Hardware Requirements The minimum hardware cmpnents required are: Intel cmpatible prcessr running at a minimum f 1 GHz 1 GB RAM (Advanced surveys require additinal RAM) 1 GB hard disk: the base installatin is apprximately 250 MB; the additinal space required depends n the number and size f yur survey prjects 24 x CD-ROM drive fr installatin r dwnladed installatin file Mnitr with at least 800 x 600 reslutin Display prperties set t 96 DPI r equivalent. SurveyTracker generates all the files necessary fr these surveys t perate n the web. 3 Respnse Data Respnse data can be returned by r stred as a file n the server. Cllecting respnses by Respnses must be sent t a lcal inbx running a supprted mail prgram (see Cllecting Respnse Data frm Lcally Hsted Web Surveys at the end f dcument fr details) in rder t cllect the data; web-based mail prgrams are nt supprted. Additinal Web Server Requirements Passwrd, respnse merge, and Save and Resume functinality must use ASP scripts n Windws servers that supprt 32bit applicatins. 4 Respnses: If respnses are stred n the server, the average size f the file depends n the length f the survey, the number f respnses, and the length f write-in respnses. Fr example, a data file with 150 respnses t a 25 questin survey can be abut 22k. External web databases: If an external web database is used, its file size will vary depending n the number f respndents in the list. A database with 250 members starts at 100k. This database des nt stre respnse data. SurveyTracker Web Survey Hsting Service Requirements An ptinal Web Survey Hsting Service is available t SurveyTracker Plus /Web users. Cntact yur accunt manager fr mre infrmatin abut this hsting service. The hsting Web server is pre-cnfigured t wrk with SurveyTracker Web Surveys. This service requires: Dcumentatin fr cnfiguring the web distributin as supplied by vendr. Open Internet access t allw uplad/dwnlad f files. 5 SurveyTracker Survey Sftware fr Netwrks Client/Server System Requirements SurveyTracker Netwrk is a Client/Server sftware applicatin. Nte: Users respnsible fr installatin must have administrative rights. Netwrk Server Requirements The SurveyTracker Netwrk Server is installed n a cmputer n yur netwrk that acts as a server fr the client applicatins. The server database huses the user and prject database and facilitates cmmunicatin and sharing between wrkstatins. Sftware requirements Micrsft Windws Server 2003, Windws Server 2008, Windws Server 2012, Windws Vista, Windws 7, Windws 8.1, and Windws 10. Hardware requirements 1 Ghz r faster prcessr (Installatins serving mre than that 4 cncurrent users may benefit frm additinal r faster prcessrs). 1 GB RAM (Additinal system RAM may be needed and is dependent n the number f cncurrent users). 1 GB hard disk space (Base install is arund 150MB - additinal drive space is needed and is dependent n the number and size f survey prjects fr all users). CD-ROM drive fr installatin r dwnladed installatin file. 100 Base-T Ethernet r faster netwrk cnnectin. SurveyTracker uses prts 61982, 61983, and t facilitate cmmunicatin (these prts may be changed). Additinal Server Installatin Cnsideratins The server cmpnent installs n a cmputer n yur netwrk. It des nt install n a web server. The server cmpnent can be installed: On its wn dedicated system, r wrk ff a server used fr ther tasks. On a server cmputer r n a desktp PC acting as a server fr the clients. In a virtual envirnment. 6 Netwrk Client Requirements: The SurveyTracker Netwrk Client applicatins are installed n wrkstatin cmputers n the same netwrk as the server. The client installatin cnsists f the SurveyTracker applicatin which interfaces with the server and database t display the user's prjects. Nte: Users respnsible fr installatin must have administrative rights. Sftware Requirements Micrsft Windws XP, Windws Vista, Windws 7, Windws 8.1, r Windws 10. Hardware Requirements IBM PC r cmpatible with at least an Intel Pentium 4 prcessr. At least 1GB RAM (2GB r mre is strngly recmmended). CD-ROM drive fr installatin r dwnladed installatin file. Apprximately 250MB f hard disk space. Mnitr reslutin f at least 800x600. Display prperties set t 96 DPI r equivalent. Administrative rights during installatin. Additinal Client Installatin Cnsideratins If desired, the client can be installed n the same cmputer as the server. The client can be installed in a virtual envirnment.
