5 BROADCAST VIDEO ENCODING In order to deliver the highest quality broadcast, experts utilize top-of-the line products from the video camera to the encoder that not only deliver high-quality performance, but are reliable and can be quickly manipulated. ZEUS encoders offer a variety of I/O options as well as the ability to take advantage of HEVC or H.264 video at high performance levels. See Diagram on Page 5 IP STREAMING Our ZEUS video encoders are designed to seamlessly handle streaming video over Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and web servers such as: Wowza, UStream and others. Not only do they provide H.264 or HEVC video in resolutions up to 4K, they also offer low latency and power efficiency to your IP application. 6 BROADCAST VIDEO ENCODING with the MVE-40 In the diagram below, the MVE-40 is receiving content from four SDI sources and utilizing ASI to send the information over an established network. From here, the Broadcast Network can decode and make the content readily available for Affiliate Station(s) and consumer viewing. With the flexibility of the MVE-40, users can also send the channels over Ethernet to a CDN or Web Server for viewing on mobile, tablet and desktop devices. 7 HEVC VIDEO STREAMING with the MVE-2000 The diagram below demonstrates the difference between a standard H.264 system in comparison to a system utilizing HEVC technology. Encoders equipped with HEVC typically use 50% of the bandwidth of an H.264 encoder. HEVC encoders, such as the MVE-2000, are able to send the same quality of video in half the bitrate when compared to an H.264 encoder. This gives users the versatility to double their existing channels while not consuming additional bandwidth. 8 IP VIDEO STREAMING with the DME-04 The DME-04 offers the ideal solution for streaming your live event. The diagram below demonstrates the DME-04 encoding 1080p60 video from SDI and sending it out over Ethernet to a CDN or Web Server, such as Wowza, where it is distributed for viewing on mobile, tablet and desktop devices. The SDI source is then encoded using H.264, after-which the Pro-MPEG algorithm is applied to the encoded bit stream. The FEC (Forward Error Correction) coded bit stream is sent over a lossy wireless network and received by the SME-01 equipped with Pro-MPEG to correct network errors, decode H.264, and present on a viewing display. 9 4K SECURITY & SURVEILLANCE with the HE4K-01 The diagram below demonstrates a simultaneous streaming of one source in multiple resolutions. The HE4K-01 is receiving 4K content through HDMI and sending two streams (one 4K and one HD) over a network. The 4K stream is recorded to an NVR and the HD stream is decoded and monitored on a control PC. PTZ commands or VISCA commands can be sent over IP to control the camera.
