1 1. Steps to Activate Exostar User ID (SAM ID) for CLMS Site User a. Locate the one sent from Exostar (sent from address will be sent to the address listed for the site contact in MRL s CTMS (SPECTRUM). If you cannot locate the , please follow instructions in Step 2 to retrieve your Activation information via Self-Service. Alternatively, you can contact the MRL Service Desk and they will provide your Activation & instructions. The subject is titled: i. Action Required: Activate your Exostar SAM Account for MSD This contains the Activation URL b. Follow the Activation Instructions in the Action Required: Activate your Exostar SAM Account for MSD . Click on the activation URL provided as shown below. This will navigate you to the New Password screen. NOTE: The activation URL expires after 30 days. When your activation URL has expired, you will receive a new with a new activation URL. If you click on the expired URL, you can request to have a new activation URL sent to your address. 29 Sep 2017 Page 1 of 10

3 d. Provide Password Reset Secrets by answering the 4 questions and click Submit. NOTE IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER YOUR ANSWERS: You will need to answer two of these questions in order to reset your password. If you would like to add a Phone Number to receive a voice or text message if you forget your Password Reset Secret answers, ensure to check the box next to Add Phone Number for additional security as shown below prior to clicking Submit. If you choose to add a Phone Number, complete Steps 1.e 1.f. If you choose NOT to add a Phone Number, skip to step 1.g. 29 Sep 2017 Page 3 of 10

4 e. Choose TEXT or VOICE as a message delivery type and entery COUNTRY and PHONE NUMBER. Country calling code will automatically be added to phone number. Click NEXT. f. Enter the VERIFICATION CODE received via your phone. Click COMPLETE ACTIVATION. 29 Sep 2017 Page 4 of 10

5 g. Read the Application Service Agreement. Click I Agree when ready (after clicking I have read and agree to these terms and conditions). After agreeing, you will receive an with a copy of the Agreement and Terms & Conditions that were accepted if you check the box indicating you would like a copy ed to you. Locate the MRL Clinical Learning Management System item on the Exostar page and click Open Application symbol in the upper right hand corner of the Clinical Learning Manage System item to access CLMS. i. Click on the MY ACCOUNT tab and review your personal contact information and make any changes if necessary. Make desired change and click Continue. Review the changes and click Submit to process the changes. You will receive an confirming the changes. 7 2. Forgot First Time Activation Information Instructions (Self-Service Instructions Only complete Step 2 if you cannot locate the shown in Step 1) a. Click on the link to access the Exostar Login Page. b. Enter in the information requested on the screen: i. User ID/ ID: This is the SAM ID or the address that is on file for you in MRL s CTMS (SPECTRUM). c. Click Continue. NOTE: If you entered a wrong address or User ID, or you have previously activated your account, you will be prompted to enter a password. If you are prompted to enter a password and if you have previously activated your accout, follow the instructions in Step 1.g to access CLMS. If you are prompted to enter a password and if the ID or User ID was wrong, contact your CRA or MRL Service Desk to determine which address was used for your account. 29 Sep 2017 Page 7 of 10

8 d. First Time Login screen will be displayed where you can enter the Verification code following on-screen instructions. Enter the Verificatin code and click on RESEND ACTIVATION button. e. Check your for message titled Action Required: Activate your Exostar SAM Account for MSD. Click on the link provided in the as shown. f. Click Continue and then follow instructions in Steps 1.c through 1.i to complete the SAM Registration Process. 29 Sep 2017 Page 8 of 10

9 3. Bookmarking URL for future access to CLMS via Exostar SAM. a. Please create a bookmark for this link (Internet Explorer Instructions included here. If using a different browser, apply these concepts to other browser) b. Within Internet Explorer, click Add to Favorite s Bar c. Right click on the bookmark that was just created and select Properties d. Update the URL with the URL provided below: e. Click Apply and then click OK. f. If you are not already signed in to Exostar SAM, you will be prompted to enter your SAM User ID (or address) & Password. First, enter the User ID (or address) and click CONTINUE. 29 Sep 2017 Page 9 of 10

10 g. Next, enter the Password and click LOGIN. Note User ID/ ID will be populated with User ID/ ID entered in step 3f. h. The CLMS Home page will be displayed. As long as you remain signed in to Exostar, you can access CLMS directly by clicking on the bookmark. If you log out of Exostar or CLMS (or shutdown/restart your PC), you will be required to enter your SAM User ID/Password when you select the CLMS URL bookmark.
