6 Host Video Decode vs MMR Testing Considerations General Test more than just Windows video codecs since enterprise users rarely use them (Flash, QuickTime) Test or for Flash content Test Avatar trailer for QuickTime support Test On2 (Google expected to replace Flash with On2 on Youtube) Test across a range of network bandwidths and latencies Test where network bandwidth goes below video native bit rate MMR testing with x86 Client Cost and power required for adequate MMR performance Consider TCO for client power (including 2.3x power/cooling cost factor) Host Video Decode with PCoIP Zero Client Ensure Flash blocker is not turned on Ensure SALSA encryption is selected (lower server load than AES).
