7 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 7 1 Introduction 1.1 Purpose This document is a guide to install and implement Manufacturing Process Intelligence along with its underlying module Reporting Analytics Platform. It also specifies prerequisites and provides configuration details. This is the basis for the implementation of Intelligence Packs. If you want to upgrade from an earlier version of MPI, please refer to the DELMIA Apriso Upgrade Guide. 1.2 Glossary MPI Manufacturing Process Intelligence module providing flexible, efficient visualization and contextualization of manufacturing processes. RAP Reporting Analytics Platform module of MPI providing data warehousing highly integrated with DELMIA Apriso in order to collect and aggregate manufacturing data from across the enterprise. RAP DI RAP Data Integrator is an element of RAP, used to author ETL packages, configure and deploy data integration between Source and Destination Databases. ETL Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) is a process in database usage, and especially in data warehousing, that involves: extracting data from outside sources, transforming it to fit operational needs, loading it into the end target (database or data warehouse). Source Database transactional database used by DELMIA Apriso system. Other names are transactional database, production database. It is source database in the scenario of data transfer to DELMIA Apriso Data Warehouse. Destination Database DELMIA Apriso Data Warehouse part of RAP module designed to store large volumes of long-term data used for reporting and intelligence. 1.3 User Skills The user should have knowledge of the following areas when dealing with Manufacturing Process Intelligence: SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, DELMIA Apriso Administration, DELMIA Apriso database structure, Database: SQL Server, Oracle (optionally), Windows Administration.

For strategies of minimizing installation downtime in the process, please refer to section Step Description Action Description Restore RAP Repository Restore Data Warehouse Populate DIM_DATE Configure DIM_SHIFT Restore RAP database on RAP development server. Use the deploy function in RAP Data Integrator for the master packages ONLY within imported packages. Make sure that ETL_CUBE_PARTITION_CONFIG URATION is set properly, using proper Analysis Services DB name. Deploy intelligence pack SSRS reports on Reporting Services server. Deploy GPM package containing the latest release of BPFs to DELMIA Apriso server. Configure initial SQL job in SQL Server Agent. Run initial master package Run initial master package to preconfigure Data Warehouse. Configure incremental SQL job Run incremental ETL Enable incremental ETL Configure and enable a job to clear ETL Logs Configure incremental SQL job in SQL Server Agent to run on schedule. Run incremental SQL job once to test the execution. Enable the SQL job in order to start automatic processing. Configure a SQL job in SQL Server Agent to run on schedule, as needed. Additionally, it is recommended to increase the size of Unrestricted Growth. Use RAP Data Integrator to deploy packages. See RAP Data Integrator Online Help for details. See for details. Execute master initial package for MSSQL or Oracle. See for details. Submit the job configured in SQL Server Agent. Go to SQL server Agent and enable the incremental job. Use ETL_DeleteLogs procedure available on Data Warehouse. 1.7 Security Requirements Package Deployment (SSIS Connection of System Configuration) The user must have granted sysadmin or ssis_admin roles on the SSISDB database to deploy packages.

12 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide SQL Agent Jobs Can be created by sysadmin or user with one of the following roles: SQLAgentUserRole, SQLAgentReaderRole, SQLAgentOperatorRole. For differences between users and consequences, please refer to the following MSDN article: Creating SQL Jobs SQL jobs must be created by users with permissions sufficient to execute queries: When a job is not created by sysadmin, then T-SQL is always (even when there is a proxy assigned) executed by job owner (creator of the job), If the owner of the job is a member of the sysadmin fixed server role, it runs under the SQL Server Agent service account, DailyUpdateDIM_DATEJob.sql script creates a category and a T-SQL job that executes ETL_Populate_Dim_Date procedure. Category may be created only by sysadmin, so job owner will be also sysadmin and the job will be executed under SQL Agent service permissions. Therefore, this account must have sysadmin permissions on msdb in order to execute ETL_Populate_Dim_Date. Configuring Steps to Run SSIS Packages SSIS steps in SQL Job must be executed by users with permissions sufficient to execute packages successfully. When creating a SQL Job and steps that run SSIS packages, access to the packages can be under different account than when the job is running and executing packages. However, when Windows Authentication method is used for this, then they may overlap. Package Access in SQL Job While creating a step in SQL Job or while running the job, access to the packages is granted under the following rules: If Windows Authentication method is used to access package source, the proxy account that runs the jobs must have access rights to read SSIS package from package source. The user that is creating the job also must have such access. If SQL Authentication method is used to access package source, then the current account must have access rights to read packages, independent from the user on which the package is executed.

