5 Overview The Oracle CRM On Demand Release 31 Product Release Notes outline the known issues, the customer impacts, and changes to the Oracle CRM On Demand user interface and behavior. The Release Notes also list the defects and behaviors that have been fixed in this release. To review the features included in this release, see Oracle CRM On Demand Administrator Preview Guide for Release 31, which is available at the Oracle CRM On Demand Training and Support Center portal, in the Release Information tab under What s New, as well as the Transfer of Information (TOI) recordings which is available at My Oracle Support. Known Issues Analytics Internet Explorer 11 Error When Downloading Reports with Names in Japanese Due to a URL rendering issue in Internet Explorer 11, when downloading analytics reports with names in Japanese, the file name contains incorrect characters. This is an open bug with Microsoft Internet Explorer 11: As an alternative solution, use other browsers such as Firefox or Google Chrome to download analytics reports that have names in Japanese. Usability Unable to Use the Favorite Contacts List When Associating a Contact to Account Calls and Custom Objects Users cannot search and associate a contact from the Favorite Contacts list in the following scenarios.» When associating a contact to account calls» When associating a contact to Custom Objects as M: M associations. For example, when adding a contact in the Contact Related Information section of Custom Object 01, users are not able to see the Favorite Contacts list in the Contact Association window. Note that this does not apply to associating the Contact to Custom Objects using the Contact field on Custom Objects However, in such scenarios, users can use other contact lists to search and associate a contact, even if the contact is marked as favorite. 4 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 31 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE

6 Customer Impact Administration The Manage Users and Access Privilege has been Split into Two Privileges Prior to Release 31, the Manage Users and Access privilege controlled whether a role had access to manage users, access profiles, roles, and so on using the User Management and Access Control page. In Release 31, this privilege no longer exists, and has been split into the following privileges:» Manage Users» Manage Roles and Access After upgrading to Release 31, the existing roles which previously had the Manage Users and Access privilege are automatically granted the Manage Users and Manage Roles and Access privileges. New roles or existing roles without the Manage Users and Access privilege are not automatically granted the new privileges. Administrators must manually select these privileges if required for these roles. Also, some areas require both the Manage Users and Manage Roles and Access privileges for a role to continue to be able to manage these areas. All privileges required for the different areas in Oracle CRM On Demand are updated in Oracle CRM On Demand Online Help for Release 31. Integration Export of Field Level Attachments of Custom Objects using Data Export Assistant Prior to Release 31, exporting attachments using Data Export Assistant did not include the field-level attachments for Custom Objects In Release 31, on the Data Export Assistant page, three new checkboxes are introduced in the All Attachment Data section:» Custom Objects 01 Field Attachment» Custom Objects 02 Field Attachment» Custom Objects 03 Field Attachment If a user selects these checkboxes and proceeds with the export, the field level attachments on the selected Custom Objects are exported. Usability The Attachment URL Character Limit has been Increased from 200 to 1,999 by Default In Release 31, the Attachment URL character limit has been increased from 200 to 1,999, by default. If you are using Oracle CRM On Demand Web services to retrieve Attachments, then ensure that your integrations can accommodate the increased Attachment URL character limit. Also review any integration or process that involves the Attachment export file to avoid any issues after upgrading to Release 31. The Search for a User in Calendar Using Non-Optimized Search Fields is Available by Default Prior to Release 31, users were able to search for another user s calendar using only the standard User fields that were optimized. In this release, users can by default search for other users by filtering on any User fields. This feature makes searching for a specific user from a long list of users who have shared their calendars easy to search, Time Zone - (GMT) Casablanca, Monrovia Has Been Split into Two Time Zones In Release 31, the time zone (GMT) Casablanca, Monrovia which observes Day Light Saving (DST) has been split in to (GMT) Casablanca which observes DST and (GMT) Monrovia which does not observe DST. If you change your company or user time zone to GMT (Monrovia), then you must make a request to Oracle Customer Care to run a full ETL on your pod instance. Workflow Ability to Translate s in the Send Workflow Action is Available by Default The ability to translate s configured in Send workflow actions is available by default. There are specific rules around the language the recipients receive if translations for the are provided in the workflow action. The content for the Send workflow action existing prior to Release 31 becomes the content for the company s default language. If the action is not updated with translations for any of the non-company default languages, then Oracle CRM On Demand sends content for the company default language to all the recipients. This is to ensure existing behavior for Send workflow action is maintained after the upgrade. For more information, see the Oracle CRM On Demand Online Help for Release 31. Fixed Issues The following defects have been fixed in Oracle CRM On Demand Release 31. BUG NUMBER PRODUCT AREA DESCRIPTION OF BEHAVIOR PRIOR TO FIX Administration The Picklist values are no longer displayed as per configured with Picklist Value Group after a validation error occurs on save Administration User Sign In History Records greater than 90 days are not purged Analytics Account Team optimized custom picklist fields show code instead of values in Account Team history reports Analytics Contact deleted during