2 Basic Operations Access files from within the server, click and drag item to the desktop, and replace modified work back into the server. Understand the difference between quitting and closing a program. Minimize, maximize, and restore documents from the dock as needed. Understand and properly use Save and Save As. Save As Allows the destination, file name, and file type to be chosen. Save Saves file using existing location, file name, and file type. Use the Undo feature to recover previous work (i.e.: Recover typed words, unpaste, unformat, etc.). Access available tools (standard, formatting, drawing, etc.). Take pictures using the digital camera and upload them to a computer. Use the laptop focusing on the use of the touchpad as a mouse. Use the Help menu to type in a keyword and/or look at the available list of topics. Use Copy, Cut, and Paste functions to edit documents. Use the Print Preview feature available in most programs to view files prior to printing. Use two or more software applications at the same time. 3 Keyboarding Adjust the view of files and folders(as Icons, As List, As Columns). Use correct posture when keyboarding and demonstrate mastery of proper keyboarding technique. Key word lists and sentences using correct posture and proper keyboarding technique. Use language skills including capitalization, punctuation, spelling, word division, and the use of numbers and symbols as grade levelappropriate. Use a variety of software applications to produce, proofread, and correct errors within documents. Students will keyboard 20 words per minute with 94% accuracy by the end of the fifth grade. Word Processing Right-Click/Control Click on audio/video clips to download to specific location to insert into a project. Change Text font, size, style (bold, italicize, underline) and color. Understand AutoCorrect features for spelling and grammar (Red underline misspelling, green underline grammar error). Take pictures using the digital camera and upload them to a computer. Create various Photo Albums to organize photos. Edit the photos (rotate, crop, red eye, etc.) Utilize the click-drag feature to manipulate the order of pictures within iphoto. 6 Presentation Software Insert audio into presentation. Add transitions and titles to movie. Create assessment such as a rubric and timeline to facilitate evaluation of movie and monitor progress. Insert Effects to enhance presentation. Remove unwanted individual clips. Use crop, clear and split video at playhead feature to edit selected clips. Present edited movie for the purpose of persuading, informing or entertaining audience and utilize class created rubric to evaluate group presentations. Export final product in the appropriate size and format to a designated location Create a new presentation or open an existing file. Change view to organize, change sequence, delete and edit slides. Insert audio (sound effect and/or recorded voice) into presentation. Insert video taken with the digital camera or video camera. Use the auto sum formula to create a formula within the spreadsheet. Insert and delete columns and rows.
