1 ggg Media Director Version Volumes and Formats Terminology Volume A volume is considered a folder structure as it is produced by a camera (e.g. Sony Professional Disc, P2 Card, ) that can be handled in its entirety by an AMA plugin, or folders with collections of either MXF OP-1a or QuickTime / MP4 files (Canon D5 or GoPro SDCard,.) Supported Volume Types - Canon XF: Canon XF volume structure, for example from XF305, XF300 and XF105 cameras. - MXF: Folder containing one or more MXF OP-1a containers with AVC-I, XDCAM, IMX, DNxHD, DNxHR or DV/DVCPRO media. - Panasonic: P2 structure containing AVC-LongG, AVC-Intra, DVCPRO, DVCPRO or DVCPROHD media. - QuickTime: Folder containing one or more MOV or MP4 containers containing supported media. Note: QuickTime can wrap many different essence formats. Media Director supports Quicktime-wrapped DNx, DV and DVCPRO, MPEG-2 I-frame and Long GOP formats and like IMX and XDCAM as well as Apple ProRes and other AVC-based codecs such as H.264 and AVC-I. These formats are either supported directly by the QuickTime plugin or through the Avid QuickTime Codec Pack that is installed with Media Director. - Sony: XDCAM HD or XDCAM EX structure containing DVCAM, IMX, XAVC Intra, XAVC-Long or XDCAM media. Additional volume types may be supported as qualified AMA plugins become available. Supported Transcode Target Formats - AVC-Intra, AVC-Intra AVC-LongG 12, AVC-LongG, AVC-LongG - DNxHD 4:4:4, DNxHD High Quality (10 bit), DNxHD High Quality (8 bit), DNxHD Standard Quality, DNxHD Thin Raster, DNxHD Low Bandwidth - DNxHR 4:4:4, DNxHR High Quality Extended, DNxHR High Quality (8 bit), DNxHR Standard Quality, DNxHR Low Bandwidth - IEC-DV - DV-based, DV-based, DV-based H k Class, H.264 2M Class (both with MPEG-1 Layer II and PCM audio) - IMX 30, IMX 40, IMX - JFIF 10:1, JFIF 10:1m, JFIF 15:1s - XDCAM EX, XDCAM-EX 35, XDCAM HD 18, XDCAM-HD 35, XDCAM-HD - XAVC-Intra 4:2:0, XAVC-Intra 4:2:2 - XAVC Long GOP, XAVC Long GOP 35, XAVC Long GOP - PCM or AIFF audio at 16 or bits per sample and 44.1 or 48 khz - MPEG-1 Layer II audio at 44.1 and 48 khz and 96 bits per channel
