1 PRIVACY POLICY Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee (acting through the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and the Argentine Olympic Committee, hereinafter BAYOGOC, we or us ), is the organizer of the third summer edition of the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games (hereinafter YOG 2018 ). BAYOGOC endeavors to protect the personal information of all users of the YOG 2018 website, mobiles applications, platforms, newsletters and any other information service managed by BAYOGOC (hereinafter YOG 2018 Digital Services ) in accordance with applicable laws. This privacy policy explains what information about you is collected in relation to your use of the YOG 2018 Digital Services, in particular if you decide to register as a spectator, or as a volunteer or subscribe to other services offered by the YOG 2018 Digital Services and how this information is processed by BAYOGOC. Due to the specific nature of certain services provided by BAYOGOC, in particular those related to the attendance to the YOG 2018 (i.e. for spectators and accredited persons), additional terms and conditions may be applicable and will be brought to your attention in due course. 1.Information a) Information you provide to BAYOGOC When you register on the YOG 2018 Digital Services, we may ask you to provide us certain personal information about you. This information is necessary for us to identify you as a registered user of the YOG 2018 Digital Services and is mandatory to complete the registration process. For certain services offered through the YOG 2018 Digital Services, we also offer you the possibility to provide us with additional information (not mandatory for the registration), if you want us to personalize your use of the YOG 2018 Digital Services. In some cases, we may ask you to provide us with information regarding any disabilities you may have, which can be considered as sensitive data or special categories of personal data pursuant to applicable laws, but only as necessary as required for operational purposes (e.g. for spectators to access certain areas). - Mandatory items: nationality, address, gender, password, name, surname, date of birth, telephone number, place of residence (city, country), country of birth, nationality, document type and number, issuing country, parents personal data, emergency contact, language and any other information completed by users which is considered as mandatory in the YOG 2018 Digital Services. - Optional items: information required in the specific YOG 2018 Digital Services, such as hobbies, skills, previous experience, sport information any other personal data stipulated as optional in the specific YOG 2018 Digital Services. b) Information Collected automatically We may implement automatic tracking processes (cookies) gathering information (such as browser type, operating systems, IP address and the date and time of access) on the YOG 2018 Digital Services to help improve its content, customize it based on your preferences and conduct research on traffic and audience. Cookies may also be used to store login information (such as your

2 usernames and passwords) so that you don t have to log in at each session. You may block cookies by changing your browser settings. c) Publicly available information YOG 2018 Digital Services may aggregate certain publicly available information (e.g. texts, photos and videos), whose public information may be made available by you or third parties from publicly accessible sources, e.g. content from accounts opened by third parties on third party social media services such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. d) Age limitation: YOG 2018 Digital Services are intended for people who are 13 years old or older and we will not knowingly collect personal information about users below that age. If you are aged 13 to 15 years old, you can only use the YOG 2018 Digital Services with the prior authorisation from a parent or guardian. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information without parental or guardian consent, we will take steps to delete this information and close the minor s account. User s rights Pursuant to Argentina s Personal Data Protection Act (Ley Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales), you shall have the right to decide if you allow BAYOGOC and/or the service providers acting on its behalf to process, including storing and transferring your personal data, collecteprd through the YOG 2018 Digital Services in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The exercise of the aforementioned right shall be manifested by your express consent, reflected by ticking the box, which gives authorization for BAYOGOC and/or the service providers acting on its behalf to process your personal information. Should you deny the authorization for BAYOGOC to process your personal information, you will not be able to register to the YOG 2018 Digital Services and your personal information will not be processed by BAYOGOC (subject to the specific situation described in Section 3 below). With your express consent, BAYOGOC may transfer certain of your personal data collected during the registration process (including in particular first name, last name, address, date of birth, gender, country, preferred language for communication and sport interests) to the International Olympic Committee (the IOC ) if you want to receive promotional communications form the IOC about the Youth Olympic Games, the IOC and the Olympic Movement in general. In case you accept to transfer your personal information to the IOC, such information will be processed by the IOC in accordance with IOC s privacy policy available at You may unsubscribe from IOC s communications at any time. Your decision not to consent to transfer your personal data to the IOC or to unsubscribe from the IOC s communication, shall not prevent you from registering in the YOG 2018 Digital Services.