13 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 13 Permissions to access packages stored on msdb (package source is SQL Server) are determined when deploying packages (depending on which user has created them and with which permissions: db_ssisadmin, db_ssisoperator, or db_ssisltduser). When using File System to store packages (package source is File System), then the user needs permissions to read from physical location. When packages are stored on SSIS server (package source is SSIS Package Store), then user needs permissions to access SSIS to get package. Package Execution in SQL Job When running SQL Job the packages are executed with different credentials based on the way the job was created: If jobs are created by sysadmin, then packages will be executed on the service account on which SQL Server Agent is running; the permissions will be used anywhere in package where Windows Authentication is used in System Configuration. If jobs are not created by sysadmin, they must be created by users with SQL Server Agent roles, and jobs must use proxy accounts with permissions sufficient to execute packages; the permissions will be used anywhere in package where Windows Authentication is used in System Configuration. Proxy accounts use only Windows Authentication and are created and configured by sysadmin. The process of defining proxy is as follows: create credential, create proxy account with new credential and specify principals, i.e. logins that will be able to use this proxy (sysadmin has automatic access).

15 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 15 2 MPI Server 2.1 Prerequisites DELMIA Apriso DELMIA Apriso has to be installed from DELMIA Apriso DVD before the installation of the MPI server. For instructions, refer to DELMIA Apriso Installation Guide Operating Systems The MPI module can be used on all operating systems supported by DELMIA Apriso. Refer to DELMIA Apriso Installation Guide for full list of supported operating systems Hardware Requirements Please contact your local Dassault Systèmes representative for hardware recommendation Software Requirements Data Warehouse DELMIA Apriso Data Warehouse can be one of the following: SQL Server 2014 SP1 Environments Component Operating System DBMS SQL Server 2012 SP2 Environments Component Operating System DBMS Supported Version Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 (only 64-bit) Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Enterprise SP1 (only 64-bit) Microsoft SQL Server 2014 BI SP1 (only 64-bit) Supported Version Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 (only 64-bit) Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Enterprise SP2 (only 64-bit) Microsoft SQL Server 2012 BI SP2 (only 64-bit) Installation of the latest Cumulative Update for SQL Server 2012 SP2 is recommended. Microsoft SQL Server Components When using MS SQL Server 2012 SP2, then the following components (see Figure 2) are required.

17 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 17 Additionally, if SQL Server 2014 SP1 is used, the MPI module requires installation of the Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools Business Intelligence projects. Go to the Tools section of the SQL Server Installation Center and download the Data Tools using the link indicated in Figure 4. Figure 4 SQL Server 2014 Data Tools Download Link Analysis Services is required for DELMIA Apriso MPI module, whereas Integration Services is required for DELMIA Apriso RAP module. Installing Reporting Services is not required for Manufacturing Process Intelligence to work correctly; however, it is recommended to users that want to further expand the functionality. RAP DI Prerequisites Components required by Reporting Analytics Platform Data Integrator to support generation and deployment of ETL packages. Please refer to chapter for details on RAP Data Integrator installation procedure on the MPI server. Oracle Installation Please refer to chapter 12.2 for details on Oracle installation.

18 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide Installation DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration Page All the resources required to install and configure Enterprise level Manufacturing Process Intelligence applications for DELMIA Apriso are available from the DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration page. Figure 5 DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration page To access the page: 1 Load name>/apriso/start. The DELMIA Apriso Start page is displayed. 2 Switch to the Server Configuration view using the wrench icon in the top right-hand corner. Figure 6 Switching to the Server Configuration view To access the DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration page from the server where DELMIA Apriso is installed, you can also use the DELMIA Apriso 2017 Start link on the desktop.

