5 2. System Requirements The following equipment is required for proper system configuration and operation 2.1. Computer Hardware Computer running Microsoft Windows XP Professional (32/64 Bit), XP Home, or Vista (32/64 Bit), or Windows 7 (32/64 Bit) Dual Core Processor 2 GB Ram for Windows XP 3 GB Ram for Windows Vista or Windows GB Hard Drive Audio Speakers Internet connectivity This Computer should be dedicate for use only 2.2. MOTOTRBO Radio Equipment MOTOTRBO Mobile XPR4500 or 4300 (Firmware R or higher) Connected to PC AC Power Supply HPN4007 USB Cable PMKN4010 MOTOTRBO Repeater XPR8300 (If Required) MOTOTRBO Portables XPR6500 or XPR6550 MOTOTRBO Mobiles XPR4500 or XPR4550 (Use RMN5065 Key Pad Mic) Mobile connected to PC should not be used for voice dispatch Document: Simple Gateway User Guide.doc Page 5 of 28 2/12/2010

6 2.3. Create Public Domain It will be necessary to create a domain name and public address. Internal corporate system may or may not be suitable for use with. Check with your IT personnel as to your specific requirements. Create a domain name (e.g. simpletextmessaging.com). Create a address (e.g. allradios@simpletextmessaging.com). The address should be associated with a Catch All Box.
