4 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Intrductin These instructins will guide yu thrugh the installatin f the SelectPay sftware. Yu will need t have Administratr rights t install the necessary system files. Please nte that these instructins are based n an installatin whereby all applicatins have been selected t be installed, but yu will need t chse the applicatins that yu require. Overview and cnsideratins We recmmend that a qualified and Access trained installatin engineer perfrms the installatin and cnfiguratin f yur system. It is very imprtant t meet the System Requirements; please review these befre cmmencing installatin. It is imprtant t make sure that yu are the Administratr n the machine befre installing t ensure full installatin rights are granted. Yu must have sufficient permissins n the flder yu are installing t. If yu wish t install all the SelectPay applicatins and use SQL Server n yur cmputer, make sure that Micrsft SQL Server 2008 r higher is installed n yur cmputer. A freely distributable versin f this sftware is included n the installer. If required, fllw the n-screen instructins, accepting the default ptins when prmpted. As with all ther sftware installatins, we recmmend that n ther applicatins are running when installing these applicatins. System Requirements Micrsft Distributed Transactin Crdinatr service must be enabled fr the SelectPay Service. This is cvered within these installatin ntes. The fllwing Operating Systems are supprted: Windws Vista, Windws Server 2012 R2, Windws Server 2008 R2, Windws 10, Windws 8.1, Windws 8, Windws 7. The fllwing editins f Micrsft SQL Server are supprted: SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014, and SQL Server 2016 Yu will need Yu will need t knw the fllwing in rder t cmplete the installatin if yu are unsure, please seek assistance frm yur IT department. Where are yu installing the separate cmpnents? Fr instance, sme cmpanies will have a SQL server n which t install the Service and the Administratrs, and the Client will then be installed n the users cmputers. Hwever, ther rganisatins may have an Applicatin server n which t install the Service separately, and admin users may require the Administratr prgrams. At ther times yu may wish t install all cmpnents nt ne cmputer. This will affect hw yu install SelectPay. Yur SQL Server Name this is the name f the cmputer n which yur SQL server is installed. This will be referred t as yur SQL Server Name. Yur SQL Server Instance (where applicable) this is the name given t the versin f SQL that has been installed. 5 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Yur SQL Server Administratr username and passwrd r anther SQL server username and passwrd which has full rights. Full Administratr rights t install and access the prgram flders int which SelectPay will be installed. If yu are keeping a previus versin, yu will need t knw which prt number it is using s that yu d nt use the same ne fr this versin. Whilst installing, please take a nte f the SQL server name and instance, and the prt number that yu select t use. Micrsft Distributed Transactin Crdinatr service If yu are installing the SelectPay Service yu will need t check that this feature is enabled n the machine yu are installing t, befre running the installatin. Please seek assistance frm an IT prfessinal befre making any changes. G t Cntrl Panel >> Administrative Tls >> Cmpnent Services. Expand Cmpnent Services >>Cmputers >>My Cmputer >>Distributed Transactin Crdinatr. Right-Click n Lcal DTC and select Prperties, then select Security. 6 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Dwnlading the install files The SelectPay install files can be dwnladed frm ur website, alng with yur Unlck Key. T Dwnlad G t click n Supprt and select the Payrll area. Sign in If yu have already registered yu shuld have an address and a passwrd t access the site. If yu have nt yet registered yu will als be able t d this n the screen. Please enter a valid , enter yur RH r BH reference as the Username and chse a passwrd. Once yu have lgged in successfully, select t Dwnlad yur Sftware Yu will be taken t a screen which cntains a link t dwnlad the sftware and anther link t yur unlck key which will be available nce yur sftware licence has been purchased. Click n SelectPay dwnlad. If yu receive any security questins please refer t yur IT Department. Internet Explrer: Yu will receive a prmpt t ask what yu want t d with the files please select t Save As, r Save the files t yur cmputer, then select Open Flder. Chrme r Firefx: The dwnlad will start autmatically, please click n the buttn fr the dwnladed item, r view all dwnlads. The dwnladed files are cmpressed int a zipped dcument which will save t yur Dwnlads