3 LOGO main logo The three pillars of Altus Consulting: - Respect - Integrity - Empathy If you look closely the logo is constructed by the 3 pillars that are supporting each other. Symbol Logo Logotype 2

4 LOGO main versions & usage main vertical and horizontal version The Altus logo should be used in its main form and colors whenever possible. The alternative version may only be used if the main version looks out of place. The logo is versatile and the elements can be used individually (symbol, logotype and combined). Depending on the situation and the logo size requirement either version is fine. main symbol only In small spaces it is recommended to use the logotype version or only the symbol for maximum readability. main logotype only version 3

5 LOGO alternate versions & usage flat color, monochrome, 1 color versions, etc (all alternate versions) In some cases, a full color logo may not be practical or possible due to limitations in printing. For these instances we may use a flat colored version, black and white version or a one-color black or white logo. When placing the logo onto imagery, please ensure that it is placed within a white rectangle with the appropriate clear space (see next pages for clear space). The logo can be placed onto imagery without the white rectangle box only if it allows maximum legibillity and visibility. 4

7 LOGO min. clear space The x value is the space between the symbol and the logoype in the main vertical version of the logo. The logotype typography has been carefully spaced and should not be changed or re-typed. To ensure that the logo is clearly visible in all applications, it needs to be surrounded with sufficient clear space free of type, graphics and other elements that might cause visual clutter. To ensure the integrity and legibility of the logo, the area directly surrounding it should be protected. When any version of the logo is used, a clear space labeled in the examples must be maintained. The minimum clear space is depended on the x value which can be seen in the example. This value is created by the ratio of specific elements in the logo. This way the x value will be consistend with the different sizes of the logo. In Altus the x value is the space between the symbol and the logoype in the main vertical version of the logo. 6

8 LOGO min. size for digital use (on screen values) There are no predetermined sizes for the Altus logo. Scale and proportion should be determined by the available space, aesthetics, function and visibility. There is no preset maximum size for the logo. Different versions of the main logo have different min sizes. The limitation is only to the text readability. 9 LOGO symbol usage The Altus symbol can be used on its own when needed. This especially applies for social media purposes. The main profile pictures are usually squares and provide very limited space. Ideally the Altus symbol should be used here, rather than the full logo and maintaing the clear space ( x value) proportions explained earlier. 10 LOGO tagline logo & tagline examples The Altus logo is fairly complex on its own, and that s why adding a tagline to the logo can be tricky. Using the tagline should be separated from the logo and should be used as a part of promotional materials. The team beside you in the corporate bunker. In case the tagline must be used with the logo only, then It is important to let the logo breathe at all times, with at least x/2 (see x value in clear space section) of clear space between the logo and the tagline. Adding a tagline too close to the logo could disrupt the balance between the symbol and the logotype. Exception is when the tagline is added in the empty space of the logo. 11 LOGO positioning Placing the logo in the middle of an area should be avoided if possible. Except if the logo is the main focus (example business card, hero image) On any given format, landscape or vertical the preferred logo placement is in any corner position, or center aligned at the right or left. 12 LOGO please don t... To maintain the integrity of the Altus logo and to promote the consistency of the brand, it is important to use the logo as described in these guidelines. DON T rearrange the logo elements. DON T rotate the main symbol. DON T rotate the logo. The examples shown here illustrate possible misuses of the Altus logo that should be avoided. DON T stretch the logo. DON T change the colors. DON T outline the logo. DON T add drop shadow or other or any other graphic filters to the logo. DON T add reflections. DON T change the proportions between the symbol and logotype. 11 DON T change the appearance of the main symbol in any way. DON T use the logo over a busy image.

13 COLORS The Altus logo & brand colors are represented within this page. All of the future Altus materials will use this color in some way in order to provide connection and consistency with the main brand. Here you can see the exact color values for better use. When printing it is recommended to use the Pantone colors and use the CMYK if Pantone isn t available. 14 TYPOGRAPHY main font Main Font ( Gotham Font Family ) Typography is an important aspect of the Altus brand identity. Altus s typographic style contributes to its distinctive aesthetic. 15 TYPOGRAPHY alternate font CLEAR SANS Alternate font that should be used in a lot of text, web, where the main font isn t readable or not usable. Clear Sans is a versatile OpenType font for screen, print, and Web. It is designed with on-screen legibility and glanceability in mind. It strikes a balance between contemporary, professional, and stylish expression and thoroughly functional purpose. It has a sophisticated and elegant personality at all sizes, and its thoughtful design becomes even more evident at the thin weight. Clear Sans has minimized, unambiguous characters and slightly narrow proportions, making it ideal for UI design. Its strong, recognizable forms avoid distracting ambiguity, making Clear Sans comfortable for reading short UI labels and long passages in both screen and print. Clear Sans supports a wide range of languages using Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek scripts. The font family includes Medium, Regular, Thin, and Light weights with upright, italic, and bold styles.
