1 ABOUT GATHERING OF NATIONS Annually in April, more than 3000 Native American singers and dancers will attend the largest Powwow in North America in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This Pow wow, is a festive atmosphere featuring both traditional & competition Powwow singing & dancing and includes the mainstays of this great event: Miss Indian World Pageant and Crowning, Indian Traders Market (Arts & Crafts vendors), Powwow Alley (food court) and Stage 49. Stage 49 provides an additional musical and performance alternative to the Powwow, where entertainers have the opportunity to showcase their talents before a major, and global audience. Entertainers are also featured in the Powwow arena prior to Grand Entry and strolling entertainers in the Powwow Alley area. VERY IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTE: The 3 performance area s which include: Powwow Grounds (strolling entertainers), Powwow Arena & Stage 49 are offered and produced as courtesy stage opportunities for entertainers who are already independently planning to attend the Gathering of Nations Pow wow. Entertainers are responsible for their own transportation; accommodations and performance fees are not available. BENEFITS: Line-up will be listed in Gathering of Nations Program Web link to entertainer site from GON website and GON Stage 49 facebook Web link included within GON e-newsletters (30,000+ readers) when lineup finalized. BEFORE YOU FILL OUT THE APPLICATION, READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY: - Family oriented performances only. If your CD has an EXPLICIT WARNING label on it, it is not appropriate for GON audiences. Music or Video s submitted and containing profanity will not be considered. - MUST have a group photo - All applicable areas must filled out.