flder as a default. Right-click n the zipped Setup flder and select t Extract the files. Brwse t the lcatin in which yu wish t save the installatin files and Extract, fr instance C:\Installatin\Selectpay. Nte: the extractin prcess will vary depending n the extractin sftware yu are using. The installatin files are nw ready t use please keep a nte f their lcatin. Saving yur Unlck Key When yu have accessed the dwnlad page n ur website, please save the unlck key t yur cmputer. T d this, right click n Dwnlad Unlck and select Save target as. 7 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Installatin Uninstalling Previus Versins If yu already have a previus versin f SelectPay installed, we recmmend retaining yur current versin until the new versin is fully peratinal. Hwever, if yu chse t retain the current versin yu will nt be able t use the default values set in the installer, such as the prt number. If yu d wish t uninstall the previus versin please fllw the steps belw, therwise please skip this step. Yu can als uninstall any system detected previus versins frm the new installer. Please ensure all users are lgged ut f SelectPay befre cntinuing yu can check this in SelectPay Administratr under Database >> Users. N users shuld be active. Please Nte that it is imprtant t ensure yu have a backup f yur data and any custmised files that yu may need t use with the new versin f SelectPay. Stpping the Services It is advisable t stp the current service befre uninstalling. T d this, g t Start >> Cntrl Panel >> Administrative Tls >> Services. Right-click n the Access SelectPay Server [Previus versin] and select t Stp the service. If yu are integrated with SelectHR it is als advisable t stp the Access Select Payrll Service (the HR integratin Service) and restart it again nce installatin is cmplete. Uninstalling If yu wish t uninstall yur current versin f SelectPay, yu can either run the new installer and select t uninstall any detected previus versins, r else g t Start >> Cntrl Panel >> Prgrams and Features. Find the relevant versin f Access SelectPay in the prgrams list, right-click and select t Uninstall. 8 SelectPay Installatin Instructins The way in which the prduct uninstalls depends n which versin yu are uninstalling. Frm SelectPay 2.4 nwards the uninstall wizard will lk similar t this: Select Uninstall t uninstall the selected versin. Once cmplete, the wizard will cnfirm that SelectPay has been successfully remved frm yur system. Nte that yu will need t make sure that yu uninstall all the prducts that make up the SelectPay family, such as the Administratr and Service. If yu wish t keep yur previus versin yu will need t knw which Prt number it uses, and stp the service befre installing. Navigating the Installer Web Pages Once the installatin files have been dwnladed and extracted, duble-click n the Setup.exe applicatin file which will pen the installatin web pages this is just like running the installatin frm a CD. Yu may need t change the ptin t view the file name extensins in the flder settings t see this. When yu run the Setup.exe file the installatin pages will pen with Internet Explrer. If yur default brwser is Internet Explrer (versin 6 r later), duble-click the setup file. If Internet Explrer (versin 6 r later) is nt installed n yur cmputer, and yu duble-click the setup file, it may prmpt yu t install internet Explrer. If s, please fllw the n-screen instructins. 9 SelectPay Installatin Instructins The dwnladed installatin files are the same files that wuld have been fund n the CD, and as such the installatin pages refer t the SelectPay CD thrughut. There is a SelectPay CD intrductin screen which appears as sn as yu run the Setup.exe file. This will describe what is available t be installed and cntain links t the instructins and latest features. There is a link t install prerequisites, t install SelectPay and t explre the CD. Installing SelectPay Please Nte: Please ensure all users are lgged ut f SelectPay befre cntinuing yu can check this in SelectPay Administratr under Database >> Users. N users shuld be active. If yu have any ther services r users which use the AA_User_Management database, such as ASC (Access Supply Chain), ADM (Access Dcument Manager) r WFF (Wrk Flw Frms), yu will need t stp these befre installing SelectPay therwise the install will nt cmplete successfully. When yu are ready t install, select Install SelectPay frm the Install sectin. 