4 November 2013: IT Department proposed Koha as the new ILS to the NLG Management Board After a call for tenders, a contract was signed with DHD Software Solutions company in March 21, 2014 April 2014: Export of records from Horizon April-September 2014: Migration process Hardware implementation October 6, 2014: Staff training and beginning of testing October 27, 2014: Koha became the new ILS!!!

14 In order to facilitate and make the cataloging procedure more accurate, NLG decided that fields 4XX (Linking Entry Block) and 5XX (Related Title Block), should point to other bibliographic records through an automated function. In order to accomplish this demand a new builder was developed, that gives the cataloger the opportunity to search for other bibliographic records, copy the necessary fields from the target record automatically and store the biblionumber of the linked record to $9 subfield. Searching is done using various fields, exploiting the indexed bibliographic fields of the indexer engine (Zebra). In addition, search results can be narrowed through an item-type filter.