19 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide Configuring SSISDB Catalog In order to deploy packages and system configurations to the SQL server, it is necessary to create and configure an SSISDB Integration Services Catalog. To create the SSISDB catalog, follow the procedure below: 1 Start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and log in to your SQL server (Database Engine). 2 In the Object Explorer, navigate to Integration Services Catalogs and select Create Catalog from the right-click menu. Figure 7 Creating Integration Services Catalog 3 In the Create Catalog window, ensure that the catalog name is SSISDB and provide a password to be used for data encryption. Click OK to create the catalog. Please note that by creating the SSISDB catalog, you are also creating a database called SSISDB on your SSIS server. 4 Navigate to the newly created SSISDB catalog, and select Create Folder from the rightclick menu. Choose a name for the folder (recommended name is RAPDI) and click OK. The newly created folder in the SSISDB catalog will be used for deploying system configurations and ETL packages using RAP Data Integrator. We highly recommend to set the Recovery Model to Simple in the SSISDB database properties, in order to avoid accelerated database growth. The following settings of the SSISDB catalog properties are optional, but are recommended to ensure best performance: Server-wide Default Logging Level: Performance Retention Period (days): 7 30 (Recommended) Maximum Number of Versions per Project: 1 3 (Recommended)

20 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 20 Please refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article, to learn more about possible performance issues that may occur when using SQL 2012 server: Data Warehouse This procedure of restoring DELMIA Apriso Data Warehouse is used for preparing database environment for Reporting Analytics Platform and Manufacturing Process Intelligence components. Data Warehouse should be restored on server machines only, and never on a client. Data Warehouse Creation To create the Data Warehouse, log in as Administrator, and follow the procedure below: The procedure below is based on SQL Server 2014 SP1. Details may vary for SQL Server 2012 SP2. 1 Go to DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration Page Set Up DELMIA Apriso Enterprise Level Applications Install MPI Server. 2 In the Databases (Backup Files) section, click the Data Warehouse Database link to download the backup of the Data Warehouse that needs to be restored on the MPI server. Figure 8 Downloading Data Warehouse database backup 3 Start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and connect to the proper database server. 4 Browse the database server. 5 Right-click Databases and select Restore Database. The Restore Database window opens.

The Select backup devices window opens. 7 Click Add to choose the backup file. Figure 10 Restore Database Procedure 8 Select the downloaded backup file. 9 Click OK on the Locate Backup File window and on the Select backup devices window to confirm selection. Do NOT close the Restore Database window.

22 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide Back in the Restore Database window, in the Destination section, type the target name of the database (recommended: APRDW ). 11 On the Backup sets to restore list, check the added database backup (select the Restore check box). 12 Click OK to start the data import. When the import is finished, a message is displayed in a separate window. The database creation is finished. It is recommended to always use the default collation on Data Warehouse, that is: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. Database Users Creation To create database users: 1 Go to DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration Page Set Up DELMIA Apriso Enterprise Level Applications Install MPI Server. 2 In the Data Warehouse Database Users (Script Generator) section, generate scripts for creating the required users, granting them the appropriate rights, and mapping the server logins in the DW database.

23 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 23 Figure 11 Database User Creation If the Data Warehouse is restored on the same server as DELMIA Apriso database, then some of the steps may have already been performed. In such case, some of the scripts may fail to execute, as they have already been executed after restoring DELMIA Apriso database. This is expected behavior. Data Warehouse Database Upgrade (Service Pack) When a Service Pack for DELMIA Apriso is released with fixes for DELMIA Apriso MPI, it is necessary to run the Data Warehouse upgrader script.