10 SelectPay Installatin Instructins The Installatin Wizard The installatin wizard cmprises f a series f steps t allw yu t persnalise yur installatin. Fllw the n-screen instructins when prmpted, and make the fllwing decisins where necessary. The SelectPay Installatin Wizard This wizard will guide yu thrugh the installatin prcess. Each screen will have a Next buttn in the bttm right-hand crner, and a back arrw in the tp left hand crner (excluding the first screen). There is als a Help buttn in the tp right-hand crner f mst screens, t assist yu with that step f the installatin. The first screen advises that if yu use certain Access Applicatins yu will need t temprarily stp the services during the installatin f SelectPay. This is t prevent any errrs and ensure a successful install. This screen als highlights the infrmatin yu will need during yur installatin, depending n the features yu chse t install. 11 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Previus Versin Detected If yu have nt already uninstalled yur previus versin, the installer will give yu the ptin t uninstall this as part f the installatin wizard. Tick any items that yu wish t uninstall. Depending which versin yu are selecting t uninstall, the windws installer will appear as fllws when yu click Next t cntinue, and yu will nt be able t cntinue with yur new installatin until this is cmplete. Fr versins prir t 2.4 the ld installer windw will appear and will start t uninstall the lder versin immediately. Frm 2.4 nwards the new installer windw will appear. When yu select Uninstall it will uninstall the lder versin immediately. If yu d nt wish t uninstall any items shwn, leave them un-ticked and click Next t cntinue. Yu will need t knw which prt number the lder versin is using s that yu can select a different prt fr the new installatin. User Infrmatin The User Infrmatin details will be pre-ppulated with the credentials f the user currently lgged int the machine. Please check that this is crrect r enter the user details required fr yur rganisatin. 12 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Yu can click n Brwse t change the lcatin and select r create an alternative flder. Care shuld be taken when selecting an alternative lcatin; the install lcatin shuld be unique t ensure existing versins f SelectPay are nt verwritten. Installatin Type this step will allw yu t chse a Client Only r Custm installatin. Client Only This will select nly the SelectPay Client t be installed. This is useful if yu nly wish t install the Client n multiple wrkstatins. Additinal features can be selected in the next screen, if required. Custm This will select all SelectPay features t be installed. This is useful if yu wish t install all items nt a SQL Server, r a single machine with SQL server installed. Features can be deselected in the next screen, if required. Please nte that the SelectPay Web Service will nt be ticked as a default as it is nly required fr integratin purpses, such as integratin with SelectHR. Feature Selectin This screen will allw yu t chse which features yu wish t install fr SelectPay. By hvering yur muse ver each individual feature a descriptin will appear n the righthand side t explain what the feature des. Depending which ptin yu selected n the Installatin Type screen, ne r all f the bxes will be ticked (excluding the Integratin Web Service, which will need t be ticked if required). 13 SelectPay Installatin Instructins The fllwing instructins are based n a Custm installatin with all applicatins selected, which will shw all screens available in the wizard. If yu are installing the cmpnents separately yu will nly see the parts f the wizard which relate t yur chsen features. SQL Server Details Enter the SQL Server details that yu wish t cnnect t this is where yur SelectPay databases will be stred and managed. The SQL Server instance name shuld be the full server name and SQL Server Instance where yur database will be held, e.g. [Yur Server Name]\SQL2012. If yu have a single machine installatin with Micrsft SQL Server Express installed n yur cmputer, enter yur cmputer name and the name f yur SQL Server Instance e.g. [Yur Cmputer Name]\SQLEXPRESS. Yu can find the cmputer name by right-clicking My Cmputer n the desktp, selecting Prperties, and find the cmputer name field. Select whether yu will be using Windws r SQL Authenticatin and enter the authenticatin details that will be used t cnnect SelectPay t that server. This must be an accunt with sysadmin rights. 14 SelectPay Installatin Instructins SelectPay Service Details This step will nly appear if yu are installing the SelectPay Service. It will allw yu t select a relevant user accunt and enter the prt number n which this service will perate. The Lgin and Passwrd is nly required if yu have selected t use a Windws Dmain Accunt. It is advisable fr yurself, r yur netwrk administratr, t create a Windws User Accunt specifically t run the Payrll Service. The accunt shuld have full netwrk permissins and a passwrd that never expires. The default Prt number is If yu intend t have multiple versins f SelectPay yu will need t change this, as the prt can nly be used by ne prgram at a time. If yu have multiple versins f SelectPay it is advisable t refer t the SelectPay versin, such as using prt fr versin 2017r1. Please make a nte f yur prt number as yu will need it later. 