituents listed as planned giving relationships, as well as the prospect. Prospect Plan Participants On the Solicitors and Participants tab of a prospect plan, you track any additional constituents who might be involved in the prospect plan, such a key influencers, attorneys, or other family members. When a constituent is listed as a participant for a prospect plan, that plan is displayed on the Plans tab for the participant. For example, if Robert Hernandez is a key influencer for Mark Adamson s prospect plan, you can go to the Plans tab of Robert s prospect record and see Mark s plan, in addition to any of Robert s own plans.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM Prospect Plan Start Dates When you add prospect plans, you can now specify a plan start date. The program tracks the date the plan was added, in addition to the start date. You can view the start date and the date added on the Plans tab of the prospect record. When you no longer need a prospect plan, you can mark it as historical. Fundraiser Opportunities From the Opportunities and Asks tab of a fundraiser, you can track the number of fundraising opportunities for to the fundraiser, along with a breakdown of actual asks and the statuses of each, such as accepted and rejected. In the Completed section, you can now view the dollar amount and number of Canceled asks, in addition to Accepted, Rejected, and Total asks. Stewardship Plan Steps Stewardship plan steps can have a status of Canceled or Declined in addition to statuses of Pending and Complete. This allows you to more accurately track the different steps of your stewardship plans. In addition, stewardship plan steps with a contact method are now displayed on the constituent Interactions page. From the constituent, click Interactions under More information. This gives you a more holistic view of all the interactions, including stewardship related interactions, you have with constituents. Also, you can now associate stewardship steps with any prospect plans for the prospect, not just plans with accepted opportunities. This allows you to plan stewardship activities before an opportunity is accepted, which gives you greater flexibility to steward your would be donors. Stewardship Plan Type and Subtype We added two new fields to the Add a stewardship plan screen. You can now use the Plan type and Plan subtype fields to further define your stewardship plan. They also appear on the Stewardship plans page for a constituent and are available in Query. These fields are code tables, which you can configure in Administration. Prospect Plan Steps and Opportunities You cannot make a plan historical if steps associated with the plan have a status of planned or pending. Steps must either be completed, canceled, or declined. Similarly, you cannot make a plan historical if any opportunities associated with the plan have a status of qualified, unqualified, or response pending. Opportunities must either be accepted, canceled, or rejected. Manage Prospects and Plans In Bulk On the Prospects page, we changed the Manage prospect plans in bulk link to Manage prospects and plans in bulk.

18 C HAPTER 1 On the Manage prospects and plans in bulk page, we added the new Prospect Assignment Process tab. Use this tab to create a business process to assign or reassign a large number of prospect plan steps and interactions to fundraisers in your database. You can add, edit, delete, go to, and start a process directly from the new tab. Manage Planned Gifts We added the Major Giving Management Planned Gifts page in Prospects. From this page, you can view all planned gifts and planned gift additions with adjusted revenue. For example, when the revenue amount, date, or designation is adjusted, the associated planned gift appears in the grid. From the grid, you can then update related planned gift information, such as planned gift amount, realized amount, net present value recognition amount and associated date fields. The Planned gifts with adjusted revenue grid displays information associated with the planned gifts, such as prospect manager, primary and secondary managers, constituent, planned giving date, planned giving amount, and the type of transaction and revenue. From the Planned Gifts page you can access the planned gift record or associated revenue record, mark the planned gift complete, and set up RSS feeds to notify users that planned gift records have been edited or need further review. Query The following Query enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Query and Export Guide.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM Smart Query Permissions You can now set permissions for smart queries in addition to ad hoc queries. When you first save or configure the properties of a smart query, the Allow other users to modify this query checkbox now appears. To allow all other users to access and manage the query, select this checkbox. To allow only users in specific system roles to access the query, click the new Advanced permissions button. From the Assign query permissions screen, you can grant and deny access by system role as necessary.

