1 To Setup your Business id in MacOS X El Capitan Mail (POP) To find MacOS version please visit: Apple Support macos version Depending on your MAC OS version, your screens may appear a bit different, but the setting will be the same. If you still have some issue please have further questions about configuring Mac Mail for any reason, please visit: Apple - Support - Mail section 1. Start Apple Mail. 2. If you have already set up an account in Apple Mail, click Mail => Add Account in the menu OR Click Mail => Preferences => Under Accounts => Click on + If you are using Apple Mail for the first time, you can skip this step, as apple mail may prompt you to add an account please see step 3.

2 3. In the Mail account provider window, choose the option Other Mail Account... and click Continue. 4. The Add a Mail account window will appear. Enter below details : Full name : User defined address: Complete id Password : above id password Then, click On Next or Continue * using Apple Mail for the first time you will get Sign In

3 5. Enter below details for Incoming POP server: Account Type: Select IMAP Mail server: imap.rediffmailpro.com User Name: Complete id Password: Password of the above id Click on Next 6. Under Incoming Mail Server Info: Without SSL OR With SSL Port : 143 OR Port: 993 Use SSL : Uncheck OR Use SSL : Check Authentication : Password Click on Next

4 7. Enter below details for Outgoing SMTP Server: SMTP Server : smtp.rediffmailpro.com User Name: Complete id Password: Above id s password Click on Next 8. Under Incoming Mail Server Info: Without SSL OR With SSL Port : 587 OR Port: 465 Use SSL : Uncheck OR Use SSL : Check Authentication : Password

5 9. Your Mail account is now set up. Now you will see your new account in the list with any other mail accounts. However, to avoid any future issues, continue with these few tweaks below. Congratulations! You have setup mailbox successfully! In case you face some issue while sending mail or receiving mail. Please re-check the below settings 10. Go on Mail => Select Preferences

6 11. Choose your new account from the list on the left. Click on your mail, Under Account Information Tab: Please Check below details entered are correct or not: Click/Select Enable this account Account Type: IMAP Description : User-defined address : Complete Full name : User-defined Incoming mail server: imap.rediffmailpro.com User Name: Complete id Password: Above id s password Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.rediffmailpro.com Tick/Select Use only this server TLS Certificate: None

7 12. Click on your mail, Under Mailbox Behaviors Tab: Open the Mailbox Behaviors tab and see to it every folder should be checked Store sent messages on server. So that folder get sync with server.

Click on you mail, Under Advance tab: Uncheck the box next to Automatically detect and maintain account settings Check the box next to Include when automatically checking for new messages User-define to Check or Uncheck Remove copy from server after retrieving Without SSL OR With SSL Port no : 143 OR Port no: 993 SSL : Uncheck OR SSL : Check Check the box next to Allow insecure authentication.

9 14. Now we will check for Outgoing mail server : Click the dropdown arrow on Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), and choose Edit SMTP Server List 15. Under Account Information tab in SMTP Description : User defined Server name: smtp.rediffmailpro.com TLS Certificate : None

Under Advance tab in SMTP: Uncheck the box next to Automatically detect and maintain account settings Without SSL OR With SSL Port no : 587 OR Port no: 465 SSL : Uncheck OR SSL : Check Authentication : Select Password Check the box next to Allow insecure authentication. Username : Complete id Password: Above id s password 17. Close and Save settings when prompted. *****Done*****

11 If Apple Mail does not try to send or receive for your account after verifying these settings, it may be because the account is still offline. We request you to select take your accounts online. If you still have trouble, please restart Mac Mail Client. If that doesn t work, the Mail Connection can provide useful information that will help you (or us) troubleshoot the problem. In particular, if you can click Show Detail in the Connection Doctor Window, then copy-and-paste the entire technical detail to our Support id with the screenshot of the error, we can usually use that to figure out exactly what s wrong.
