47 This option provides the ability to map the columns from the file to the fields in the system. Upload Candidate(s) Custom Map Fields The fields are separated into Required and Optional sections. The dropdowns in the right column all contain the list of columns contained in the selected file. Use these dropdowns to choose which column from the file should be mapped to which file within the system. The system will attempt to automatically select the mappings for you. All fields in the Required section must be mapped to a column from the file. Not doing so will lead to a validation error as shown below. The fields in the Optional section do not have to be mapped to a column from the file. If those fields are left as "-- Not Mapped --", no values from the file will be saved into any fields within the system. Also, any columns from the file that are not specifically mapped to a system field will not be saved anywhere in the system. User Guide to TAP Standard Subscription 43

48 Regardless of the selected format, once a file is selected and passes any initial validation, you will see the file name listed next to the Select File button and a Continue button will appear giving you the ability to move forward with the process. There are three options: None - if you do not wish to create a group, select this option; however, if there will be any need to do group reporting and/or assignment based on this batch of candidates, specifying a group is necessary. New - to upload candidates into a new group enter a group name. If a duplicate group name is entered, a validation error will appear which prevents you from continuing on with the process. 79 All fields can be updated. Important: Text closed by percentages are called tokens. The token will be populated with data from your account. E.g. %%TesterName%% - this token will populate with the candidate name once the is generated from the system. It is important when editing your templates that you do NOT remove important information such as the assessment link (%%BatteryUrl%%). Any of the tokens can be replaced with text. For example %%Adminphone%% will populate with the phone number on your account. You might choose to replace this with a 1300 or 1800 number or the number of another person within your organisation. In this case the administrator contact details in the body of your might look like: For any additional requirements please contact me %%Adminname%% info@myaccount.com.au Tester Assigned Template Example From Address: Default is %%Admin %%. This will populate with the address of the administrator of the account. Body: In this example the body contains instructions to the candidate and the necessary information for them to complete the assessment. Copy/Paste Warning If you are copying information into the Body of the template then you must first paste the text into a text editor such as Notepad, alternatively you can type in any new information. User Guide to TAP Standard Subscription 75

80 WARNING: Check all your changes carefully. Using this edit/paste option does in some cases, duplicate information. Browser Requirements: We recommend that you include the following information in your Tester Assigned template Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 or 9 in compatibility mode or Firefox 4.0 or later must be used to complete your online testing. If you attempt to complete the testing on any other browser (including Internet Explorer version 6, AOL, Safari or Google Chrome) you may experience technical difficulties. To check which version you are using, click the Help button on your Internet Explorer menu bar and select About Internet Explorer. Insert Token Into Body Click on the dropdown menu to view all available tokens. Select the desired token and click select Insert to include the token in your body. Settings Templates Creating a New Template User Guide to TAP Standard Subscription 76

81 The new template will then be available under Settings > Templates. Templates - New Rich Text Editor We have begun replacing the existing rich text editor with a completely new one. The new editor will provide additional functionality that should accommodate most, if not all, of these requests. The first screen where the rich text editor has been replaced is the Templates screen. The existing copy/paste warning will remain for all templates as the transition takes place. As changes are finalized the warning verbiage will be updated appropriately. Please also note the Create New link during Assignment does not reflect the new rich text editor. The Assignment Screen template will be updated in a future release (TBD). Details of enhancement: Resizing the Editor o By far the request we have received most often is for the ability to resize the editor when working with large amounts of text. The new editor accommodates this request in a couple of different ways. A user can click and drag in the bottom right of the editor to resize or a user can use the icon on the editor to convert it to full screen mode. Undo/Redo Capabilities o Another feature that the previous rich text editor lacked was the ability to quickly undo/redo actions as one would expect. Undo/Redo may now be done within the new editor by using the menu buttons, or by using the standard Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Y keyboard shortcuts that most people are accustomed to. Miscellaneous o o Better "paste from Word" support: this editor provides much better support for pasting text that was copied from Microsoft Word. This has been another top request from several clients who prefer to first create documents/text in Word and then paste them into the editor on the screen. While no web-based rich text editor does a perfect job of handling pasting text from word, this editor is much improved over the previous version. Better browser compatibility: the previous editor had several pieces of functionality that sometimes behaved differently depending on the browser being used. While pan 2.0 has corrected most of these items over time, this editor provides a more reliable support for all browsers. System messages Add a message to the Dashboard for your Candidates to see if the Candidate Account Creation assignment process is utilised. User Guide to TAP Standard Subscription 77
