1 Manually Set Up with Microsoft Outlook Learn how to configure Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, or 2016 for use with your 1&1 Mail Basic account using the IMAP Protocol. Follow the instructions below to sync your account with Outlook. Before you begin, you will need to have Outlook already installed on your computer and a icoffice 2017 onwards account supplied. Step 1 On your computer, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel. Step 2 If using Windows Vista, Windows 7 or above, type Mail into the search box at the topright of the Control Panel window to quickly find the Mail icon. Then, double-click it. Search for Mail Step 3 Click the Accounts button. Mail Setup overview Step 4 Under the tab, click the New button to add your 1&1 account.

3 Step 6 Select the POP or IMAP type of account and then click the Next button.

Enter mail2.gridhost.co.uk as the Incoming mail server and under Outgoing mail server (SMTP) enter mail2.gridhost.co.uk (B). Enter your full ic office supplied address 9 Basic address as the User Name and the account's password (C). Check the box for Remember password if you do not want to enter your password every time you check or send your s from this account. 9 IPHONE SETUP use these settings for your I phone Client Configuration Use the following recommended settings to configure your desktop application or to access Webmail. If you are using multiple devices to access the same mailbox (phone, PC and tablet for instance) we recommend IMAP over POP. This will leave a copy of your messages on the server, including folder structure and sent items which are then accessible on every device and via Webmail. Please note that we do advise regularly backing up your account and archiving old messages to maintain good performance. Please note that you will need to enable 'SMTP Authentication' in your mail client which can usually be enabled under the outgoing (SMTP) server settings. It should be set to 'password' mode and use the same details as your incoming mailserver. 21 Turn Mail syncing ON. Optionally, you may also turn on Notes syncing. Sync with IMAP Step 12