15 SelectPay Installatin Instructins SelectPay Web Service Details Please nte that there are tw screens fr the Web Service Details. These screens will nly appear if yu are installing the SelectPay Web Service fr integratin purpses On the first screen please specify the Web Site, Virtual Directry and Applicatin Pl details required fr this installatin. Yu can als create a new Applicatin pl if required, whereby the lgin shuld be in the frmat <dmain>\<username>. Click Next t Cntinue. SelectPay Web Service Details The secnd screen requires yu t enter the SelectPay Service and accunt details t cnnect t the SelectPay databases. 16 SelectPay Installatin Instructins SelectPay Server Prt Number SQL Server Instance If yu are installing the web service individually yu will need t enter the relevant values. Ready t Install This is the final screen f the SelectPay wizard. This screen will tell yu which features are ready t be installed, depending n yur selectins during the previus steps in the wizard. When yu are happy with the selectin click Install t start the installatin. Installing Please wait while the features yu have selected are installed. 17 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Once the installatin is cmplete, the wizard will cnfirm that SelectPay 2017r1 has been successfully installed n yur system. Please nte that in rder t use this versin with yur existing database(s) yu will need t launch the SelectPay Administratr, backup yur database(s) and upgrade them. Click Exit t clse the wizard. Yur chsen SelectPay features shuld nw be installed and available frm yur start menu. 18 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Mdify - If yu chse t Mdify the installatin, yu will then be taken t the Feature Selectin screen where yu can chse additinal features which yu may require, r remve thse that yu d nt need. Click Next t cntinue. The wizard will then take yu thrugh any necessary setup screens and will advise which features are t be installed r remved. Click Install t prceed. Uninstall - If yu select t Uninstall instead, this will uninstall the whle SelectPay prduct. SelectPay Administratr The SelectPay Administratr allws yu t manage yur databases and users. If yu have retained previus versins, please ensure that yu pen the crrect versin f SelectPay Administratr. Creating a New Database This sectin will guide yu thrugh creating a new database, whether this is a live database fr yur cmpany r a test database. If yu already have a database set up in a previus versin and just wish t upgrade, please skip this sectin and refer t the Taking a Backup f yur Data and Upgrading a Database sectins. Please Nte: If yu have just installed SelectPay fr the first time yu will need t create a new database in rder fr the required databases t be created in the SQL server. 19 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Use yur start menu r tiles t find the SelectPay Administratr prgram. This shuld be in the Access Applicatins area. Lg in using an accunt with sysadmin rights and the Database Server Name this is the cmputer r server name and the instance. E.g. [Yur Server Name]\SQL2012 If prmpted t "Enable CLR integratin", respnd "Yes". This is required t allw the sftware t wrk crrectly with SQL Server. Click n the Database tab and select the New Database buttn n the ribbn. Cmpleting this step will create the required Payrll databases (User Management and Payrll Reprts). Fllw the n-screen instructins n each page and enter the relevant details these can be dummy details fr a test database but must be crrect if used fr a live database. At the end f the wizard, n the Database Details screen: Enter (and make a nte f) a Database Name Enter (and make a nte f) the SelectPay Administratr Details Enter (and make a nte f) the Access SelectPay Web Service User Details this is used fr integratin purpses nly. Supply the Access SelectPay Server User (Dmain and User) if yu mdified the service prperties yu shuld supply the accunt details used t run the service; therwise leave the Dmain and User blank. 19 This Dcument is the prperty f Access UK Cpyright 2017 Access UK Ltd All rights reserved Classificatin Public

