Registering with the HVS CCTV IPhone/Android App

1 Installing Hills Video Security CCTV APP on your Android/IPhone Device The following document is to guide you through the installation setup for the Hills Video Security CCTV app. It is a basic quick guide for the initial setup. Once completed everything else is straight forward. 1. First you will need to download the App. I am using an android, so for iphone users you will need to use the App Store. Please select the Hills Video Security CCTV App. Then download the app. This is a free app.

2 2. Once the app has been downloaded locate the app on your device then open it. When the app has been opened you will see a screen like the following. Select the menu button in the top left hand corner as you see in the picture then click on Hills Auto-Config at the bottom of the menu. 3.

3 3. An address must be registered in order to view your device and cameras. Click Register.

4 4. Enter the desired address which you will utilize for viewing your cameras. Enter the verification picture and then click on Get Verification Code.

5 5. Once you have received your enter the 4 digit verification code which was provided to you. NOTE: You have 30 minutes to enter verification code. If you have not yet received your then you may have to use an alternate address as the one you chose is blocking incoming s from certain addresses.

6 6. Once the verification code has been approved the account settings page will appear. Enter a username and create your own password. NOTE: Password must contain at least 1 letter and 1 number. Use a complex password if possible. Username may already be used by someone else with the same name. You can just add a number after the name or create a name that nobody may have.

7 7. You will now be prompted to add a device. Click on the + sign in the top right hand corner.

8 8. After clicking the + sign your camera will appear to be open with a red line across the middle. This is used to scan your QR code located at the bottom of your Hills NVR. If the camera does not appear to be working you can click on the pen icon located in the top right hand corner and you can enter the Serial Number manually.

9 9. Once the device has been added successfully you will see it appear under local devices. NOTE: If the NVR icon is blue the NVR is connected to the Internet. If the icon is grey you may have to check your hardware and be sure your internet is working onsite.

10 10. Once you have selected the device you will see a page like the one displayed here. Click on start live view to start viewing your cameras.

11 11. Depending on how many cameras you have you can select the blank camera which is not being used and drag it to the top of the screen to remove it. You will then see only the cameras which you have connected. This is an example of the live view screen and 2 cameras connected. If you have a 4CH NVR by default you will see 4 cameras. If you only have 2 cameras connected remove the other blank screens as they do not need to be seen.

12 12. Below is the account settings page where you can only modify your password and select the auto-login setting. The username and cannot be changed and you must contact technical support if you wish to be removed from the cloud.
