3 1 INTRODUCTION This document is intended to provide a review of the current concept and breakdown of all related fees attached to Service New Brunswick s existing Registry and Mapping Services. Concepts of the Charging Models: Service New Brunswick creates external client accounts and sets Charging Model and Billing Code requested. The Charging Model and Billing Code for each user is defaulted from the client account for each user created by SNB or External Client Administrators under their client. Alternative Charging Model and Billing Codes may be assigned to the individual Users at the request of the Client. Once the charge model and billing code are set for a client or user, they become read-only and ONLY Service New Brunswick will be able to change it. Users wishing to change their charging model and Billing codes will have to contact Service New Brunswick 30 days in advance. Real Property Information Charging Models: The Fee Structure is currently broken down into the following 2 Charging Models: 1. Transactional The Transactional-Based Fee Structure is $1 for all queries on textual information on a parcel, and property maps. The Transactional-Based Fee Structure has a minimum billing of $10 / month for ALL ACTIVE accounts

4 2. Subscription The Subscription charging Model is a Flat Fee structure with NO LIMIT on the number of transactions for monthly subscribers. The following are the 4 subscription rates available: General Browser Use Only (no access to Advanced Browser!) $60 / month for licensed government agencies and private users who have purchased Parcel Attribute and Property Map datasets, and subscribe to periodic updates. $125 / month for non government agencies and private users Advanced Browser (General Browser included!) $75 / month for licensed government agencies and private users who have purchased Parcel Attribute and Property Map datasets, and subscribe to periodic updates. $150 / month for non government agencies and private users Additional Fees (Not included in above): It should be noted that the following activities have per request (transaction) fees for both charging models. Registration Index - Grantor/Grantee Searching - $17.50 per half day (7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; and 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight, 7 days a week (except for statutory holidays)) Requesting an official CRO report via the Click Here to Request CRO link - $35.00 per CRO Requesting an official PID Description report via the Click here to request an Official Report link - $5 per PID Report Land Gazette reports vary. All prices indicated on request screens Requesting a Hardcopy of a plan image via the Electronic Plan View / Download screen - $5 per page and $3 for Shipping Requesting a of a document or plan image via the Electronic Plan or Document View / Download screen - $2 per (whole document or plan)

The remaining sections of this document provide a further breakdown of all the Transactional Fees and/or Additional Fees associated with each of the modules. Note that only those modules that have transactional and/or additional fees are discussed below

6 2 REAL PROPERTY INFORMATION 2.1 GENERAL BROWSER ASSESSMENT DATA There is no transaction fee associated with entry to the Assessment Data search screen. Each query by PAN, Assessed Owner, and/or Taxing Authority is logged as a transaction and has a $1 per transaction fee associated to it. Also note that: Any search using the same criteria will cause another $1.00 charge for the search, Any invalid search or No Records Returned will not cause a charge. Clicking the PAN hyperlink on the Query Results screen is logged as a transaction and has a $1 per transaction fee associated to it, unless you have viewed the corresponding PAN Information previously within the current day. If you have already viewed the PAN Information within the current day, no additional transaction charges are applied (One charge per day per unique PAN Information) Every pdf report of the PAN Information requested via the PAN Report button is logged as a transaction and has a $1 Charge for every pdf file requested. Clicking the PID hyperlink(s) on the PAN Information screen is not logged as a billable transaction and no fees are applied. Note that if the PAN Information screen was entered via the Assessment Reference section of the Parcel Information screen, there may be transaction charges that apply to clicking the PAN Information s PID hyperlink(s). Please refer to the Pan Information section of this document for further details