20 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Cntinue t fllw the n-screen instructins when prmpted, and clse the wizard when the database has been created. If yu wish t use this database yu will need t unlck it. Please refer t the sectin Unlcking a Database. Taking a Backup f yur Database Please take a backup f yur data befre upgrading. It is imprtant t take a backup f yur data prir t any majr changes. If yu have nt already dne this in SelectPay, yu can take a backup within the SelectPay Administratr. On the Database tab select Databases. 21 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Yu will then be able t check the default backup lcatin, which will default t yur SQL server, and amend the backup name if required. Click n OK t back up the database. Upgrading a Database Frm SelectPay When yu install the latest versin f SelectPay, yu will need t upgrade and unlck any existing databases t that versin in rder t use them. This includes service packs. Please ensure that yu pen the crrect versin f the SelectPay Administratr therwise yu will nt be able t upgrade yur data. Please ensure that yu have a backup f yur data prir t upgrading. Pay that has been prcessed, but nt had a perid end run, will have the prcessed flag remved after upgrading t a later versin f SelectPay. This is by design s that any changes t parameters are applied crrectly; therefre, yu shuld ensure all pay frequencies have had a perid end run befre yu start the upgrade prcess. T upgrade: Open SelectPay Administratr. Lgin t the SQL Server n which yu created yur database. Select the Database tab and click n the Databases buttn n the ribbn. Lcate the database yu wish t upgrade in the list and highlight it, then select the Upgrade Database buttn n the ribbn (this will nly be available if the database requires upgrading). 21 This Dcument is the prperty f Access UK Cpyright 2017 Access UK Ltd All rights reserved Classificatin Public

22 SelectPay Installatin Instructins The Upgrade Preparatin screen will cnfirm the database yu have chsen t upgrade and allw yu t take a backup. Click Next t start the upgrade. Yu may be prmpted t enter a passwrd fr the Web Service User, which is used fr integratin purpses. Please enter (and take nte f) a passwrd fr this user. Click Finish when the upgrade has cmpleted. The status will indicate if the upgrade cmpleted r failed and yu can view the lg fr details. Lcate the database yu have just upgraded and select it (yu may need t clse and repen the databases list fr it t appear). Click the Synchrnise User Management buttn n the ribbn. Click Yes. This will add all the users frm the database t the User Management database. Unlck the database (see the Unlcking a Database sectin). The database is nw upgraded and can be accessed by the latest versin f SelectPay. After upgrading it is recmmended t check all yur dcument settings within the dcument cnfiguratin. This will allw yu t cnfirm that yur reprts and dcuments are set up crrectly and that if yu have any custm reprts they are still available. It is als advisable t check the Pay Frequencies t ensure the Earnings Perids crrespnd t yur payments dates, as required. Frm Payrll SE If yu were previusly using Payrll SE with an Omnis database, yu must upgrade yur database t use it with SelectPay and SQL Server. Pay that has been prcessed, but nt had a perid end run, has the prcessed flag remved after upgrading t a later versin f SelectPay. 23 SelectPay Installatin Instructins crrectly; therefre, yu shuld ensure all pay frequencies have had a perid end run befre yu start the upgrade prcess. Open SelectPay Administratr. Lgin t the SQL Server n which yu created yur dummy database. Click the Database tab n the ribbn. Click Upgrade Omnis Payrll Datafile. Brwse t yur Omnis data file. Click next t view the Database name and lgin details. Enter (and make a nte f) a Database Name Enter (and make a nte f) the SelectPay Administratr Details Supply the Access SelectPay Server User (Dmain and User) if yu mdified the service prperties yu shuld supply the accunt details used t run the service; therwise leave the Dmain and User blank. Click Next t see a cnfirmatin summary and Next again t start the upgrade. Click n Finish t clse the wizard when the database has been created. Click n the Databases buttn. Lcate the database yu have just upgraded and select it. Click the Synchrnise User Management buttn n the ribbn. Click Yes. This will add all the users frm the database t the User Management database. Unlck the database (see the Unlcking a Database sectin). The database is nw upgraded and can be accessed by the latest versin f SelectPay. After upgrading it is recmmended t check all yur dcument settings within the dcument cnfiguratin. This will allw yu t cnfirm that yur reprts and dcuments are set up crrectly. It is als advisable t check the Pay Frequencies t ensure the Earnings Perids crrespnd t yur payments dates, as required. Please als see the Data Prvisining Service sectin. We previusly advised t use the fllwing flder: C:\Users\<user.name>\Dcuments\Access