24 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 24 To perform the upgrade: 1 Go to DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration Page Set Up DELMIA Apriso Enterprise Level Applications Install MPI Server. 2 In the Data Warehouse Database Upgrade (Script) section, click the link to download the Data Warehouse upgrade script. Figure 12 Link for downloading the Data Warehouse upgrade script 3 Start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and connect to the proper database server. 4 Run the downloaded script on the Data Warehouse database RAP Central Repository This procedure of restoring database used as RAP Central Repository prepares the environment for storing Reporting Analytics Platform entities in a server location. To create RAP Central Repository, log in as Administrator, and follow the procedure below: 1 Go to DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration Page Set Up DELMIA Apriso Enterprise Level Applications Install MPI Server. 2 In the Databases (Backup Files) section, click the RAP Central Repository Database link to download the backup of the RAP Central Repository that needs to be restored on the MPI server. Usually the path does not exist on the server where the application is installed. Type manually the correct physical path and file name. Any file name can be used, but the folder MUST exist (it will NOT be created!). 15 Click OK to start the data import. When the import is finished, a message is displayed in a separate window. The database creation is finished. RAP Central Repository does not require a separate user creation procedure like Data Warehouse, and may use any type of security settings RAP Data Integrator Setup RAP Data Integrator (RAP DI) is a part of Manufacturing Process Intelligence, used to author ETL packages, configure and deploy data integration between Source and Destination Databases. ETL packages created by RAP DI are compliant with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services and can be deployed and executed on this platform. Basic RAP DI functionality is provided with the automated installer that uses ClickOnce technology. For full functionality, including generation and deployment of ETL packages, RAP DI Prerequisites package must also be installed, along with Microsoft SQL Server components listed in Software Requirements. To install Reporting Analytics Platform Data Integrator and required prerequisites on a server machine, please log in as Administrator, and follow the procedure below: 1 Go to DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration Page Set Up DELMIA Apriso Enterprise Level Applications Install MPI Server page. 2 In the Reporting Analytics Platform Data Integrator (Setup Packages) section, click DELMIA Apriso MPI RAP DI Prerequisites to download the standalone installer with components enabling full functionality of RAP DI. However, for the sake of convenience, it is better to install RAP DI Prerequisites first, to avoid restarting RAP Data Integrator application. 6 In the Reporting Analytics Platform Data Integrator (Setup Packages) section, click DELMIA Apriso MPI Reporting Analytics Platform Data Integrator (ClickOnce), to initiate RAP Data Integrator installation. A standard security warning screen will be displayed as shown below.

To change the default language, it is necessary to delete all rows from DIM_DATE and populate it again. Follow the steps below: 1 Go to DELMIA Apriso Server Configuration Page Set Up DELMIA Apriso Enterprise Level Applications Set Up MPI Server. 2 In the first part of the Populate Dates on Data Warehouse (Script Generator) section, generate the script for setting initial dates. Please refer to DELMIA Apriso Installation Guide for full list of supported operating systems Database In order to use MPI with Intelligence Packs, the source database (DELMIA Apriso database) must be one of the following types: MS SQL Server 2012 SP2 MS SQL Server 2014 SP1 Oracle 12c R1. For more details, refer to the Software Requirements for the Database Server section of the DELMIA Apriso Installation Guide. Additionally, the following source database types are supported by RAP Data Integrator, when used for custom purposes: MS SQL Server 2005 MS SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 (supports Change Tracking) MS SQL Server 2012 SP2 (supports Change Tracking) MS SQL Server 2014 SP1 (supports Change Tracking) Oracle 11g R2 Oracle 12c R1 (supports Change Data Capture) Change Tracking and Change Data Capture In order to track incremental data changes on standard Intelligence Pack configuration, it is necessary to enable tracking mechanism on the source database. It is assumed that MS SQL Server used as a source database uses Change Tracking (CT) mechanism; whereas, Oracle source database uses Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanism. For details on how to enable these mechanisms on respective databases, please refer to (SQL) and (Oracle) sections.

Due to the limited amount of RAM that can be addressed in 32-bit operating systems, it is not recommended to use 32-bit RAP Data Integrator Client for deploying or generating ETL packages Software Requirements Microsoft SQL Server Components SQL Server 2014 (Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1) tools listed below (see Figure 34) are required to use the Manufacturing Process Intelligence module to the full extent.

DELMIA Apriso Configuration Manager allows indicating what the purpose of a particular environment is: Development, Test, Production. If environment type is labeled as Production or is not set (Unknown), then the user will be prompted for confirmation when performing modifications using Manufacturing Process Intelligence tools. OLAP Cube Provide OLAP cube connection using the Analytics Configuration tab of DELMIA Apriso Configuration Manager.

