Backup and Recovery and High Availability One backup process for metadata and multimedia Advanced Replication replicates multimedia data For disaster recovery situations, multimedia data is automatically transferred to a standby database. Extensibility If an image is a document it can be indexed, thematically searched and gists can be extracted from it. Metadata can be extracted and search from multimedia data Flexibility Sets of multimedia data can be deleted, updated or copied as easy as it is to write a query. Multimedia data can be linked together and metadata can be easily attached. All data related to multimedia data or a set of multimedia data can logically co-exist.
