S.R000--A v.0 List of Tables Table : CFU Subscription Options List of Tables -ii

S.R000--A v Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) permits a called subscriber to send incoming calls addressed to the called subscriber s Directory Number to another Directory Number (forward-to number) or to the called subscriber s designated voice mailbox. If this feature is active, calls are forwarded regardless of the condition of the termination. CFU does not impact a subscriber s ability to originate calls. A subscriber may select a forward-to number termination address when it registers the CFU. Applicability to Telecommunications Services CFU is applicable to voice telecommunication services.. Normal Procedures with Successful Outcome Authorization CFU may be generally available or may be provided after prearrangement with the service provider. The authorization may have the following subscription options: Deauthorization Table : Subscription Options Registration Activation CFU Subscription Options Values Variable. The subscriber is authorized to specify his or her own forward-to number. Fixed. Forward-to number is registered upon authorization. Demand. The subscriber is authorized to control the activation and deactivation of CFU. Permanent. CFU is active while authorized. CFU may be withdrawn at the subscriber s request or for administrative reasons. Registration If the subscriber is authorized for Fixed Registration, the forward-to number shall be registered upon authorization. The CFU forward-to number may be registered by the service provider upon authorization for Variable Registration subscribers. - Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU)

S.R000--A v.0 CFU may be registered by a Variable Registration authorized subscriber specifying the CFU registration feature code and a forward-to number termination address or voice message system Modifier Digit ( V on the keypad), as in: * FC + termination address + SEND, or * FC + + SEND (Voice message system). If the registration is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. Registration associates the subscriber with the termination address as a forward-to number or with a particular voice mailbox on a voice message system. Voice mailbox passwords are registered separately with the voice message system. Deregistration CFU may be deregistered upon deactivation (at the home service provider option). If the deregistration is to be separate from deactivation, the deregistration feature code must be distinct from the corresponding deactivation feature code. CFU may be deregistered by a Variable Registration authorized subscriber specifying the CFU deregistration feature code, as in: * FC0 + SEND. CFU shall be deregistered upon deauthorization. Activation If the subscriber is authorized for Permanent Activation, CFU shall be activated upon authorization. CFU may be activated upon authorization or registration for Demand Activation authorized subscribers. CFU may be activated upon registration for Variable Registration authorized subscribers. A previously registered CFU forward-to number may be activated by a Demand Activation authorized subscriber specifying a CFU activation feature code, as in: * FC + SEND. If the activation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. The serving system may provide a courtesy call to the forward-to number shortly after this feature is activated permitting the subscriber to verify the validity of the forward-to number. 0 0 Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) -

S.R000--A v Deactivation CFU may be deactivated by a Demand Activation authorized subscriber specifying the CFU deactivation feature code, as in: * FC0 + SEND. If the deactivation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. CFU shall be deactivated upon deauthorization or deregistration. Invocation The feature treatment is invoked when there is an incoming call and CFU is active. Normal Operation with Successful Outcome When CFU is active, incoming calls for the subscriber shall be forwarded to the forward-to number without being offered to the served subscriber. If the subscriber s location is known and the subscriber is idle, the MS may be commanded to provide an abbreviated (or reminder) alert to indicate that CFU has been invoked to forward a call. Call Detail Record The system should record call detail information for the following: a. CFU registration activities and events. b. CFU deregistration activities and events. c. CFU activation activities and events. d. CFU deactivation activities and events. e. CFU invocation events. f. Forward-to call leg usage. See DMH for the specific information to be included for each element.. Exception Procedures or Unsuccessful Outcome Registration If the subscriber is not authorized for the request, or if the forward-to number is not acceptable or authorized, the system shall apply feature denial treatment when registration is attempted. - Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU)

S.R000--A v.0 The system should not accept forward-to numbers to the operator (0- or 0+), service codes (N), police, fire or similar agencies, or a revertive call. Deregistration If the subscriber is not authorized for the request, the system shall apply feature denial treatment when deregistration is attempted. Activation If the subscriber is not authorized for the request, or if a forward-to number is not properly registered, the system shall apply feature denial treatment when activation is attempted. If the courtesy call to the forward-to number cannot be routed, then the call should be given the appropriate treatment, such as applying the Special Information Tone for intercept to the registering subscriber. Since the validity of the forward-to number is in doubt, CFU may be deregistered and deactivated. Courtesy calls need not be answered to verify the validity of the forward-to number. Deactivation If the subscriber is not authorized for the request, the system shall apply feature denial treatment when deactivation is attempted. Invocation If the forwarded call cannot be routed to the forwarded-to destination, then the call should be given the appropriate treatment, such as applying the Special Information Tone for intercept to the calling party. Precautions should be taken to preclude undesirable looping of forwarded numbers within the MSC or between the MSC and other switching centers. If such looping is detected, the call forwarding should be given the appropriate treatment, such as applying the Special Information Tone for intercept to the calling party. Exceptions While Roaming Exceptions During Intersystem Handoff. Alternative Procedures 0 0 Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) -

