2 page 1 Marketing Portal User s Guide 1. Welcome to AdVestors Marketing Portal User s Guide! Please enter: hvamarketing.com into your browser s URL address area. Once open, enter your personalized User ID (Fig. A) and your password (Fig. B). Fig. A Fig. B Fig. C Click on My Profile to update your information. This is critical and should be done prior to placing an order. You are taken directly to 2. the tab called Catalog where you will start your order only AFTER completing your profile. Go into My Profile in the top right corner (Fig. C). STOP Did you get into the My Profile section yet? Yeah, you really have to do this part. Details are on the next page.

3 page 2 If you ve already completed the Profile section outlined in another User s Guide, you may skip this step and proceed to page 3. Take some time in your 3. profile to correctly enter all of the information that is requested. The address marked with an asterisk is the address that order notifications are sent to. (Fig. D) The address entered below is the address that will appear on your printed materials and the one that your customers will see. The two addresses can be the same if you choose. Information that you complete here (Fig. E) will appear in orders that you place and will save you considerable time and effort in the future. Some areas (indicated with a padlock on the right of the column) are prefilled out by AdVestors (Fig. F). You ll need to contact AdVestors if you wish to make a change or add information in the padlocked areas. Check the addresses shown at the bottom (Fig. G). These addresses are for billing and shipping purposes and if they are not correct, now is the time to fix them. Fig. D When you place an order, a notification will be sent to this address. The address entered below, is the address that your customers will see. Fig. E Fill this out as much as possible. It appears later in your order. Fig. F Some of this may be pre-filled out by AdVestors. Contact them if you need to make a change. Its important that this page be completed to the best of your ability BEFORE placing your first order. When finished, select Apply Changes. Click Save & Continue to get back to your Catalog page. Fig. G These addresses are for billing and shipping purposes and now is the time to fix them if they are not correct.

4 page 3 4. Once you ve saved your profile, you will be brought back to your Catalog page. This page may eventually contain several products to choose from but for this particular guide, will focus on Letters. You may select Letters in any of three places (Fig. H). Fig. H Select Letters in one of three places. Once you are in the 5. Letters section, you have a choice of two types of products. For this demonstration select Letters - Buy A List (BAL) (Fig. I) Buy a List means that you do not yet have mailing data and will need to purchase a data list before an actual letter can be mailed. 5 page 4 6. Here, you ll select which Buy A List product that you prefer. Click on one of three places to choose Recommended (Fig. J). Fig. J Select one of three places to start. AdVestors currently 7. provides you with several products to choose from in the Buy A List section. We ll demonstrate the steps to order a Data List for Letter-All Cash without Property Address (BAL) letter (Fig. K). See the information below the product for a brief description of the letter as well as get an idea of the costs involved in ordering your list. 6 page 5 8. This page allows you to set the criteria for the data you are purchasing. While setting parameters for your new data, you ll also be able to view what it might look like on the letter. Start by selecting the date that you want to appear printed on the letter, add a note in a script font to the bottom and insert a BBB logo if you are eligible for one (Fig. L). Determine how the data will be selected; by zip codes, counties, cities or from a map area. Indicate the types of properties that you are searching for and enter a dollar figure to narrow the search. You have the opportunity to add optional property information, split data lists and drops and then add your phone number. Under additional information, you ll be able to suppress records that you ve previously used, have a copy of the letter sent to yourself, add special instructions and contact information. ALL FIELDS WITH AN ASTERISK(*) MUST HAVE AN ENTRY. Once completed, only now can you select the green button with the white arrows to preview your order. Determine data parameters and add your contact information at the bottom After clicking on the green button, you ll see a copy of the order you ve 9. placed plus a sample of the letter and a third page showing a sample of the envelope. You can use the two magnifying glasses to enlarge or reduce your sample. When you clicked on the green button, a PDF icon (Fig. M) appeared next to it. You can select this icon to save a PDF copy of your letter to your hard drive. Fig. M PDF icon can be selected to save a digital copy of your order to your hard drive. 10. You ll need to select a quantity for your data list (Fig. N). You ll see that your minimum order is for 1550 records. Directly above your entry, get an idea of your costs by reviewing the pricing chart. Proceed with your order by clicking on Add to Shopping Cart. Fig. N Enter the quantity of records here before clicking on Add to Shopping Cart.

7 page 6 You ll see your 11. data order in your shopping cart ready for checkout. At this point, you have one item, but you can go back to the Catalog to create more if you wish. If you are ready to check out, simply click Checkout to move to Shipping. The shipping page is designed to be used for collateral items and not for letters and postcards. Please click Continue to bypass this shipping page and go directly to Billing. 12. Information that you entered into your profile will appear here in Billing. You can make changes here if you wish.

8 page 7 You ll be asked to approve your order 13. here but if you have any changes to be made, you ll need to Back up a screen or two. If all looks correct, click on the small Order Approval button at the bottom left (Fig. O. This will turn the Complete Order button green (Fig. P) and you can select it. At this point, your order has been placed and you ll see an order summary that you can print for your records. You ll also receive an notifying you that the order has been placed. IMPORTANT TIP To go back a screen, use this button and not your browser s Back arrow. Fig. O Must click here before completing order! This indicates that you ve approved your order.