7 2.1.2 PARCEL ATTRIBUTE DATABASE Search by PID/PAN, Name/Location, Document, or PLAN The PID/PAN, Name/Location, Document, or PLAN searches all share a common transaction fees model. The Search by PID/PAN is used here to identify where the transaction fees occur. There is no transaction fee associated with entry to the Search by PID/PAN (or Name/Location, Document, or PLAN) screen. Each query by PID or PAN is logged as a transaction and has a $1 per transaction fee associated to it. Also note that: Any search using the same criteria will cause another $1.00 charge for the search, Any invalid search or No Records Returned will not cause a charge. Clicking the Name (or Other) hyperlink on the Query Results screen is logged as a transaction and has a $1 per transaction fee associated to it, unless you have viewed the corresponding Parcel Information previously within the current day. If you have already viewed the Parcel Information within the current day, no additional transaction charges are applied (One charge per day per unique Parcel Information) Every pdf report of the Parcel Information requested via the PID Report button is logged as a transaction and has a $1 Charge for every pdf file requested. Clicking the PAN hyperlink(s) found within the Assessment Reference section on the Parcel Information screen is not logged as a billable transaction and no fees are applied. Note that if the Parcel Information screen was entered via the PAN Information screen s PID and/or PID (2nd) hyperlinks, there may be transaction charges that apply to clicking the Parcel Information s PAN hyperlink(s) (within the Assessment Reference section). Please refer to the Parcel Information section of this document for further details

8 Other Transactions & Associated Fees(s): View Map Viewing of a property map via the VIEW MAP button is logged as a transaction and has a $1 transaction fee associated to it. View Parcel Description No transactional fee is associated with clicking the View Parcel Description button. (Additional reference to underlying screens can be reviewed in the PID Databank section of this document.) PID Report Land Gazette Every pdf report of the Parcel Information requested via the PID REPORT button is logged as a transaction and has a $1 transaction fee for every pdf file requested (multiple requests for the same Parcel Information within the same day results in multiple transactions and charges). No transactional fee is associated with clicking the Land Gazette button. (Additional reference to underlying screens can be reviewed in the Land Gazette section of this document.) 14 2.2 ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT & PLAN VIEW /DOWNLOAD ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT VIEW / DOWNLOAD There is no transaction or fee associated with entry and viewing of the Image and Document Information displayed within the Electronic Document View / Download screen. The following Delivery Methods however have the following transactions and corresponding fees assigned which apply to both Charge Models: Every document request is logged as a transaction and has a $2 transaction fee for each requested (even for the same document within the same day). View/Download No transactional fee is associated to the View / Download of the Electronic Document

15 2.2.2 ELECTRONIC PLAN VIEW / DOWNLOAD There is no transaction or fee associated with entry and viewing of the Image and Plan Information displayed within the Electronic Plan View / Download screen. The following Delivery Methods however have the following transactions and corresponding fees assigned which apply to both Charge Models: Hard Copy Every Hard Copy request made for a plan is logged as a transaction and has the following fees applied: $5 per page requested (some plans as multi-page) $3 Shipping Charge per Hard Copy request Every plan request is logged as a transaction and has a $2 transaction fee for each requested (even for the same plan within the same day). View/Download No transactional fee is associated to the View / Download of the Electronic Plan

Maps Output Type of PDF Selection of Size and/or Scale, then requesting a Print Map, will produce a PDF plot at a $1 charge per request. Output Type of HTML Selection of Size and/or Scale, then requesting a Print Map, will produce an HTML print free of charge

22 3 LAND GAZETTE There is no transaction fee associated with entry to the Land Gazette menu screen or queries initiated via the Search Land Gazette by PID screen. There is no transaction fee associated with clicking on any of the Notices, References, or Land Gazette hyperlinks The pdf report of the PAN Information requested via the PDF Report button has no transaction fee associated to it. Accessing the Land Gazette Information screen via the Land Gazette button on the Parcel Information screen has no transaction fee associated to it. The Application for Additional Notice Information identifies the costs associated with requesting an official Data Set report right beside the Data Set check box. Total cost of a request submission is the sum of all the costs associated with selected Data Sets (check boxes)

23 4 REGISTRATION INDEX The following charges apply within the Registration Index: Half day search fee of $ :00 a.m. until 12:00 noon is equal to first 1/2 day 12:00 noon until 12:00 midnight is equal to the second 1/2 day The Registration Index is available from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight, 7 days a week (except for statutory holidays)

24 5 PID DATABANK There are no transaction fees for clicking either the Search PID Databank or PID DATABANK APPLICATION hyperlinks. There are no underlying transaction fees for any of the sub screens and operations found under the PID Databank Application hyperlink. There are no transaction fees for clicking either the Search By PID or Search Application in Process hyperlinks. There are no underlying transaction fees for any of the sub screens and operations found under the Search Application in Process hyperlink.
