2 G-Box System. Introduction: G-Box is a Network Digital Signage Player and Server that can display Images, Video, Sides or any web URLs as a part of a Play list. Play lists can be scheduled to play at particular time, days or dates. G-Box Player is built on modern and open technologies like HTML5 / CSS3, Linux without compromising on simplicity and usability. One of the most important features of G-Box is that it can be completely managed from a web browser. You can upload media, set play lists, tickers and schedules right from anywhere using just a web browser. No need for any software to be installed on the PC. G-Box is has a local web server server and is completely self contained. It is not Cloud Based. You do not need a static IP for the G-Box, any local private IP would do. G-Box also has vertical modules for Factories to track production, Currency Exchanges, Commodity exchanges, Warehouses to display stock inventory and project Timers. G-Box can be interfaced with with PLCs, Analog (4-20ma) Sources, Thermocouples, Temperature & RH sensors etc using additional hardware modules that allow G-Box to track and log real time events. Signage Features Display Images Supported Images (JPG, PNG, GIF) Automatically fits the Images to the Screen Resolution. Automatically fits the Images to the Screen Resolution. Images can be made into play lists with time for each image. Background music can be set for Play lists. Audio can also be made a part of the Play list. Display can be Oriented in Landscape or Portrait Modes. Display Video Supports following formats MPG MP4 MOV MKV M4V AVI FLV WMV WEBM Supports SD / HD video based on the G-Box Model. SD version supports up to 640x480 (Higher resolutions will work for certain formats) HD version Supports up to 1080i videos. (Higher resolutions will work for certain formats, based on bitrate etc.) Background music, Tickers are suspended when playing video. In a playlist video can be played for a specific time or till the end of the media. One video can play full screen or in a user specified window when displaying other content like images etc.

3 Play Audio Supports MP3 WAV OGG An audio only Playlist can be setup as a Background. In a playlist audio can be played specific time or till the end of media. Display Web URLs. You can specify any WEB URL ( as a part of playlist, startup or schedule. This allows you to seamlessly link Live Intranet / Internet content into your signage content. This allows you to have in house developed intranet pages for things like Reports, Performance metrics, Birthdays and Holidays etc as part of the digital signage content. This makes integration between custom real time content with static signage content very simple and easy. You can also embed YouTube (Special URL needed for embedding) or other flash based streaming sites for dynamic video content. Scrolling Ticker (Optional) A Scrolling ticker can be played during a Image / Slide / URL Playlist. Up to two tickers can be set to play at the same time. Ticker positions can be on top or on the bottom Tickers can also be in Regional Languages (Tamil, Hindi etc) (Fonts can be uploaded for other languages also) Tickers can be text based or can read from RSS feeds. Different tickers can be scheduled for different times. Color, Font Size etc can be customized for Tickers. Even Images can be made part of the tickers using HTML tags. Speed and Direction can be set for tickers. Playlists Media can be sequenced to playlists. Each media can be set a time to play. Audio and Video can also be set to play till the end of the media. Playlist items can easily be resequenced. Transitions can be set for Image, Slides and URLs (HD G-Box required for fast animations). Any URL like youtube videos etc can be made a part of playlist. URLs can also be local intranet pages with corporate reports, Messages etc.

4 Slides Creator Custom slides with customized messages can be created right on the G-Box with out any extra software. Text can be entered. Fonts,colors and alignments etc can be changed. Background color can be set. Images can be set as Backgrounds. Dynamically updating time and Date fields can be inserted into the slide. Tables can be inserted. Text can be bullet-ed and intend-ed. Scheduler (Optional) You can create schedules here. You can set when a Media /playlist has to play. You can define start and end dates within which the media has to play. You can define Week Days when the media has to play You can also define Start and End Times of the day during which the media has to play. VNC Client / Server ( Screen Projector ). This module allows Users to project what ever they have on their desktop to a Display (VideoWall / TV ) connected to a G-Box. This module is very use full for presentations, Screen Casts etc. G-Box can act as a client and connect to a desktop (Provided the firewall is open). G-Box can also accept server connections so you don't have to open the firewall and still project your screen. Customization Manager You can customize the look and feel of modules using the CSS editor. You can upload custom fonts to be used in Slides.

5 Settings Manager. You can manage all the settings of G-Box using a web browser. Setup Date, Time, Pin etc Setup display resolution, Orientation etc. Setup Master Slave Settings. Setup Network Primary and Secondary IP for the G-Box. Setup WLAN. Apply Firmware updates Setup Proxy Settings etc. You can also restart the G-Box remotely. World Clock (Optional) Any number of Cities with time offsets can be set for the world clock Analog or Digital format can be chosen for the clocks. Up to 4 clocks can be displayed at a time. (More can run as a playlist.) CSS editor can be used to change the font, colors, background images etc for the clocks. Analog / Digital Clock Analog or Digital clock can be overlayed on any playlist. Clock is automatically hidden when playing video.

6 Vertical Modules (Optional). Stock Module Display of current stock Interface allows updating of current stock. Interface allows Editing Fields on the G-Box (By Connecting Keyboard to G-Box). Interface allows Searching for items on the G-Box (By Connecting Keyboard to G-Box). Upload Stock data as CSV Download data as CSV. Use Interactive CSS editor to change the font, colors, hide columns etc. Currency / Comodity Module Display of current exchange rates Upload Prices data as CSV Upload Prices data as CSV Setup Master/Slave systems and push Price updates to all slaves in one go. Slaves can Pull Updates from the Master. Use Interactive CSS editor to change the font, colors, hide columns etc. Display Flags for each country, Background Image for entire board etc. Project Timer Setup Projects (Project Name, Manager etc). Setup Start, Target and Plan Dates. Timer can Count Up or Count Down to a Target Date. Displays Date and Time Differences. Display all Projects as a Summary Screen Display Individual Projects with complete project data. Use Interactive CSS editor to change the font, colors, hide columns etc.

7 Production Module. Setup Shift Times, Cycle times, Alarm times etc. Break times Shift Hours Setup Reasons why a Line can be down. Setup IP Address for multiple lines. Schedule Production Plan (Planed Qty, Cycle time etc) Basic Board displays, Plan, Actual, Gap and Efficiency for a shift. Hour Board displays Plan, Actual, Gap and Efficiency for each hour in the shift as a table. Hour Board displays Plan, Actual, Gap and Efficiency for each hour in the shift as a Bar Chart. All-lines Board can display the status of multiple lines. Audio Alarms can be setup to go off when production is not detected for a specified time. Operators can be Prompted to enter Reason why Line when Down. Production Plan Schedule can be used to track different product models on the same line with different cycle times etc. You can view historic production reports for any shift in the last 90 days. Download data as CSV.
