2 Keep an eye on your business with the Comcast Business SmartOffice Video Monitoring Solution in the office or on the go. The Comcast Business SmartOffice Video Monitoring Solution lets you monitor your business with 4/7 video recording all with easy online system management. SmartOffice makes it easy to keep an eye on your business anytime, from anywhere. This guide will give you a quick overview of the business grade features that are available with SmartOffice. Client Home Screen Visit smartoffice.comcast.com to get to the subscriber portal. New Motion Insights Feature The homepage in the SmartOffice portal now features Motion Insights, a new dashboard that provides a comprehensive view of all your cameras and quick links to watch live footage or playback video. With the Motion Insights dashboard, you ll have a better understanding of the activity that takes place across all parts of your business, which can help you make datadriven business decisions (e.g. you can assess peak and non-peak hours based on the amount of foot traffic coming through your business and staff appropriately based on this information). Feature Highlights Homepage Motion Insights serves as a snapshot of all camera motion activities captured by your SmartOffice cameras over the course of the previous eight hours. Simply click the bar chart at a time where motion is detected to play footage from the top of the hour. You will still have access to all video footage recorded during the previous 7, 30, or 60 days, depending on your subscription. The Inquiry Date listed at the bottom of the page is the date the dashboard last pulled data. The dashboard is not dynamic in real time. You must refresh the page to update the time/date. 3 Camera Tile Camera Preview: The camera preview is a snapshot of the camera Camera Name: By clicking on this link, it brings you to live video of that camera 3 Status: Displays the current status of the camera online in green or offline in red 4 Peak: Shows the hour within the past eight hours of footage where the most motion took place 5 Motion Activity: Represented by a bar chart depicting the past eight hours of motion activity. By clicking on a bar, you will be directed to view footage from the beginning of the hour that you clicked. This graphic is cumulative of motion events, which means that if the camera is pointing to an area that has a lot of continuous motion (without going under the motion off threshold), it may represent a smaller bar. Video Tab DISPLAY LIVE VIDEO TILES You have the ability to view multiple live videos within one screen. Switch the view from one camera to multiple cameras Toggle between different cameras by dragging the thumbnail into the view pane Video Tab 3

4 Video Tab ZOOM AND FOCUS WINDOW Allows for digital zoom Picture in Picture window allows you to focus on a specific portion of video display while zoomed in Video Tab DATE/TIME PLAYBACK You can input a specific date and time to view recorded video for up to 60 days. Note: White background indicates that a recording is present, green bars indicate motion, purple background indicates future. Drag the timeline bar forwards and backwards to locate recorded video Click the calendar icon to go to a specific date/time 4 Video Tab

5 Video Tab SWITCH TO LIVE VIEW You can easily switch between live and recorded playback. Clicking the arrow converts video back to live view Video Tab BOOKMARKING Click the Bookmark icon to tag specific events in a video Video Tab 5

6 Additional Video Icons 3 Screen view after video has been trashed The Tool icon is for technician use only Trash icon, clears all video from the video display; you can then drag a new video into view 3 Expand icon, enlarges the video view by removing the tile options from view Investigate Tab This tab houses all of your bookmarked video clips. Bookmarks are saved for 60 days. Click on a bookmarked video clip and it will play on this screen click on the camera icon that appears on a highlighted clip, and it will play in the normal playback window 6 Investigate and Vault Tabs

7 Vault Tab The Vault stores your selected video clips until they are manually deleted. All Vault videos may be downloaded to your local desktop. Note: The Vault allows up to GB of storage on the subscriber portal. There is no limit to the number of customer downloads. Download Video to Desktop Select the bookmarked video you want to export and click the Download icon Download Videos 7

8 Select the length of time before and after the bookmarked time that you wish to save, then select Save this places a copy of the video clip in the Vault To download, select the video clip you want to export in the Vault Tab Click the arrow icon to initiate download Note: You may be prompted to take another step to open or save the file, depending on your computer system settings. 8 Download Videos

11 Mobile App Overview Enjoy the ease of monitoring your business anytime, anywhere with the Comcast Business SmartOffice Mobile App. You can download the app for your mobile devices by visiting the Apple or Android stores and entering Comcast Business SmartOffice in the search field. To enhance its convenience and ease of use, two new functions have been added to the latest version of the Comcast Business SmartOffice Mobile App: Pinch to Zoom and Picture in Picture. Both of these features are available through the latest app update, which you can access through the Apple or Android stores. 13 Pinch to Zoom 3 To activate Pinch to Zoom, first tap the magnifying glass icon in the lower right hand corner You can then pinch the screen, and 3 Drag your fingers apart to zoom in or out, as well as use one finger to move around within the thumbnail This feature can be useful for focusing on a specific part of a scene or seeing more detail. 14 Picture in Picture Using Picture in Picture, you can investigate an incident that was previously recorded while still monitoring the camera in live mode. The button will only appear when recorded video is being played, so the section to be reviewed must be selected first. Tap the button showing the box in box image You will then see a smaller tile that will play back the camera s feed in live mode; this box can be moved anywhere on the device s screen This feature is useful for investigating objects that may have been removed from the scene. 4 Mobile App Overview
