1 New website and new features are you making the most of your space? Our new website went live at the beginning of November. We hope you ll agree that it s a massive improvement on the last one and that all the new features that come with it will help you to make more of your Buy With Confidence Membership. If you ve not had the chance to get familiar with the changes yet, read on to find out what s available. The new upgraded BWC website was designed with the aim of improving customer access, modernising the scheme s web presence and providing more control for our members. The website address is still the same so don t worry, you don t need to change anything if you are already using our logo or stickers.

2 Here are a few of the new features that are quick and easy to do: Log in - The new website has been designed with a member dashboard. All businesses will have received an from the BWC administrator with their username and password. If you haven t got it, or you ve forgotten your details, don t worry, we can reset them, simply send your business name and the request to be reset to admin@buywithconfidence.gov.uk, or use the contact us form on the website. By logging in you will now be able to change your contact details, add or amend trade categories, choose accreditations like Gas Safe to have the logo featured during searches, add text or comments about your business, send and receive messages with the team, change your username and password and add your own logo to your profile. Please note that all changes, other than username and password, will first have to be approved by us, this ensures that we keep our database up to date too so you don t miss out on any correspondence. You will also be able to quickly review your profile analytics; see how many times your business has appeared in a search and how many views your profile page has received. Optimise your chances search results appear in proximity to postcode and sometimes your business will appear in a long list of similar businesses all hoping to attract potential new customers to view their profile - so make sure that you stand out. Upload your logo. Here are a couple of examples from our own members demonstrating how good it can look when you ve added your logo it really makes your profile individual. 3 So has Chris at Attic Designs; Chris has also added comments about his business to welcome potential customers, inviting them to know more about his businesses and what he can offer. Log in and upload yours today and don t forget to join the conversation on and share it with us and all our followers. Feedback Buy With Confidence is not a feedback scheme but it is a requirement of your membership that you ask all your customers to consider leaving you a review. Good feedback demonstrates excellent customer service, and your scores are reflected as part of your profile.

4 Here s an example from one of our members who is extremely proactive when it comes to asking customers to send in their thoughts. Want to tell everyone how good you are lots of our members have already done so at Early technical problems meant that we were only able to upload three months worth of historical feedback for each of our members but now we ve upped the amount to show feedback dating back to October In our experience customers will be unlikely to look back at more than one years worth of comments so we will not be uploading comments before October We re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but would encourage you to ask all your new customers to leave you their reviews so that your ratings quickly increase. Feedback can be left either online, via or by using the feedback cards we provide you with. Feedback cards are available and will be supplied with a freepost envelope for their return. Google Analytics One significant improvement from the old website is that we can now see statistical information about the number of people visiting our site. We re always looking for ways to improve our position in search engines, the higher up we are the more likely people are to use the site and find our businesses.

5 Please do your bit to help. Just by having a link to our website from yours can see improvements. If you previously had a link to your old website business profile page then you will need to amend this as the address will no longer work.