UK Ltd\Payrll Administratin. Duble-click the.unlck file within that flder. The naming cnventin f the unlck key shuld indicate which versin it is fr. This unlck shuld nw appear in the Unlck Key List. Duble-click the available unlck. The unlck name will nw appear alngside the selected database in the database list. Yu will nly be able t assign an unlck key t a database if the unlck versin matches the database versin. If an unlck key des nt appear, check that the database versin is crrect. Test Only Database Frm SelectPay versin 2.4 yu are able t flag a database as a Test Only database. This will enable yu t create a database which can be used fr training purpses r parallel running f yur payrll. A test database will allw yu t cmplete mst payrll prcessing, but will nt create actual HMRC submissins. Test databases d nt cunt against yur unlck licence. Please refer t the Help fr mre infrmatin. T set this flag, select the desired database in the list, then g t Database Tasks, Set as Test Only. Once set this flag cannt be remved, but yu will be able t take a backup f the database and restre it as a live database if required. Accessing a Database Once yu have installed SelectPay, created r upgraded a database and unlcked it, yu are ready t use that database. Navigate t Start >> All Prgrams >> Access Applicatins >> SelectPay 2017r1 >> SelectPay. Mdifying the Service Prperties During the SelectPay Service installatin wizard yu are able t select the apprpriate accunt fr the Service t run n, chsing between a Lcal System, Lcal Netwrk r Windws Dmain Accunt. It is advisable fr yurself, r yur netwrk administratr, t create a Windws User Accunt specifically t run the Payrll Service. The accunt shuld have full netwrk permissins and a passwrd that never expires. If this has been set up incrrectly and yu wish t change the user, please fllw these steps: G t Cntrl Panel > Administrative Tls > Services. Select Access SelectPay v2017r1 Service, right-click and select Prperties. G t the Lg On tab, and enter the relevant user details. Data Prvisining Service (DPS) Yu can retain yur current HMRC Data Prvisining Service (DPS) dwnlad infrmatin by lcating and mving yur DPSViewer.ini file. A rutine needs t be run against yur accunts database befre yu attempt t cnnect SelectPay t yur Access Dimensins accunts database, which takes place in the SelectPay Administratr. Open the SelectPay Administratr. Click n the Database tab and select the ptin Access Dimensins Link Setup In the wizard which appears enter: The Server name and SQL instance which hlds yur Dimensins database. The name f the Dimensins database. The authenticatin type (Windws r SQL Server). If yu have chsen SQL Server authenticatin, yu nw need t enter the administratr name and passwrd. If yu have chsen Windws authenticatin then yu need t be an administratr in the selected database (fr SQL2012 and abve yu will need t have db_wner rle membership). Click OK t update the infrmatin entered int the Dimensins database yu have identified. Alternatively, click Cancel t exit the dialg withut making any changes. Yu shuld receive a message that the Access Dimensins Link has been successfully setup fr this database. Click OK t finish. User Permissins: When lgging int yur accunts database frm SelectPay (described abve) it is essential that the User accunt yu use has the crrect permissins, whether lgging in using the SQL Server lgin credentials r using Windws Authenticatin. The User wh lgs in must have the AA_DIMENSIONS_R rle in the SQL server. Because the AA_DIMENSIONS_R rle has quite wide-ranging permissins ver the accunts database, yu may like t create a dedicated User recrd fr the task f linking SelectPay t accunts. A Windws Authenticatin lgin can be used, as it ffers additinal security, but needs t belng t the AA_DIMENSIONS_R rle. 33 SelectPay Installatin Instructins Cnfiguratin with a Prxy Server Access Payrll (SelectPay and Payrll SE ) cntains tw applicatins that cmmunicate t HMRC acrss the internet the PayrllPster and the DPSViewer. The PayrllPster will detect any prxy setting used by Internet Explrer and use these. Fr the DPSViewer yu need t edit the cnfiguratin files. If yu use a prxy server, then yu must create cnfiguratin files as described belw. If yu are nt using a prxy server, yu d nt need the cnfiguratin files. Authenticatin Fr bth cnfiguratin files, the address and prt details are fund in yur Internet Brwser settings. Fr example, in Internet Explrer, navigate t Tls >> Internet Optins >> Cnnectins >> LAN Settings. The address and prt are n this page. Hwever, the user and passwrd needs t be supplied by a lcal IT specialist (the defaults are 1, as shwn belw). Please nte that bth applicatins nly supprt Basic Authenticatin. DPSViewer The DPSViewer s cnfiguratin file cntains the same Prxy element. Where needed, the file is named dpsviewer.ini and cntains the fllwing: <?xml versin="1.0" encding="utf-8"?