merge is still showing up in historical reporting Analytics Country field from billing address extended folder is not displayed in the company default language Analytics CustomNum63 and CustomNum64 wrongly appear in custom fields folder in Households subject area Analytics CustomText4 to CustomText9 fields of Related accounts truncated to 40 chars in reports Analytics Fields AvgCustomNum3, AvgCustomNum5 and CustomNum5 are wrongly included in custom percent folder under Asset Analysis subject area Analytics Opportunity optimized custom number fields show % symbol in Service Request subject area Analytics Opportunity Team Split % field is displayed as an integer in reports instead of as a number Analytics Service Request records associated to Activity records are not showing up in historical reports Analytics The average of custom numeric fields is not calculated correctly in the Households subject area Analytics The currency symbol is missing for Current Quota value in the Account Revenue subject area Analytics The Estimated Close Date in Lead Analysis subject area is not respecting locale changes. 7 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 31 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE

9 BUG NUMBER PRODUCT AREA DESCRIPTION OF BEHAVIOR PRIOR TO FIX Analytics The number of invitees metric is not calculated correctly after invitees are deleted from an event Analytics The Top 10 Page Views report contains incorrect data for non-enu companies CRM An uncaught exception error is displayed when a user is trying to view a private appointment in the calendar view of a shared calendar user and the Delegated By field on the appointment is blank CRM Inconsistent behavior with Workflow Update Action on the Revenue record type CRM With the Enable Automatic Update of Opportunity Totals option enabled, the Total Premium and Total Asset Values were not auto-populating Customization Activity Insert and Activity Update on Web Services v1.0 fails when the Opportunity s External Unique ID length is more than 30 characters Customization When creating a record with a concatenated field containing cascading picklists, the cascading picklists does not function as expected Framework Display name of fields for one company is displayed as the display names of fields for another company on the same pod Integration Exporting attachments of Custom Objects using Data Export Assistant does not export the file associated to the 'Attachment' field of the parent record. See Customer Impact > Integration > Export of Field Level Attachments of Custom Objects using Data Export Assistant section for more information Integration Using Data Import Assistant to upsert records, users are unable to set address fields to blank Integration While importing Contacts using Data Import Assistant, an unnecessary radio button option Not Applicable is shown as the default duplicate record check method Layout Split % field in Opportunity Team related information section is displayed in grey color, though the field is editable Layout Unable to move related information applets from Available Related Information to Displayed Related Information in the Related Information Layout in Personal Detail Page Layout. This issue is encountered only in the IE browser when the compatibility view is turned off Outlook Integration Outlook Integration Outlook Integration Accent characters for Picklist values is not displayed correctly and appear as??. An error is presented when trying to attach an with 93 recipients. An error occurs when trying to login to OEI Provisioning The City of Birth Picklist values in Security Questions were listed in non-alphabetical order REST API When trying to retrieve the AccountTerritory field from an Opportunity, a 500 http response was returned UI/Usability Deleted Items list and Service Allotment list does not show the correct records in the list UI/Usability UI/Usability Editing Event record fields which are present in a dynamic layout and were not present in the Event creation page layout, the Application does not save the values entered in the fields. There is a mismatch between the batch delete and list record counts when batch delete is initiated and a quick filter option using the filter toggle icon is applied on the list. Value below 1 in a custom number field does not display correct decimal values in the Polish Locale UI/Usability When searching within an association window, paging the list of results does not work UI/Usability When switching to a Modern Theme with the Show Record Type Links in the Footer Section enabled, Internet Explorer would display a mixed content alert UI/Usability When the owner of an appointment is in-line edited, the Users multi-association pop up on the Appointment still shows the previous owner of appointment and not the new owner UI/Usability When trying to define custom colors for Activities, the background colors cannot be edited UI/Usability Without the All Fields in Search and Lists privilege enabled, custom fields would not prepopulate under the Enter Search Criteria section Web Services Admin Services An error is thrown on setting a field as required using the Page Layout Administrative Web services upsert operation Workflow The Send workflow action does not send the when the new syntax [{ }] is used to define the address. Documentation Oracle CRM On Demand REST API Developer s Guide The corrected content for the REST API Request Rate Limits topic in this guide is as follows: The Oracle CRM On Demand REST API resources can be shared by multiple users. Oracle CRM On Demand limits the number of REST API requests that a user can execute during a defined time period. The REST request rate limit is 30 requests for each minute. When a user's session is established for the first time or re-established (after a session expires or a session is ended by the user signing out), the REST request rate count starts at zero, and it increments by one with each REST request made. The count returns to zero at the end of each defined time period which is one minute and is not a rolling time period. If the rate limit is exceeded, then the following error message is provided in response to subsequent REST API requests: 9 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 31 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE
