Holding left or right arrows on keyboard in players and recorders rewinds or forwards frame by frame continuously. Field/frame preview is available in the players (de-interlace contextual menu). The mark in timecode value can be paste in the mark out timecode area using the i keyboard shortcut ( + and - operation are available in all editable timecode area). The mark out timecode value can be paste in the mark in timecode area using the o keyboard shortcut. The bin items are written with a red bullet in front when they have the ARCHIDEL status. If on air date is passed when a change is made on an edit, a warning message is displayed and the user needs to change the on air date before continuing the editing. The timeline audio track output types are recovered from one CleanEdit session to another (for a given user). A grab tool is available in CleanEdit player and allows creating a jpeg file from the current displayed picture (Folder and prefix can be setup in Xedio Manager general settings). Offline media files are marked in the timeline blocs. The CleanEdit playout tab supports keyboard shortcuts and thus can be used with the Shuttle Pro remote controller. 2 XT[2], XS

5 Package Page 5 of 14 A drag and drop of synchronised A/V clips from the timeline to the clip bin creates one single object. Drag and drop of syncronised A/V clips from the timeline to the player pre-selects the corresponding A/V components. Scaling the zooming of the jog/shuttle is possible with the mouse wheel. The database lists player displays the item being played in its title bar. Database lists lines remain highlighted while using this dedicated player. The hours, minutes, seconds and frames can be edited individually in all timecode area (by a double click on the desired field to edit). The AFX, the VFX and the color insert timeline tools can be programmed to select the desired default effect (through a right click over the desired button). It is possible to mark a timeline hole placing the nowline inside and using the mark clip tool. A properties contextual menu option can be enabled for display in CleanEdit database lists (through Xedio Manager software profiles) to allow editing the media or the edit properties stored in the database. It is possible to switch the player/recorder aspect ratio between 4:3 and 16:9 using the Ctrl+a keyboard shortcut. To set the aspect ratio display to the automatic mode, the Alt+a keyboard shortcut is available. These shortcuts can be redefined in XedioManager. The amount of items returned by a search in database lists is displayed nearby the filters icons Text tab in CleanEdit Allows to create and share templates between users Pages can be made with one or several text area and one background still picture and can be displayed/removed with a cross fade effect. Several properties are available for text (style, font, size, color opacity, alignment), spacing (interline, tracking), edge (color, size, opacity), shadow (color, opacity, position) and background (color, opacity) Xedio Cutter Allows to publish storyboards directly to the NRCS (through Xedio MOS Gateway). Provides a new export function to Avid creating an AAF file with all media references. Allows using still pictures in the storyboards Playout features Each missing edited clip in hires (from an edit) will be played using its corresponding low resolution instead (previously, the full edit was played in lowres when one edited clip was missing in hires). Playout Organiser displays each playlist item status in the resolutions columns and in the preloaded column, with color codes and text (Green = available, Orange = partially available, Red = not available, HR = hires, LR = Lowres) as displayed in the following illustration:

It is possible to re-link a missing media file (hires or lowres) to an existing media reference in the database. Xedio Archive CleanArchive cannot handle more than 300 items for one single object to archive with DIVA(max number of simulatenous requests processed by DIVA) Xedio Archive Archive/restore priority levels are not supported in FTP mode Xedio Manager A Force Delete option exists to remove Media (file and database ref) with corresponding clips and edit-clips from the database. This option can be enabled through the following registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EVS Broadcast Equipment\CleanEdit Suite\CEMMAMgr - "Enable Force Delete"=dword: Rendering Due to Quicktime Ref limitations (annexed files cannot be longer than 55 chars), Xedio & Xedio Dispatcher truncates the label of the Edit to 40 chars and add a 15 characters GUID. Rendering If a Xedio rendering task fails or is cancelled by a Xedio user, and if a file (on SAN) or a clip (on XT) has already been partially created by the rendering process, this partial file or clip won t be automatically deleted by Xedio. Rendering CleanEdit rendering process always generates 4 stereo tracks within the output files. Xedio Dispatcher Xedio Dispatcher must be installed on a dedicated workstation with no other Xedio software XT integration The Direct access is validated with Multicam version 10.1c.69 only XT integration The amount of EVS video servers that can be referred in Xedio database for Direct access is limited to XT integration The XT video servers should be configured and connected before configuring it in Xedio Manager to see its channels XT integration The guardbands value, defined on EVS video servers (for clip creation), cannot exceed 300 fields. XT integration One AVSP controller should be set on one preview channel of an XT video server to allow the use of CleanEdit in direct access mode with Multicam 10.1c.69. XT integration XT video server can be used in Direct access mode with CleanEdit with the following codecs: IMX50, DVCPRO50, DNxHD@100Mb/s XT integration When browsing an EVS Video Server Record Channel (through GbE), only the LTC can be displayed and used for clipping! VITC cannot be used. XT integration When accessing a Clip in Direct access to an EVS Video Server, the TC used XT integration and displayed is always the LTC. When creating a clip with a specified varid, if the varid is already used, the clip is created but with another varid! 1913 XT integration XT sources in IMX40 with 8 audios will provide only 4 audio streams when backed up through XTAccess in OP1a.

13 Package Page 13 of 14 XT integration Only 1 Xedio CleanEdit can browse & Edit a given XT Server Record Channel in HD at the same time. In SD, this limitation is 2 CleanEdit. 3 XT integration When accessing a Clip in Direct access to an EVS Video Server, the TC used and displayed is always the LTC! When browsing an EVS Video Server Record Channel (through GbE), only the LTC can be displayed and used for clipping! VITC cannot be used XT integration Super-slowmotion on XT record channels are not supported in Direct access mode with CleanEdit IPDirector integration IPDirector integration IPDirector integration IPDirector integration When sub-clipping on a file from IPDirector Clip Compiler, even if the original media file was already referenced in Xedio, a new file (partial backup through XTAccess) is generated on the SAN. evs.xml metadata files can be generated and updated by Xedio rendering process (CleanEdit or Task Engine). IPDirector workstations should not access to these xml files until the rendering job has ended. When sending a Playlist from IPDirector Clip Compiler to Xedio as EDL, it is recommended to use the Append function and not the sub-clipping. If the subclipping is used, the operator has to send the new sub-clip to Xedio first (generating a new file on the San) and wait until the file is properly referenced in Xedio before sending the Playlist as EDL to Xedio. IPD playlist cannot contain XT train elements before being sent to Xedio. 11 UPGRADE PROCESS FROM V2.X The database upgrade process, launched from XedioManager on the database server, must be done with an existing user having administrative privileges. This has to be done in the ODBC setup. The database upgrade process will then change the current status of the EVS user to give him the administrative privileges as well. The codec profiles set in Xedio Manager for use in case of Fast Motion (in CleanEdit) should be re-selected after upgrade to 3.0 The CleanEdit software parameters set in XedioManager under the Archivage tab, must be manually reported in the new Archive tab. Database triggers and stored procedure modified in package 2.7 will be overwritten when installing Xedio 3.0. The changes that have been made should be carried forward to the database after the upgrade process to ensure same workflow behavior. SQL Native Client must be used on every machine instead of the standard SQL Server when configuring the ODBC driver to setup a data source. 12 FAILOVER 3 At the same time on 1 HD XT/XS the limitation is 1 CleanEdit editing + 1 Rendering Task or 1 Virtual Playout or 2 Rendering Tasks 1 CleanEdit editing is still possibile but freeze could accors in the recorder. But never more than that!
