3 Welcome to HSA Bank! This guide will provide you with details about how to use the Member Website to manage your Health Savings Account (HSA). The Member Website gives you 24/7 online access to manage your account. Some of the key features you may want to take advantage of include: Setting up direct deposit Updating your profile Checking your balance and account activity Adding an Authorized Signer to your account Ordering additional debit cards Viewing notifications advice of deposits and account statements 3
4 Member Website Overview Initial Login Process To create your account online, go to Select the Create your new username and password link from the bottom of the page. Step 1: Enter the identifying information requested on the page. Step 2: Answer three security questions. (The questions shown are just three of the possibilities you can select other questions). 4
5 Step 3: Create your Username and Password. The password you create will expire and must be reset after 90 days. Step 4: Please read and accept the E-sign Consent and Online Services agreements. You must open Agreements and scroll to the bottom to the check boxes. 5
6 Step 5: Please enter your address to receive communications about your account electronically. Future Login When you return to login again, enter the username and password you created in step 3, and click Login. If your account is locked, please contact HSA Bank s Client Assistance Center at Forgot Username/Password If you have forgotten your username or password, click the appropriate link on the login page. Follow the steps to reset your password. 6
7 Home Upon successful login to the Member Website, the Home Page will appear on your screen. Each tab from your Home Page offers an easy-to-use navigation system for viewing information on your personal account. 7
8 Accounts The Accounts Tab offers the ability to view your account summary details, make a contribution or request a distribution from your account, and track expenses, among other things. 8
9 Online Contributions and Distributions Online contributions and distributions can be made to your HSA through the Member Website. Once you have added your bank account information, you can simply set up one-time or recurring contributions so you can always be sure your HSA is appropriately funded. Please follow the instructions below to successfully set up an online contribution. 9
10 Distributions for IRS-qualified medical expenses can be made from the account to a personal checking account for purposes of reimbursement or via check directly to the provider to pay a bill. Accountholders must have bank account information on file in order to make an online contribution into an HSA. To begin, you will need to set up your bank account information if you have not already done so. Click on Profile, and then select Banking/Cards. Next, select Add Bank Account. 10
11 Under Bank Account Information Add: o Routing Number o Account Number o Confirm Account Number o Account Type o Account Nickname Under Bank Institution Information Add: o Bank Name o Bank Address o City o State o Zip Code Click Submit. 11
12 HSA Bank will make a small deposit to your external account within three (3) business days to verify the banking information. Once the deposit is received in your external account, you will confirm your banking information by following the steps below: Click Profile tab. Click Banking/Cards. Click Activate. Enter the micro deposit amount (between $0.01 and $1.99). Then click submit. 12
13 From the home screen, select Make HSA Transaction. Make sure to select the correct origination and destination bank accounts for a contribution, click Next Select your contribution schedule: o One-Time o Recurring Read the Contribution Disclaimer. Check the box that you have read, understand, and agree to the information and terms and conditions. Click Add Contribution. 13
14 Profile The Profile Tab will assist you with reviewing your personal demographic information, along with offering the functionality to add a bank account for online contribution and distribution from your HSA. Statements & Notifications The Statements & Notifications Tab will store the reminders you have received regarding your account, such as statements and tax documents. 14
15 Investments To open an HSA investment account or manage your existing investments online, log in to the Member Website. From the Accounts tab, click on Investments. To move monies from/to your investment account, select Manage Investments 15
16 To move monies either to or from your investment account, click on Choose an Action drop down menu. 16
17 Tools & Support The Tools & Support Tab will provide you with forms, rules & agreements, quick links, and contact information that you may need to manage your account. 17
18 Update Your Profile If you want to change your address or your home/mailing address, simply select the Profile tab and click on the Update Profile link. If your name has changed, please complete the Name Change Request Form located under the Tools & Support tab of the Member Website. 18
19 Update the information as necessary and select Submit. 19
20 Add Authorized Signer An authorized signer may be added through the Member Website. Navigate to the Profile screen and click Add Authorized signer. Complete the information on the following screens and click submit. 20
21 Reimbursement Options Check When requesting a distribution from your Health Savings Account, you will receive a check from your account. Please allow 5-6 business days for the check to arrive once your distribution has been processed. Online Bill Pay To provide additional payment flexibility while utilizing your HSA, you have the option to request a distribution check made from your account. The check will be sent directly to the payee listed. Please follow the below instructions to successfully submit an online distribution request. Select the I Want To tab, then select Make HSA Transaction. In the From field, select My HSA. In the To field, select Someone Else. You will then enter the payee information. Enter the amount you wish to pay. Enter the name of the person who received the service in the Payee Name field (information will appear on the printed check for reference). Select Add a New Payee or select one you have used before. Complete the Payee information (this will be who the check is made payable to). Include an account number if applicable. The Provider Account Number will also appear on the printed check. Complete the address of where the check should be mailed. Once you have completed the Payee information, click Next. 21
22 You will lastly need to confirm the frequency of your payment. Click Next to submit check request for processing. **Checks will generally be mailed within 72 hours of your request. If it is necessary to sell investments in order to cover your distribution request, this may take up to six business days. 22
23 myhealth Portfolio SM Track your health expenses easily with HSA Bank. Simply click on the myhealth Portfolio tab. Details of your debit card transactions can be viewed by clicking on any expense. Add a photo of your receipt electronically by clicking Add Expense. Simply complete the receipt upload information, browse the photo of your receipt. Then Click Add to add it to your myhealth Portfolio. Lastly, click Pay if you paid out of pocket for this expense and need to be reimbursed. 23