48 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 48 The connection to OLAP cube from DELMIA Apriso requires a domain user account configured as described in the section below MS Analysis Services Access to Analysis Services is based on Microsoft Windows Authentication. This authentication model requires that all users be authenticated by the Windows operating system before they can access data that is stored in Analysis Services and before they can administer Analysis Services objects. Create database role with read permission to cubes, dimensions, cells and data source objects using SQL Management Studio, and then add Windows users to these database role members.

Configuring Process Builder Service Set service to run in context of domain user which has access to SSAS server (it can be the same user which will be used for configuring IIS). 58 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide 58 8 Common Intelligence Pack Configuration 8.1 Setting SSAS Processing Tasks Cube processing task has been created for processing the SSAS database. The task is included in master package. Processing type can be selected in the master package's System Configuration. Please refer to RAP Data Integrator Online Help for more information Standard Cube Processing Standard cube processing task is flexible. It retrieves information about OLAP cube schema from the configured OLAP server database. Based on the retrieved schema, all dimensions and facts are processed in appropriate order. At the end of the process all indexes are updated Enterprise Cube Processing Enterprise Cube Processing task updates all dimensions and facts, and additionally, creates and processes partitions for Measure Groups. This task will process only those partitions that were updated. The configuration of Cube partitioning is stored in the ETL_CUBE_PARTITION_CONFIGURATION table in the Data Warehouse. Each record in the table is a partition configuration for a specific Measure Group. The table is prepopulated with standard records. In order to use Enterprise Processing it is necessary to specify the DatabaseId of your Cube in ETL_CUBE_PARTITION_CONFIGURATION. QueryBound the query which will be used to create the partition. Each partition in the Measure Group is basically a query containing a SELECT statement with a WHERE clause that retrieves data from the Data Warehouse for a specific date range. At the end of the query, the start date (##STARTDATEKEY##) and end date (##ENDDATEKEY##] keys are included. During runtime, RAP DI fills in these keys automatically and creates a partition for each month that it finds data for. If extensions were made to an existing FACT table, the following steps should be performed: Locate the current record for the cube partition configuration in the ETL_CUBE_PARTITION_CONFIGURATION table. Copy and edit the query that is located in the QueryBound column by adding the column that was extended in the modified FACT table. Write an SQL UPDATE statement to update the QueryBound column with your new query. DataSourceId the name of DataSourceView DatabaseId the name of the OLAP Database CubeId the name of the cube QueryColumnName the name of the column which should be used as a parameter for splitting partitions in the QueryBound column. IsTableBound determines the type of the created partition. If the value of this column is set to 1, the partition is bound to an entire table. If the value is set to 0, the partition is bound to a query and uses the QueryBound and QueryColumnName columns.,

The default value is [DATE].[Calendar].[Month].&[##Year##]&[##MonthOfYear##] where ##Year## and ##MonthOfYear## is automatically replaced for every created partition. In order to correctly create new records in the in ETL_CUBE_PARTITION_CONFIGURATION table, please follow the procedure below. 1 Choose your Fact table, and use SQL Management Studio to locate it on the Cube. They become available on the Dictionary Translations screen after the GPM package for the corresponding Intelligence Pack is deployed on the server. For more information on Dictionary Items, refer to the Dictionary Online Help. 9.2 Data Warehouse 1 Create default language configuration in SYSTEM_CONFIGURATION table by running ETL_SetDefaultSystemConfiguration Stored Procedure. 2 Translate DIM_DATE (time dimension descriptions) in the Data Warehouse. Dimension DIM_<TableName>_EXT Fact FACT_<TableName>_EXT LookUp LKP_<TableName>_EXT Cube After renaming objects in the cube, please use the _EXT suffix after the object's name, whereas the naming of new objects is entirely up to the user Cube Customization MPI Database View Objects It is not recommended to change Standard MPI Database View objects. New ones should be added when required Dimension Names It is not recommended to change existing Dimension names. New Dimensions should be added when required. If Dimension name is changed, problems may occur during the merging process with the use of MPI Migration Wizard. For more information, please refer to MPI Migration Wizard Online Help Minimizing Installation Downtime One of the installation steps is moving data from source database to Data Warehouse. This requires stopping DELMIA Apriso and causing downtime. In order to minimize the downtime, it is possible to use the deployment strategies presented below.

