4 The SFCC BLUECARD The little blue card that can do big things! What is my BLUECARD? Your BLUECARD is your SFCC ID card and is required to be presented when charging items and books in the Campus Store, checking out materials in the Donald C. Proctor Library and other places where student identification is required. The front of the card is your identification. The back of your card contains a magnetic strip which holds your account information. There also is a bar code on the back with your student/employee ID number. The bar code is used to check materials out at the library. How can I use my BLUECARD? You may add value to your BLUECARD in the form of Roadrunner Bucks and use your card for purchases. For example, use the Roadrunner Bucks in your BLUECARD account to purchase items in the Campus Store and at the Café on the Sedalia campus and to purchase copies from printers in the library and computer labs, PC classrooms, and open areas at the Sedalia, Boonville, Clinton and Lake of the Ozarks locations. Copies cost 5 cents per page. However, at the beginning of the fall, spring and summer semesters, all students will receive 20 FREE pages with which to start the semester. Once the free pages have been used, you will need to purchase Roadrunner Bucks with cash, check, debit or credit card. How do I add value to my account? Add Roadrunner Bucks to your BLUECARD online at Click the Add Funds Now button to load funds with MasterCard, Visa or Discover. A $10 minimum applies when adding funds online; funds are loaded immediately. You may also add Roadrunner Bucks by going to the cashier s window at the Business Office in the Hopkins Center or by calling the Business Office at (660) using a debit or credit card. A $5 minimum applies when adding funds at the cashier s window; funds are loaded within 24 hours. For more frequently asked questions, visit

16 Be aware of refund dates. If you drop a class after the 100% credit/refund date you will owe tuition and fees for that class. The amount you owe will be determined by the date you drop the class. If you receive financial aid, dropping a class will affect your financial aid status for Pell Grants, student loans and other aid. Ask a Financial Aid Advisor to be sure! Dropping a class will affect your scholarship, VA benefits, A+, WIA, or other aid pro- grams. Be aware that in most cases you will lose money, and you may lose the scholarship or benefits entirely!. Ask a Financial Aid Advisor to be sure! Dropping to less than full time status (going from 12 or more credit hours to less than 12 credit hours) may adversely impact auto or medical insurance coverage. Check with your insurance agent. Have you talked to your instructor about dropping the class? Can you make up the missed work or complete extra credit work? Ask your instructor! Is the class a prerequisite for another class you need? Will dropping this class delay graduation or transfer plans? Ask you advisor to be sure! Are you working too many hours? If so, is there another solution? The more you work the less time you have to study which leads to lower grades! Ask your employer! Have you taken advantage of available tutoring services? Contact the Student Achievement Center Bottom line...ask questions and know the impact of dropping classes before you drop! For last dates to drop courses, always refer to the Academic Calendar located on the SFCC website at w w w. s f c c m o. e d u o r speak with your Student Success Navigator