3 In addition, you shall have the following rights: i. Decide whether or not you desire to receive newsletters and promotional information from BAYOGOC and/or the IOC by ticking in the corresponding box. ii. Unsubscribe (from part or all communications) which will have the effect of removing your personal information from the database. iii. Access, information, correction, update, and deletion of your personal data. Pursuant to Argentina s Personal Data Protection Act, exercise the right to access them free of charge, at least every six months, unless a legitimate interest to do so is proven pursuant to Section 14, Subsection 3, of Act No iv. Right to receive your personal data, which you provided us with, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability). In case you choose to withdraw your consent or not accept the terms of this privacy policy, you will not be able to use the services provided by the Digital Platforms of BAYOGOC for the organization of the YOG. If you wish to unsubscribe from the newsletters you shall follow the instructions stipulated in the newsletters or the specific instructions established in any other terms and conditions related to in the relevant YOG 2018 Digital Services. Collection and transfer of personal information without user s consent Notwithstanding other provisions of this Privacy Policy and in accordance with article 5 of the Argentina s Personal Data Protection Act, BAYOGOC may process your personal data without requesting your prior consent in the following situations: a) The data is obtained from unrestricted public access sources; b) The data is collected for the exercise of functions proper to the powers of the State or by virtue of a legal obligation; c) The data is limited to name, national identity document, tax or social security identification, occupation, date of birth and address; In addition, pursuant to Argentina s Personal Data Protection Act BAYOGOC shall have the right to transfer the register s personal information without requesting your prior consent in the following situations: a) The transfer is carried out directly between government authorities, to the extent of compliance with their respective competencies; b) An information dissociation procedure has been applied, so that the data owners are unidentifiable. As such, it is likely that consent should be reflected but other grounds may also be applicable (e.g. necessity to enter into an agreement, substantive public interest, legitimate interest of BAYOGOC, etc.).

Authorized purposes of data collection Your Personal Information will be processed by BAYOGOC and the entities mentioned herein for the following purposes (hereinafter the Authorized Purposes ): i. To facilitate your use of the YOG 2018 Digital Services, enable your registration and the management of your user account. ii. To maintain and develop the YOG 2018 Digital Services, send you communications, including by , about YOG 2018 activities and the activities of the Olympic Movement partners, while offering you the possibility to unsubscribe from such communications at any time. iii. To gather statistics to help diagnose problems and enhance your experience of the YOG 2018 Digital Services. iv. To ensure the security of the YOG 2018 Digital Services and that such Services are used in compliance with the applicable terms of services and applicable laws. v. To provide you with services you may have requested. vi. To communicate with you, including by answering your requests, sending you communications related to your user account and the applicable terms of service and, if you have opted-in to BAYOGOC s or IOC s services, send you promotional communications (including by ) about the YOG 2018, BAYOGOC s and/or IOC s activities and the activities of the Olympic Movement and its partners, while offering you the possibility to unsubscribe such promotional communications at any time. vii. To comply with legal obligations, pursuant to which we reserve the right to share your personal information with judiciary or law enforcement authorities if we are required to do so under applicable laws. viii. Any other purposes to which you may expressly agree. Personal information shall not be collected or used for any other purposes but the ones established in this privacy policy. In the event of any new purposes or modification of an existing purpose, BAYOGOC shall notify you and obtain your additional consent as required by Argentina s Personal Data Protection Act. 5. Processing of Users Personal Information by BAYOGOC & other authorized parties. BAYOGOC and service providers acting on its behalf or any other organization that collects personal information in the name of BAYOGOC will process your personal information for the fulfilment of the Authorized Purposes. If you register to obtain certain services (e.g. as spectators, volunteers, accredited persons), additional terms and conditions may apply, and your personal information may be shared with the IOC, other service providers and third parties collaborating with BAYOGOC in order to allow you to enjoy such services (as indicated in the additional terms and conditions). Your Personal Information will be processed in compliance with the laws applicable in Argentina and will be stored primarily in Argentina. Depending on the additional terms and conditions

5 referred to in the paragraph above, Applicant Personal Information may also be transferred to third parties located outside Argentina, in particular to the IOC located in Switzerland, which will process such Applicant Personal Information in compliance with laws applicable in their respective jurisdiction. In the event you expressly agreed to receive promotional communication by the IOC (as indicated in the Authorized Purposes), your personal information will be processed in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at the following website: 6. Period for Handling & Retaining Personal Information We will retain your information only for the duration necessary for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy or as required to meet our legal requirements. When we destroy personal information, we implement measures to ensure that the information cannot be restored or regenerated. BAYOGOC shall retain all your personal information until December Nevertheless, the content may be used by the Entities established herein during and after the YOG 2018, only in relation to the performance and promotion of the YOG 2018, the Olympic Games or the Olympic Movement. 7. Contacting BAYOGOC and/or the IOC Whenever you desire to ask any question regarding the processing of your personal Information you shall deliver your request to BAYOGOC at the following address: Alsina 1659, City of Buenos Aires or to You can address any complaints in relation to the processing of your Personal lnformation that has not been addressed by BAYOGOC within a reasonable deadline to Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública. In case you have accepted the transfer of your personal data to the IOC to receive promotional communications from the IOC, you can contact the IOC to exercise your legal rights, as mentioned in the IOC s privacy policy at the following address : privacy@olympic.org 8. Security of data The processing of personal data, including the international transfer thereof, will be subject to the security measures established in the national regulations (law , decree / 2001 and DNPDP provisions). Notwithstanding the foregoing, as Law 1,845 expressly provides we will adopt all necessary and appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent adulteration, loss, destruction and treatment or unauthorized access to the data included in your files, records, databases or databases. These measures are implemented to guarantee an appropriate level of security in relation to the technology applied and its advances, with the nature of the data treated and the risks inherent in the treatment. 9. Changes to this privacy policy We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy, at any time.
