2 Welcome to getting your business and life back in order! We re excited to be one of the only video post-production houses specializing in wedding short-form films. We hope to be part of making your business run smoothly so you can have more free time on your hands, away from editing. Edit Options & Pricing We specialize in a variety of edit formats to give you what your clients are expecting from you. Choose which best suits your company s film style. Basic Highlights: 3-4 minutes of your best beauty shots set to music without any natural sound or dialogue audio. $450 Deluxe Highlights: Similar to a basic highlights film, the deluxe version also includes 1 dialogue audio anchor (toast OR homily OR vows, etc) to give your edit that little boost of something special. 3-4 minutes - $ minutes - $700 Short-Form Story Edits: Our signature, story-based editing style with emphasis on natural sound, dialogue and multiple songs*. 5-7 minutes - $ minutes- $ minutes - $ minutes - $1400 * We will select music from 1 or more of the following sources: You will be responsible for obtaining all music licenses.

3 Additional Creative Options Anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) - $99 We will apply anamorphic widescreen letterbox to your entire creative film. Custom Color-Grading (Look Building) - $150 Describe to us how what sort of "look" you'd like your film to have and we'll produce it for you. Logo Bug - $25 Add a small logo to the creative film throughout. Full-Film Stabilization - $99 We will review your entire creative film and stabilize all shots for that "locked-down" look* *results may vary based on footage Animated Credits Roll - $75 White text on black or an image background. Basic Roll - you provide.txt file. With music.

4 The Process Preparation: To prepare your assets for our editors, follow the following steps - (ALL FOOTAGE MUST BE SENT TO US ON BARE INTERNAL HARD-DRIVES LIKE THIS ONE. USB 3.0 DRIVES THAT HAVE A POWER SUPPLY ARE ALSO ACCEPTABLE. WE RECOMMEND SHIPPING YOR DRIVE IN A PADDED CONTAINER WITH THE DRIVE IN A HUDZEE CASE. 1. File Organization: See graphics below for organizational requirements. Please create the following folders on the drive: 1.Footage - 2.Project - 3.Audio - 4.GFX/Stills. We will do the rest for whatever is necessary. 2. Video File Organization: Video files do not have to be renamed but they must be placed in folders that are labeled for each cameraperson and the day part. Folder name suggestions for cameraman file organization are: Rehearsal Dinner, Bride Prep, Groom Prep, First Look, Pre- Ceremony, Ceremony, Post-Ceremony, Photo Session, Cocktail Hour, Reception Set-up and Room Shots, Introductions, Special Dances, Toasts, Party Dancing, Cake Cutting and Events, Night Shots, Misc. Footage, etc.

5 3. Recording Audio: All audio must be recorded at 48kHz 16 or 24- bit in either.wav or.mp3. If audio files do not meet these requirements, please convert them before sending. 4. Label Audio Files: Individual audio files must be labeled for the subject matter (i.e. Groom s Ceremony Mic, DJ Tap-In, Officiant Mic, First-Look, etc.). Audio must be placed in clearly labeled folders that are named for the audio recording device used for capture. These folder must then be placed in the 3.AUDIO folder. 5. Additional Information: A text file that includes the bride and groom s full names and instructions for basic graphics must be included. Please be sure the spelling is correct. Once the video is finalized, spelling errors on your part will incur additional charges. Basic graphics include lightly animated text. Please include any animated or still graphic logos you wish to have placed on the start and end of the film. These files must go into the 4.GFX-STILLS folder. 6. Completion: Once complete, final master files will be exported to full quality Apple ProRes 422 at native editing settings and placed in the 5.COMPLETE folder. We will upload to you a webquality screener for your (or your client s) review. 1 round of revisions is included with each edited job. 7. Original Files: We will not delete your original files but we will transcode optimized media to Apple ProRes 422 for editing. Please ensure the work drive you are sending has more than 750GB of free space (per project) AFTER your assets have been copied for shipping to The Dreaded Edit.

