The Service Express subscription gives you access to limited information that is also provided to the Honda Dealerships. Information such as: Service Bulletins, Service News, Service Manual Diagnostic and Repair Procedures, Advanced Diagnostics (Enhanced OBD II) Information, Body Repair Manuals, Electrical Troubleshooting Schematics, etc. A minimal 3-day subscription ($20) of Service Express is needed to access the area that allows you to purchase the J2534 Software Subscription data OR CONTACT HELM at (949) The initial application and data will be mailed on CD. Periodic data updates will be released via. the address provided during the subscription process thru the calendar year. Honda Service Express Go to and click on subscribe to Service Express. Choosing either one will give you the data for both. Or call the number listed for the CD. Scroll down until you find Honda-supplied J2534 Reprogramming Software and enter the quantity. CD should auto-start. If it does not start automatically, go to Start, Run, Browse, point to CD drive and then click on Setup, Open and Ok. Click on Next. Orig. Date: 12/12/99 Rev. In the will be a link to click on. Upon clicking on this link you will see the following screens: Click on Save. Save in: Desktop as shown. Locate newly downloaded zip file onto Desktop and double-click on it. If you have WinZip, the following steps will be taken. Click Next. Click Next. Click Next. Click Unzip Now. Orig. Simply follow the applicable screen prompts and proceed as indicated. This process is subject to change w/o notice. Click on the HONDA icon in the Reprogramming/Analyze section. 12 Honda On-Car Reprogramming Guide Make sure Ignition Switch in the VEHICLE is in the On position and click on OK. It is strongly recommended that a Battery Test be conducted. Read the notes and click on Battery Test. In addition, please be sure to read additional information regarding battery stabilization in the Honda Pass-Thru application. 13 Honda On-Car Reprogramming Guide Read the Legal Terms and Conditions of the Honda Reprogramming Software and click on I agree to proceed. READ! IMPORTANT! Carefully read and understand the steps noted on the screens in the HONDA Pass-Thru application. Perform any required actions at this point. Click on Start at the bottom-left of the screen. READ! 15 Honda On-Car Reprogramming Guide See Current Program and Update Selected to see the Program ID and Part No. changes that will be performed. Click on Yes to proceed with the update. READ! IMPORTANT! Please be sure to read the steps noted on this screen for important information. Click Update to begin the module update. READ! IMPORTANT! Please be sure to read the steps noted on this screen. Turn the vehicles ignition key off and then on within 60 seconds. When the Green and Yellow lights glow steadily, the programming is complete.