S.R000--A v Interactions with Other Wireless Services Asynchronous Data Service (ADS) * FC may not be supported (Fixed Registration and Permanent Activation option is supported). Different CFU treatment may be applied for ADS calls. Call Delivery (CD) CFU takes precedence over CD. That is, calls arriving when CFU is active are forwarded unconditionally and not given CD treatment. Call Forwarding Busy (CFB) CFU takes precedence over CFB. That is, calls arriving when CFU is active shall be forwarded unconditionally and not given CFB treatment. Call Forwarding Default (CFD) CFU takes precedence over CFD. That is, calls arriving when CFU is active shall be forwarded unconditionally and not given CFD treatment. Call Forwarding No Answer (CFNA) CFU takes precedence over CFNA. That is, an incoming call arriving for a subscriber with both CFU and CFNA active shall be forwarded with CFU. Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) Not applicable. Call Transfer (CT) Call Waiting (CW) CFU takes precedence over CW. That is, calls arriving when CFU is active shall be forwarded unconditionally and not given CW treatment. Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) If the called subscriber has CNAP active, the CNA may be presented to the called subscriber during the abbreviated (or reminder) alert. - Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU)

S.R000--A v.0 Calling Name Restriction (CNAR) Calling Number Identification Presentation (CNIP) If the called subscriber has CNIP active, the calling number may be presented to the called subscriber during the abbreviated (or reminder) alert according to CNIP s procedures. Calling Number Identification Restriction (CNIR) If the calling number indicates presentation restricted, the calling number shall not be presented to the called party, the called station, the forward-to party, or the forward-to station. If the called (redirecting) subscriber has CFU invoked and either the CNIR mode is Permanently Restricted or the CNIR Default is Presentation Restricted, the redirecting number shall indicate presentation restricted to prevent presentation to the forward-to party or to the forward-to station. Conference Calling (CC) Data Privacy (DP) Do Not Disturb (DND) CFU takes precedence over DND. That is, a call arriving when CFU is active shall be forwarded unconditionally and not given refusal treatment. DND takes precedence over CFU abbreviated (or reminder) alert. That is, a call forwarded by CFU shall not notify the subscriber with an abbreviated (or reminder) alert. Emergency Services (--) Calls from an authorized emergency service bureau should not be forwarded. 0 0 Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) -

S.R000--A v Flexible Alerting (FA) Interaction between FA and CFU is beyond the scope of this Standard. The following describes a possible implementation: CFU takes precedence over FA. CFU of the FA Pilot Directory Number shall apply to calls to the Pilot Directory Number when CFU is active. CFU for the FA pilot number takes precedence over CFU of the individual FA members. That is, if both the FA pilot number and an FA member have CFU active, CFU treatment is determined by the FA pilot number. Group Facsimile Service (G Fax) * FC may not be supported (Fixed Registration and Permanent Activation option is supported). Different CFU treatment may be applied for G Fax calls. Message Waiting Notification (MWN) Mobile Access Hunting (MAH) Interaction between MAH and CFU is beyond the scope of this Standard. The following describes a possible implementation: CFU takes precedence over MAH. CFU of the MAH Pilot Directory Number shall apply to calls to the Pilot Directory Number when CFU is active. CFU may apply for individual MAH members with a lower precedence than the MAH group CFU. That is, if both the MAH pilot number and an MAH member have CFU active, CFU treatment is determined by the MAH pilot number. Network Directed System Selection (NDSS) Non-Public Service Mode (NP) Over-the-Air Service Provisioning OTASP takes precedence over CFU. - Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU)

S.R000--A v.0 Password Call Acceptance (PCA) Interaction between PCA and CFU is beyond the scope of this Standard. The following describes a possible implementation: CFU takes precedence over PCA. If an incoming call arrives for a subscriber with PCA and CFU active, incoming calls are redirected by CFU. Preferred Language (PL) Priority Access and Channel Assignment (PACA) CFU takes precedence over PACA. A call to a subscriber with CFU active shall be given CFU treatment. Remote Feature Control (RFC) CFU Registration should not be allowed via RFC to prevent fraudulent use. Selective Call Acceptance (SCA) Interaction between SCA and CFU is beyond the scope of this Standard. The following describes a possible implementation: CFU takes precedence over SCA. If an incoming call arrives for a subscriber with SCA and CFU active, incoming calls are redirected by CFU. Service Negotiation (SN) Subscriber PIN Access (SPINA) CFU feature code requests should be denied for an MS while SPINA is active. Subscriber PIN Intercept (SPINI) Three-Way Calling (WC) User Group (UG) 0 0 Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) -