6 FAQ s How does this process work, overall? It s fairly simple. You place an order and send us your drive. We review your footage and audio. We quote you a total price. You approve or reject the quote. Payment is submitted. We edit. You sit back and relax. We deliver an online screener when complete. You get 1 round of revisions. We upload your final feature film and ship back your hard-drive with the project file and optimized media. What are you using to edit? Because of its speed and flexibility, we prefer to use Final Cut Pro X. We may be able to use Final Cut Pro Legacy or Adobe Premiere Pro. We can export XML or EDLs for any of these programs. Please discuss with us what your studio requires before placing an order. How does music selection and music licensing work? It is preferable that the client allow the editor creative freedom for music. If you request specific music to be used all music must be properly licensed and provided by client. The Dreaded Edit not responsible for purchasing, downloading or obtaining purchased music. Similarly, we will not be held accountable or be held liable for any legal issues you encounter as the result of not having properly licensed music. Does the edit include color correction and/or color grading? Yes. Basic color-correction and general color-matching is included. If you desire a specific look for your film, an option for additional color-grading and look-building is available on the order-form. Is audio sweetening and enhancing included? Yes. Light to moderate background hiss will be removed and dialogue equalized, compressed and normalized. Excessive buzz, hum and hiss and other audio problems may warrant additional cost on the estimate. We ll decide if this is necessary after reviewing your footage. Missing audio files (groom s vows, homily, toasts) and missing footage will greatly effect the time it takes to build a compelling film. Additional cost may be included in the estimate to account for these problems. We also reserve the right to decline to edit your job if we feel that the video and audio are too poor to deliver a quality product.

7 How do I receive my edit? Upon being approved as a client, we will share an upload folder with you. In there, we will maintain a folder database for each job we complete for you. Only web-quality screeners and compressed 1080 deliverable files will be hosted. Files are deleted 2 weeks after being uploaded so it s up to you make sure you download all deliverables and screeners within that time-frame. All master files and FCPX or FCP 7.0 project files are stored on your hard drive and shipped back to you after revision completion. Can I give input on how I d like the film to be edited? Our films are good because we have spent years honing our style and improving upon the art of the short-form wedding film. If you have a particular style you would like us to emulate, we can certainly do so. You are also free to make suggestions for our editors as well in terms of pacing, emotional feel or what parts of the day you want us to focus on more or less. Please keep in mind though that if we feel a particular style doesn t fall in line with our ability as editors, we may elect to decline your project. We know you shoot a certain way for a reason. If you would like us to keep this in mind during editing please let us know of any shooting style or effect shooting you wish to have included. How do revisions work? You are allowed one round of basic revisions at no charge. Basic revisions include swapping shots, trimming handles, shot-pacing and graphics adjustments and removing or re-arranging less than 20 seconds of total dialogue. No major story revisions are included in this revision. All edits are subjective. It s important to discuss your expectations with us prior to editing. What if I want you to re-work the entire edit? Major story revisions are overhauls of a complete storyline. This includes removing, replacing or shifting large amounts of dialogue, music and shots to re-arrange the context or flow of the film. Major story revisions are assessed on a per request basis and range from $100-$200 per hour based on complexity. We reserve the right to limit and refuse any changes we feel to be excessive.

8 Does my client get to make changes? If your studio offers its clients a revision round, these revisions must be included within the one free round of included revisions. We strongly suggest that your studio does NOT offer client revisions. We don t at Rob Adams Films and it works beautifully. If you think that your client will want excessive revisions, we recommend you taking the project file and letting you work with your client directly from there. What are the turn-around times? Turn-around times will vary on the complexity of the project. Please consider reserving your best and complete weddings for The Dreaded Edit. Having to deal with major video and audio problems will lengthen editing and delivery times and may incur additional cost. We are happy to edit your project for you but making the process as easy as possible on our editors will ensure a faster turnaround. Once a project has begun, editing generally takes up to three weeks once we have received the project drive and confirmation of its placement is the queue is made. Delivery times may vary, you will be given an estimated completion time-frame upon placing your order. How does payment work? Payment is accepted via major credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX.) Upon acceptance of your job we will ask you for your credit card information and keep it on file for future jobs. Full amount of the project price is processed once you approve the quote we give to you. No work will begin until payment is made. How does delivery of the project drive work? We recommend shipping your drive in a Hudzee case that is well padded. Please make sure you are not sending us the only copy of your original files. We will not be held responsible if you lose any footage or assets as the result or sending us your files. A flat rate of $15.00 for return shipping and handling is charged per project.
