1 2012 Holiday E-Cards Contents: Available Holiday E-card Templates Industry Mailout Instructions Outlook Instructions Available Holiday E-card Templates There are several Sauder Holiday E-cards templates available. Each version is also available with the Sauder RHL dual identity. Version 1 is a new template, whereas Version 2 and 3 are templates from previous years. Version 1: Tree Version 2: Door Version 3: Ribbon
2 Industry Mailout Instructions 1. Download and save the attached keyboard tree image 2. Log into Industry Mailout 3. Determine whether you need a version with the Sauder RHL logo or with the Sauder logo. You should be able to choose Sauder Holiday Card or Sauder RHL Holiday Card from your list of templates 4. You should see this screen: 5. Under the Images section, click on Add
3 6. You should see this screen: Click on OK 7. Now you should see this screen: 8. Click on Images 9. Select the new image, click on No Resizing and click Upload 10. Now you should see a screen with your image. Click on Back 11. Now you can add a holiday message ( Create new Article ) by clicking on the Add button:
4 12. Type in your content and click ok 13. You will be brought back to the Edit Mailout screen. Scroll to the bottom and click Preview HTML to see a preview of what you card will look like This is the Title This is the Content The preview probably opened in a new tab which you can close now if you like. 14. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Mailout screen and click OK 15. Send a test message to yourself to ensure your e-card looks good 16. You should be able to send your as you normally would.
5 Instructions for Outlook 2007 and earlier You can view the templates in your internet browser of choice - just click on the attachment. Once you have decided which one to use, save it in a place that you will be able to easily find it, like your desktop. Navigate to your file in Explorer and copy the path to it. (It should look something like this: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER\Desktop\holiday card.mhtml) To customize it, open Outlook. On the top menu bar (where you see File, Edit, View, etc.) right-click on the empty space. A menu will drop down. Make sure Web is checked. This will cause a number of new icons to appear. One will have text in it starting with Outlook: Copy and paste your file path in this box. Hit enter, and the file will then preview in the Outlook message pane. From the Outlook menu bar, select Actions, then Send Web Page by . A new message with the template will appear. Be sure to edit the subject line so it only says Happy Holidays from the Sauder School of Business. To change the message, highlight and delete the text that says Type your personal message here. Type your own message accordingly. Before you send this off to your mailing lists, please test the message to ensure that there are no formatting problems. Test the message by sending it to your personal , to coworkers, etc. If there are no problems, send the message again to your intended recipients.
6 Instructions for Outlook 2010 You can view the templates in your internet browser of choice - just click on the mhtml attachment. Once you have decided which template to use, open it in Word, and make your edits to the text. Then save it in a place where you will be able to easily find it, like your desktop. Open up Outlook 2010 and create a new message. Click on Attach File Find your.mhtml file (in this case Happy Holidays from Sauder School of Business - revised.mhtml ). Then, click on the drop down next to Insert, as shown in the picture above. Click on that, then scroll down and click on Insert as Text. Before you send this off to your mailing lists, please test the message to ensure that there are no formatting problems. Test the message by sending it to your personal , to coworkers, etc. If there are no problems, send the message again to your intended recipients.
