2 . CREATING AN ACCOUNT Access to Public Login can be located at us/etrakit3/ Click on Setup an Account. 2
3 All items with asterisks * must be filled out. 3
4 Use the link to permits to add your permit to your dashboard. Once you add your permit, you will be able to schedule inspections. 4
5 Type in your permit number. It must be an exact match. 5
6 Permit Number Click on Link to add to your Dashboard. 6
7 This X will unlink the permit from your dashboard. 7
8 Identifying and Navigating the Dashboard This screen allows access to permit information, scheduling inspections and the ability to pay fees all from one interface. First: My Active Permits You can click on your permit number to take you to that permit. Click on the address to take you to the parcel information record for the property. Click on the blue fees to add to the shopping cart and to pay fees. Click on the blue diamond and it will take you to the etrakit Map. To enter into a permit you must double click on the permit number. Once the permit populates, you will be able to review the status of the permit, review attachments, Community Development reviews, check on fees and schedule inspections after the permit is issued. 8
9 Identify and Navigate the Permit Link On this page you can view all your permit information. By Clicking on the various tabs above you can view your Site Info, Contacts, Fees, Inspections, Conditions and Reviews. For example, under the Inspection Tab, you can see inspection results as well as schedule your inspections, and under your Review Tab you can see your review comments in real time, see who is performing the review and when it is due. Attachments that are viewable or available for download will be displayed here. 9
10 Under the Reviews tab you can view the name of your reviewer, that status of your review, the date it was submitted, the date it was completed and the date it is due. You can sort the reviews by clicking the column header title. The best way to get the latest reviews is to sort by the Submitted Date. Clicking the More Info tab, you will find the Reviewers notes. 10
11 Scheduling an Inspection To schedule an inspection, just click on Request Inspection. Here you will see the date the inspection was scheduled. Once your inspection has been completed, the results will be displayed here. Clicking More Info after your inspection is complete will show the inspector s notes. 11
12 SCHEDULING AN INSPECTION Continued Please ensure this is the correct information. This is whom the Inspector will contact if there are questions. This is the Notes section for the inspector. Keep in mind any notes here are viewable to the General Public, so you will want to refrain from lock box codes or hidden key locations. Verify this is the correct Inspection Type. You will need to submit your inspection request prior to 6 pm for the next business day. 12
13 SCHEDULING AN INSPECTION Continued An will be sent to your address on file confirming your inspection request. 13
14 CANCELLING AN INSPECTION TO CANCEL OR MAKE CHANGES TO AN INSPECTION THAT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED, PLEASE SEND AN TO Please send prior to 7 a.m. of the morning of the requested inspection date. 14
15 Applying For a New Building or Location Permit After logging on to your account, Select Apply/New Permit from the Home page or My Dashboard You must read and agree to the disclaimer 15
16 Step 1 Permit Information Start by choosing a Permit Type. Enter a Short Description and Job Value. Enter all or part of the site location into the location search box then click search. You must select the correct address from the search results. Select if you are the Property Owner or Contractor When submitting plans, please submit as a file not as individual pages. Please see the Electronic Submission Guidelines link on the home page of etrakit. Attachments can be included in the application when required. Click the Select button to browse your computer and find the attachment and select the attachment name that will appear in the file /name box. Enter a brief description and then click on the upload button to save the attachment with your application. The rest of the application depends on the permit type you selected. Each step has required fields that need to be completed before moving to the next. 16 When you complete a step, your responses will be saved so you can leave and come back at a later time to continue.
17 Step 2 - Contact Information Enter all Contact Information 17
18 Step 3 - Review and Submit Review all of the information you have entered. If you need to make corrections, use the edit button next to that area to make the corrections. Some permit types require a nonrefundable deposit prior to being created and you will be taken to the Shopping Cart prior to that permit being created. Other permit types do not require a deposit prior to being reviewed. Select Submit after review. 18
19 Step 4 - Checkout/Confirmation On this page, you ll see this confirmation. When you click on View Permit, you will see the permit and it will be in an E- application status. 19
20 When the permit reflects an issued status. Your permit may be printed by clicking on the printer icon. Once the status is updated as Ready to Issue you ll be notified by to pay the fees. Once all fees are paid, our office is then notified and we proceed with completing the permit. 20
21 Paying Fees Select the Fees Due for the permit you wish to pay. Click here to uncheck or check all fees. Proceed to Checkout. This will give you a chance to verify the fees being paid before proceeding to official payments. 21
22 Paying Fees (cont.) This will redirect you from etrakit to Official Payments. You will need to follow the instructions to complete payment. Please print and save a copy of the receipt for your records. 22