> <DPSViewer> <Prxy address=" " prt="8888" user="1" passwrd="1" /> </DPSViewer> Replace the values with yur Prxy server details and save this file in the fllwing flder: C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\raming\Access UK Ltd\Payrll\DpsViewer The easiest way t check if the DPSViewer is wrking is t use it. Duble-click n SelectpayBtstrapper.exe t launch the wizard this will als detect if any prerequisites require installing. Installatin Errrs Errr 1721 There is a prblem with this Windws Installer package. Received when uninstalling an earlier versin f SelectPay which was nt installed int the default lcatin. The errr will state which flder it is attempting t uninstall frm. The slutin is t cpy the flder referred t in the errr message, frm the nn-default lcatin int the path being lked fr. Run the Uninstall again and yu will be able t manually delete the riginal nn-default flder. A prblem ccurred when cnfiguring the User Management database. The errr received was: The User Management database culd nt be upgraded as active users exist. This installatin will cntinue t install the sftware. Hwever, yu will need t manually cnfigure the user Management using its cnfiguratin utility. Please cntact yur supprt prvider fr assistance. This errr may appear during installatin t advise yu that the User Management database cannt be updated because there are users active. Yu shuld ensure that all users are lgged ut befre installing. In SelectPay Administratr g t Database >> Users and ensure there are n active users. Yu can then either uninstall SelectPay and reinstall, r else run the User Management Utility. A similar errr may appear if yu have ther services using the User Management database that have nt been stpped befre installing. This can include services such as ASC (Access Supply Chain), ADM (Access Dcument Manager) r WFF (Wrk Flw Frms). Yu shuld stp these befre reinstalling SelectPay r running the User Management utility. A similar errr may ccur if yur SQL Server service has nt been started. This prblem ccurs when yu attempt t lg n t SelectPay using mismatched versins f the client and server. Check that yur client is up-t-date, and that yur cnnectin details pint t the crrect server (server name and prt number) as these may have changed after an upgrade. Als ensure that any ld versin f the SelectPay Service n the same server and prt number has been stpped. Cannt pen database "AA_ACCESS_USER_MANAGEMENT" requested by the lgin. The lgin failed. Lgin failed fr user "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM". Received when lgging int SelectPay installed nt SQL Server This is because the default permissins have changed in SQL Server 2012 and the SelectPay Service is installed t run under the Lcal System accunt. The slutin is t change the service t run as a Windws user that des have permissins t access the AA_ACCESS_USER_MANAGEMENT database, r mdify the permissins f the database t grant access t NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM (e.g. add t the sysadmin server rle) An SqlParameter with ParameterName '@PS_WebServiceUser' is nt cntained by this SqlParameterCllectin This message appears when the User Management database has nt upgraded prperly and indicates that the relevant fields wuld nt have been updated fr the Web Service User. Please refer t the Installatin Errr relating t the User Management fr a reslutin. HR Integratin Yur HR integratin shuld already have been set up at this stage. Hwever, there are sme imprtant pints t nte regarding the Web service install and IIS cnfiguratin, especially when using Windws 8.1. Web Service Install NOTE: Due t limitatins with the Crystal.NET Runtime, yu must install the web service int a 32-bit applicatin pl n 64-bit machines (check the Enable 32-bit Applicatins setting n the applicatin pl advanced settings). IIS cnfiguratin / Windws 8.1 Internet Infrmatin Services (IIS) must be installed prir t installing the SelectPay Web Service but by default may have sme features disabled which prevent the Web service frm installing crrectly. These will need t be amended befre the Web Service is installed. If yu are using IIS 7 yu must als enable IIS Metabase and IIS 6 cnfiguratin cmpatibility. G t Cntrl Panel >> Prgrams and Features, and select Turn Windws features n r ff. Expand Internet Infrmatin Services, Web Management Tls and IIS 6 Management Cmpatibility. Ensure that IIS Metabase and IIS 6 cnfiguratin cmpatibility is ticked. Nte that if yu have installed IIS after.net Framewrk, then yu may have t update the handler mappings n yur web server.