The standard cube is configured to use these columns to provide localized description. By default, the columns are mapped as in the table below. Finding and replacing all instances might corrupt the cube definition. Care must be taken to replace the <Language> section in the <Translation> section only. For example, if the Desc1 fields are used for Portuguese, then 3082 in the <Translation> sections must be replaced with Execute the Alter Script after the changes are made. ETL must be correctly configured to populate the Desc1 with custom language descriptions in the dimension tables. 4 Reprocess the cube. The original script that defines translations in the cube is presented below.

76 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide Using TRUNCATE Functionality We understand that Truncate is much faster and best choice for clearing the contents of a table and is very handy when doing mass repeated inserts and deletes on the same table. However, please be aware that this event is NOT captured by CDC or Change Tracking. Dassault Systèmes recommends using the DELETE functionality wherever possible. If you must do a TRUNCATE for any reason, the following steps must be performed; otherwise, data will be inconsistent on the DELMIA Apriso server and Data Warehouse: 1 Shutdown DELMIA Apriso to ensure that no changes occur to the table while performing the TRUNCATE. 2 Run the incremental ETL package to ensure all the data is moved to Data Warehouse. 3 Perform the TRUNCATE on the DELMIA Apriso database. 4 Manually update the Data Warehouse by deleting records or flagging them as deleted (DeletedRow = true). 5 Restart DELMIA Apriso Customizing STG_RESOURCE_LABOR Table After adding or removing columns in STG_RESOURCE_LABOR table on Data Warehouse, it is necessary to update the Included Column of the IXD_STG_RESOURCE_LABOR_StartTime2_EndTime2 index accordingly. This will help avoid performance issues on the database when executing ETL packages DELMIA Apriso Data Preparation In order to correctly display dimensions in Cube Views, please make sure that item description columns are populated on DELMIA Apriso side. Otherwise, the items will be displayed as UNK DELMIA Apriso Entity Names on Oracle Database If the Cube displays data that was originally created using Oracle database, please bear in mind that entities whose names only differ in letter case (e.g., MNTProcedure001 and MNTPROCEDURE001) will be grouped together. This is due to the fact that Oracle is case sensitive while Cube is based on SQL which is not case sensitive. It is recommended not to use entity names that only differ in letter case.

77 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide Known Issues 11.1 Translations in DELMIA Apriso MPI Excel Add-In If new dimensions are added to the cube where translations are used, then the DELMIA Apriso MPI Excel Add-in may not work correctly when any captions are missing. Workaround To restore the functioning of the DELMIA Apriso MPI Excel Add-in, please make sure that all captions for cube translations are populated Missing Prerequisites after Reinstallation of DELMIA Apriso or Other Software After reinstallation of DELMIA Apriso client or other software used in combination with MPI, some MPI prerequisites like Analysis Management Objects may be missing. This is due to the fact that during reinstallation they are first uninstalled together with the software, but then not always reinstalled in the same fashion. Workaround After performing reinstallation of DELMIA Apriso or other software used in combination with MPI, please verify that all prerequisites are still correctly installed. If any components are missing, then please use the corresponding instructions in this document to install them The "Timeout expired" error occurs when validating an SQL query in RAP DI The problem applies to SQL Server 2014 and relates to the compatibility level of the DELMIA Apriso database. The "Timeout expired" error occurs when trying to deploy, validate or execute an SQL query inside the following ETL packages: SQL_CharacteristicRevision SQL_Country SQL_DispositionStaging SQL_Facility Workaround Open the properties of the DELMIA Apriso database and set the compatibility level to either SQL Server 2008 (100) or SQL Server 2012 (110).

78 Manufacturing Process Intelligence DELMIA Apriso 2017 Installation Guide Deployment of MPI packages using 32-bit RAP DI, and of MPI projects using 32-bit Integration Services Deployment Wizard is not possible. It is not possible to deploy large MPI packages on the SSIS server with the use of 32-bit RAP DI. "There is not enough space on the disk" exception will occur. The same exception will occur whenever the user tries to deploy an MPI.ispac project generated from an MPI package, as this will invoke the 32-bit Integration Services Deployment Wizard. Workaround To avoid performance issues MPI packages should be deployed using 64-bit RAP DI, and MPI projects should be deployed using 64-bit Integration Services Deployment Wizard.