20 C HAPTER 1 When you assign permissions to a query folder, the Allow other users to modify this query checkbox and Advanced permissions button also appear so you can configure default permissions for smart queries added to the folder. The program automatically applies the selected query permissions to any new smart queries added to the folder. To also apply the permissions to queries that already exist in the folder, select Apply default query permissions to existing queries. Warning: When you select Apply default query permissions to existing queries, the query permissions set apply as defaults and override the permissions configured for the queries currently within the selected folder. From an individual query, you can edit the permissions as necessary. Sites For every query that currently includes the ability to query by site, we added a Site table that appears in Field Explorer. On a New Ad hoc Query screen, when you select the Site in the Field Explorer, the Acronym, Short name, Site ID, Site path, and Type fields are available. We added these fields to both the Add a site screen and the new Site Search screen. From within the Site table, when you select to use the Site record field as a filter, two new query operators and a checkbox are available: When you select Under as the query operator in the Site/Site record field, results include all child sites of the parent site. When you select the new Include current hierarchy node checkbox, the parent site is also included in your results. Click the binoculars in the Value field to access the Site Search screen.

NEW FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE CRM When you select Not under as the query operator in the Site/Site record field, results include all other sites in the site hierarchy except the selected parent's child sites. When you select the new Include current hierarchy node checkbox, the parent site is also included in your results but the parent's child sites are still excluded. Click the binoculars in the Value field to access the Site Search screen. Revenue The following Revenue enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Revenue Guide. Matching Gift Claims When you change the constituent associated with a revenue transaction, you can now update the matching gift claims so they are assigned to the new constituent. Post File Formats We added two additional post file formats: Sage Peachtree post format: This format is typically imported into Sage Peachtree. Intuit QuickBooks (IIF) post format: This format is typically imported into Intuit QuickBooks. Sponsorship The following areas in Sponsorship were changed. For more information about these features, see the Sponsorship Guide. Additional New Feature Included in Patch This patch release includes the new Add recurring additional gift option on the sponsorship record. If a sponsor wants to include a recurring gift to your organization in addition to sponsoring an opportunity, you can now easily record this additional gift. Note the following: If the sponsorship associated with the additional recurring gift is transferred the additional recurring gift links to the new sponsorship If the sponsorship associated with the additional recurring gift is reassigned, the additional recurring gift links to the new commitment/sponsorship If the additional recurring gift is deleted, the link to the sponsorship record is removed If the sponsorship is deleted and no payments exist against the additional recurring gift, the gift is also deleted. If payments do exist against the additional recurring gift, an error message appears, explaining the payments must be deleted before you can delete the sponsorship. If the sponsorship is canceled or terminated the additional recurring gift associated with the sponsorship is marked "Terminated."

22 C HAPTER 1 Web The following Web enhancements are available in Enterprise CRM 2.9. For more information about these features, see the Blackbaud NetCommunity Integration Guide. NetCommunity and Multicurrency The program provides additional functionality and enhancements so you can work with multiple currencies on your website. To ensure the program and your website work together in a multicurrency environment, you must address additional considerations. Certain parts on the website are not available for use after you enable and configure Multicurrency in Enterprise CRM. These include the Scrolling Donor Display, Fundraiser, Fundraiser Dashboard, Fundraiser Page Element, and Fundraiser Report parts. The Transaction Manager part is now supported with Multicurrency in version 2.9. For more information, see the Multicurrency Guide. Warning: Before you enable and configure Multicurrency, you should remove any unsupported parts from your website. NetCommunity Batch Tabs When you download multiple addresses in a NetCommunity transaction batch, the Addresses tab appears. On this tab, you can view and change address information. This includes the ability to view and change primary address information and address types. Note: These tabs appear when a user submits data from the Profile Update Form. In Blackbaud NetCommunity, you create this in Forms. The Profile Form part does not capture additional information. Therefore, profile transactions from that part cannot generate these tabs. When you download multiple s, the addresses tab appears. On this tab, you can view and change information. This includes the ability to view and change primary information and types. When you download multiple phones, the Phone numbers tab appears. On this tab, you can view and change phone information. This includes the ability to view and change primary phone information and phone types.
