Privacy Policy 1.1 We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of Clients and service users. 1.2 This policy applies where we are acting as a data controller or data processor with respect to the personal data of service users on behalf of our clients (in other words, where we help determine the purposes and means of the processing of that personal data). 1.3 We will ask you to consent to us to give your collected details to the relevant client. 1.4 Our personal computer devices incorporate privacy controls which affect how we process your personal data. By using the privacy controls, you can specify whether you would like to receive direct marketing. You can decide these at the point of contact with our Fundraiser, or you can contact the client itself to have your details added, amended or deleted - the contact details are supplied on each client s individual privacy statement which can be found at the end of this document. Providing your personal data to others 3.1 We will only disclose your personal data to the relevant client for membership purposes and to our data transfer company who are responsible for holding the information and sending to the relevant client. Data will never be sent to any other third party. Your data will never be used for any other purpose from Working for Wildlife than to enable the new donor membership. 4. International transfers of your personal data 4.1 Working for Wildlife will never transfer any personal data outside of the UK. 5. Retaining and deleting personal data 5.1 This Section 5 sets out our data retention policies and procedure, which are designed to help ensure that we comply with our legal obligations in relation to the retention and deletion of personal data. 5.2 Personal data that we process for any purpose(s) shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes. 5.3 We will retain your personal data as follows: All data will be retained for a minimum period of 180 days following the date the membership was processed and for a maximum period of 366 days following membership processed date. 5.4 Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 5, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person. Amendments 6.1 We may update this policy from time to time by publishing a latest version on our website. 6.2 You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes to this policy. 7. Your rights 7.1 You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you; provision of such information will be subject to: the payment of a fee (currently fixed at GBP 20.00); and the supply of appropriate evidence of your identity (for this purpose, we will usually accept a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address). 7.2 We may withhold personal information that you request to the extent permitted by law. 7.3 You may instruct us at any time not to process your personal information for marketing purposes. 7.4 In practice, you will usually either expressly agree in advance to our use of your personal information for marketing purposes, or we will provide you with an opportunity to opt out of the use of your personal information for marketing purposes. 8.
